TEEN SCENE
Mimi and Jan break into the school. They mention "throwing" Chloe's picture up on the website (neither knowing how, but figure it can't be that hard). Jan pulls out a drill to install the hidden web camera. A security guy is patrolling with his flashlight. They speculate who Chloe's father is and hear the guard nearby. He runs his flashlight around (duh, why not turn on the lights?) and finds the bag the girls brought. They hide in the corner as he asks if anyone's there (must be a Salem PD hopeful). His cell phone rings and he's called away. Mimi tries to leave, fearful, remembering how Chloe almost burned down her own house. Mimi doesn't want to be homeless again. Jan stops her and promises Mimi they'll never be victims again. She sits on Mimi's shoulders to install the camera inside the vent in the locker room.

BACK TO THE ICE
Torvil and Dean, er, I mean, Chloe and Philip, continue their talk on the ice after he told her he loved her. She's crying and keeps skating away from Philip. She doesn't know what to say to Philip and he was hoping that he wasn't the only one feeling that way. (the other skaters are back now, they must have taken a cocoa break) Chloe mentions she has insomnia and it's gotten worse lately. He apologizes about all those late night mochas (LOL) they've had and she tells him it's more due to laying in bed thinking about him. He's digging it. She tells him she likes their private time, but it's so hard when they're near people who are against them. They must have skated away from the others as there's no music playing and no one else around now. She tells him how angry she got when holding the rat in front of Jan's face and it scared her, and she's afraid of herself at times. He tells her to call him anytime she needs him. He's happy with his life and now especially with her in it, it's that much better. She doesn't want him to worry about her, but he tells her he thinks about her all the time and she's like his best friend. She suggests they go back, but he tells her not yet. He wrote her a poem for Christmas (big spender). May not be exact, but it's close... Tell me what you're thinking Tell me what you feel Tell me what you're thinking It must be very real. Thoughts are deep inside you They're locked up tight They'd really do much better If you brought them out into the light. Tell me what you're thinking Don't wait until you're old and gray Why wait until tomorrow When I care enough today. Chloe's amazed at the poem and how well Philip knows her. She wants to give him a present too, but all she wants to give him now is a big kiss (which she does).

Back at the Christmas Eve wedding reception The people are dancing to Run Run Rudolph (LOL) having a ball. Lexie tells Abe (now back with the skates) that Isaac fell asleep and Celeste came to pick him up (I though he was home with Celeste anyway?). He's happy when Lexie tells him the news that they have more time alone. Shawn and Belle return to the reception still wearing their ice skates. Shawn accidentally mentions the fact that his mom and dad were married without all the pomp and circumstances to his grandparents and yells across the room to his parents he's revealing their big family secret. Bo and Hope give the "deer in the headlights" look fearing what they consider the big family secret (JT). He mentions it concerns his little brother (uh oh) and then how they got married in the delivery room. The grandparents remember being evicted and everyone laughs as Bo mentions it wasn't a photo op time then. The cake cutting begins and both Bo and Hope grab a handful She dares him not to do it and Bo remembers his father saying to always be a gentlemen, BUT also that he has to defend himself. She teases him, but puts the cake in front of his mouth and he does the same, getting a little icing on her nose. Hope does the same to Alice and laughs. Seconds later Belle and Shawn skate away with their piece of wedding cake and bickering (bringing memories back to the newlyweds) and back onto the ice. He knows they'll dance later on (are they going straight to the gift opening under the tree after the reception?), but asks Belle if they can have a dance alone now and turns on his boom box. She agrees. The song "Let it Snow" begins to play and as Belle removes her jacket (it's too warm?), as she picks up a snowball. He does the same.

She throws hers at him and he smooshes it against her bare back (brr). They start ice dancing and stop to stare into each other's eyes. They bow to each other at the end of the dance and she twirls away. He tries to ham it up and falls on his butt (LOL). She goes to help him up and he pulls her down on top of him. He twirls her around and her bare back gets cold. He looks down and sees THE CAN in the ice. They remember throwing it into the river and he says the river dumps into this canal. He figures the can is following them and they need to get it out. He hands her coat to her and they leave. Gran whispers to Hope that she thought she was going to throw her bouquet to Jenn. Hope tells her that she promised Jenn she wouldn't throw the bouquet to her, so is breaking tradition and gives it to Gran. She tells Gran how she taught her to say I love you at an early age, what different flowers meant, etc. (sweet speech) She knows that even back then Gran was preparing her for this big day. Because of Gran, Hope is able to tell her husband she loves him and did learn her lesson years ago. Everyone applauds and Jenn tears up. She tells Abby she's crying because of what Hope said and how she loves Gran too. Abby tells Jenn that's how she feels about her mommy as well. Abby asks about her daddy and asks why he doesn't call. Jenn tells her daughter she'll see her daddy soon. Jenn and Roman share they're both thinking about their own marriages. She's glad she and Jack didn't get married again and is just sorry she gave Abby the hopes there was a chance they would. He hopes Brady's getting feelings in his legs will bring John and Marlena together again. He confesses that he would have liked a second chance with Marlena, but hopes the best for them too. Bo gets ready to throw the garter and fetches it from Hope's thigh with his teeth (ooh la la). Shawn D. catches it, but quickly tosses it to Roman and walks away. Caroline tells Abby the tradition being the man who catches the garter will have good luck in marriage (I thought he was the next one to get married?). Abby asks Roman if he's going to keep it, or does he already have good luck (guess she doesn't know Roman well?) Shawn asks Bo for his pick axe and tells him there's a mystery out in the canal. Abe and Lexie like the sound of that and want to go with him. The four of them skate out on the ice and Shawn tells them about seeing something under the ice and wanting to get it. Belle watches as Shawn pounds the ice. A couple of pounds on the ice and he says Oh My Gosh as Belle watches concerned. Shawn digs out the can and there's a hand holding onto it. Abe and Lexie skate up as Belle cries out. Lexie (the doctor/former cop) sees the body and starts screaming as Abe stares at the body. (picture is really dark, but figure it's Marlo). Tonight I Celebrate My Love plays and Hope and Bo dance. He hopes it's their last dance and she whispers in his ear. Alone they remember their wonderful day. He tosses some rose petals on the floor and he asks if she's Hope-less Love and he carries her off (hey, the cake is barely cut, guests must be on a diet or maybe tired, haha.) as the credits roll.

GEE, AND THIS SAMPSON DOES NOT EVEN HAVE LONG HAIR......
o.k. I know we have to be nearing the end of this debacle....Replay of Austin doing away with the first gladiator. He then has to fight the remaining ones at the same time. When Greta cries out that it is not fair....2 against 1...Charles agrees, then makes all of Austin's weapons disappear. Greta prays, and Austin delivers a couple of karate kicks, and more or less boxes with them both....even managing to eventually defeating the two of them. Charles is not happy about this, and announces time for Phase 2. Despite protests from Greta and her mother, there is another opponent..one that cannot be defeated, so they say. Austin looks up, and there stands something that looks like the Creature from the Black Lagoon (if anyone remembers that sci-fi movie). Cue the proverbial "deer in the headlights" look from Austin when he sees his next opponent

STILL CHRISTMAS EVE AND THE MALL IS GOING STRONG......
Brandon and Sami argue with Angela about Brandon's treatment of his mother. Sami tells Brandon how Angela gave Moroni the tape, and Brandon manages to make Angela feel very guilty after reminding her how upset she got with the way he treated his mother and then giving the tape away that might help reunite Will from his mother. They argue long and loud about it, Angela feels remorseful and says she will leave town and will go pack now. Brandon sees the Moroni limo, and sweet talks Angela, declaring his love for her. Moroni calls Angela to come talk in the limo, and she promises Brandon she will get the tape back. Moroni refuses to give the tape back to Angela and she pressures him. Suddenly, he seems to be having a heart attack, so Angela orders the driver to take them to the hospital, presto! Brandon & Sami only see the car quickly drive off.

OUT ON THE CANAL.......
Replay of Shawn chopping the ice and discovery of Marlo's body. Shawn takes the mystery can. He tells Belle the river empties into the canal, so that is how the can must have traveled. Bo & Hope hear the commotion and screams and Bo goes to investigate. Philip and Chloe come over, but Abe tells everyone to get back being it's a police scene. Chloe seems fascinated by the discovery of what she calls "The Lady in the Lake" (I remember that movie, too), but Belle is very upset and leaves with Shawn. Chloe tells Philip that hearing Lexie's scream at the moment of Philip's declaration of love seems to be an omen that their relationship is doomed (?) Abe, Bo & Lexie mention there is no way to tell if male or female, and Abe calls the police station to report the discovery and request an investigative team. He is told someone "on active duty" has to authorize this, and Bo takes the phone to do so. (Please tell me that if an ordinary citizen calls to report something like this, the police will refuse to come out unless......oh, I forgot, this is Salem P.D.)

INSIDE THE RECEPTION TENT..........
Bo picks Hope up and is just about ready to take her inside when they hear screaming from the ice. He tells her to stay with JT while he runs out to investigate. He joins the group to see the body in the ice. Belle is cold, so Shawn takes her up to the tent to warm up. They find Hope cuddling JT, who is still wearing the tux (WHY is that child not asleep in his room?) and tell her about finding the body. We see Belle and Hope drinking hot chocolate in the kitchen and talking about ice skating (apparently Hope gave Belle some skating lessons the previous weekend and was watching her off and on from the reception as she knew Belle had fallen a few times). Belle tells her how they were all having so much fun with the wedding and the skating...and then things change so fast. She then compares this to Brady, and talks about him and his accident, and how it changed things. Belle confides to Hope, how much she cared about Brady, and the special relationship they have, which she always kept rather private. She tells Hope about Marlena and how she treats Brady. Hope is surprised at this, but gives Belle a pep talk and comforts her. Hope knows that Marlena is dealing with other issues as well, but can't tell Belle what they are. Shawn arrives with a blanket to put around Belle, when Philip and Chloe arrive. They talk about the mystery can, and how it has "come back" to them. Flashbacks among the teens to Jan getting her hand cut on the can, Shawn throwing it in the river. Belle wants to throw it away, but Chloe says no, and Shawn agrees. They decide they have to get the Sanskrit writing on it interpreted. Bo arrives, but Shawn only says he started chopping ice cause he saw this soda can glinting through the ice, and it was a dumb thing to do. Abe and Lexie come in, saying the coroner has arrived, and is waiting for forensics. Abe mentions to Bo about the legs of the body...as they both agree it looked as if something was tied to one of them. Lexie flashes back to seeing Marlo dead on the floor at Stefano's, and questioning her father about his disposal of it. She has a frightened look on her face.....as the credits roll.

AUSTIN VS. THE MONSTER FROM OUTER SPACE (OR HELL AS CURTIS CALLS IT) AS THE GOE BECOMES HISTORY FOLKS
Lucky me, I get the gladiator pit as the monster spews out flame balls and blasts of energy. He finally revs up all of his energy to emit lightning from both hands which holds Austin in the air. If Austin gives up, he can live, but he doesn't, so the monster turns the white lightning bolts into red ones (how stupid) and bores a hole through Austin so we can see Greta through the other side. He falls to the ground. Charles doesn't look happy though as PG disappears and the Grim Reaper (?) argues with Curtis about something. Greta rushes to help Austin (with that hole in his chest, even Dr. Mike would have a hard time bringing him back to life ;-). Curtis yells for someone to stop her. Greta kneels over Austin saying he passed every test and virtue. She waves her hand over his chest and his chest heals and he sits up (amazing!). Charles mutters it's too late as he, Curtis and whoever she was, disappears. Austin and Greta feel sunlight on them and they magically appear back in the castle drawing room with a fire blazing and they're back in normal clothes. Ingrid Mitchell walks in and informs them that they passed Phase I. There's only one more phase, and it's training. She says she's in charge of the coronation plans for Greta and not to worry, the hard part is over. They've each got a bedroom in the castle to sleep in and they'll talk in the morning. Austin has to call Sami first (this is just after Brandon proposed below).

THE HONEYMOON
Bo and Hope finally make it to bed (isn't it time to open up Christmas gifts yet?). She comes out of the bathroom in a white negligee, telling Bo she's nervous (LOL). They kiss and feel more like soul mates then ever. He wants tonight to be perfect for them (uh, how about "morning") as they toast the bubbly (Sparkling Cider). They talk about their unexpected guest (Marlo) and Hope's concerned it's a bad omen. They toast cider and he turns on music (Valentine) as they dance a little. He helps her off with her negligee robe and she unbuttons his shirt and kisses his chest (definitely a Mike R picture tomorrow, hint) with a candle burning in the forefront. Later we return to her giving him a gift she made for him (hey, her robe is back on, whatsupwiththat?). It's a white satin pillow saying Happiness is Being Married to Your Best Friend. Gran helped her with the needlepoint she admits.

THE CARVERS
Abe and Lexie are now home. She hugs Isaac and Abe tells her it's late (no kidding!) and they should put the baby to bed. They're out of their wedding clothes and in regular clothes, not nightwear. Lexie remembers finding a dead Marlo and promises herself that no one will take her baby away from her. Abe promises no one will He brings up concern that they don't know what happened to Marlo. He remembered her now as the incredible loss she had in not having Isaac and he inquires as to where Marlo is now. Lexie doesn't know and when Abe suggests looking for her, she discourages it. The coroner calls and Abe informs him he's not on active duty, but the coroner offers to give him info off the record. The corpse is officially a Jane Doe in her mid to late 20's. Lexie comments what a horrible way to be murdered and he tells her he didn't mention anything about a murder. She covers, but Abe tells her it was foul play as there was rope tied around one of her legs. They know she had been there for quite a while though. A forensic artist will help them in identifying the body. He leaves to put Isaac to bed.

THE BLUE NOTE?
Sami (still wearing her formal outfit she wore to the wedding) finds Brandon at the Blue Note and encourages him to find Angela before she goes back to Italy with the tape. Nicole calls Brandon on her cell in Victor's office and he answers on his cell. She tells him she's going to get a quickie divorce from Lucas and doesn't want to miss her brother's wedding. After hanging up, he tells Sami about this and said it's good news. He suggests Sami get married. She tells him she hasn't even seen Austin for ages (no kidding) and Brandon proposes to her. She's caught off guard and leaves.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Angela asks a morose Craig about her father's condition, is he dead? They step into Moroni's room and we see him in bed with oxygen up his nose. She mentions Brandon and Craig picks up on that and confirms it's Brandon Walker that Angela's engaged to. He says a few more tests and Moroni should be able to leave. Angela asks her father for the tape, but he refuses to give it back. She tells him to sleep and takes the tape anyway. Angela visits Craig for the test results (man, quick service in that hospital!). Craig said if Moroni follows Dr.'s orders, he should be okay, but has to talk with her father before saying any more. She asks where a bathroom is (uh, in the hall), but he offers the use of his own (hey, try out that hot tub in there while you're at it!). Nope, she just wanted to steal a micro cassette from his answering machine (he was listening to his messages when she walked in). Craig tells Moroni his arteries are partially blocked and recommends an angioplasty. Moroni wants his release papers so he and his daughter can return to Italy to his own doctor. He tells her that she and Brandon can get married in Italy. He goes to sleep when she slips the fake tape into her father's jacket.

TITAN
Victor is at work (as many others are too) and gives Marie instructions. There was an earthquake in Mexico near one of their printing plants and he's going to fly down there to handle any problems. Nicole overhears and goes in to see him. She wants to fly the friendly skies with him to get a quickie divorce from Lucas. She entices him in her own special way. Kate is plotting in her office about slipping a codicil to the will in all the papers Victor has to sign before going to Mexico. She fills him in on Victor/Moroni's negotiation for the tape. She informs her son she's still young and willing to move on in life, but Victor's passed his expiration date. She struts into Victor's office with an armload of papers for him to sign with a cocky attitude, glaring at Nicole. Nicole remembers the codicil and wonders if it's in the batch. She sees Kate snicker as he signs it without seeing what it is. Kate walks out of Victor's office and tells Lucas she did it (with Marie asking she did WHAT?), while Nicole asks Victor if he knows what he just signed (wouldn't something like that need witnesses?) She doesn't tell Victor and he doesn't appear concerned. Kate and Lucas return to her office. Lucas starts to raise a drink to his lips, but Kate stops him as Victor bellows for her to return to his office on the intercom. Nicole tells Lucas to sign the divorce papers and reminds him that Marie is a notary..so to get to it!! He leaves and returns (Marie wasn't there) to find Nicole looking for something on Kate's desk as the credits roll.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2001
NICOLE TRIES TO CONVINCE VICTOR TO TAKE HER ALONG TO MEXICO
Victor refuses. Meanwhile, Kate does her best to convince Lucas to give Sami custody of Will, but he refuses. Later, Nicole faces off with Kate and Lucas. Sami turns down Brandon's proposal, leaving him heartbroken. Angela tells Victor about Moroni, and that she's leaving for Italy soon. Later, Brandon's anger makes Sami reconsider Austin as her ideal man. The European woman tells Greta that the coronation will take place after phase 2 of the test has been completed. John stops by Marlena's hotel suite, but Marlena will not return home because Brady threatened her. After John leaves, Marlena calls Victor for help with Brady. Chloe tells Belle that she doubts she and Philip will last.

AUSTIN & GRETA BEGIN PHASE 2
It is the next morning in (where are they?) France? Austin and Greta have both had a good night's rest. They talk about Sami and Austin tells Greta that he tried to call her but she wasn't at home. They are discussing Phase 2 when Ingrid enters and talks about Greta's coronation. Greta asks Austin to stay and he agrees to. Austin calls Sami (see below) After his call with Sami, he is upset about it. Greta urges him to call back, but he doesn't. Ingrid returns and assures them that Phase 2 will be pleasant but Austin is leery because of all they have gone through already. He promises Greta to stay and protect her. Ingrid informs them that she has more appropriate clothes for them. Later, Austin is seen in a black suit and tie and Greta enters in a red (Jackie Kennedy style) outfit with black fur around the collar and wrists. As they compliment each other, Ingrid returns with a group of small children to meet Greta. Each of them tell her hello in different languages. Greta is thrilled to meet them as Ingrid assures them that they will pass the next phase easily and that they are in for many wonderful surprises in the coming days. Goodbye Angela Sami is on the phone with the airlines checking about flights to Italy. (She thinks Angela has left the country). She has flashbacks of Brandon proposing to her, when he shows up asking why she ran out on him. He asks her again to marry him. She talks about Austin and Brandon lashes out at her.

They wonder about the tape and where Angela is. She shows up and tells them about "poppa" and that she is returning with him to Italy. Sami gets the call from Austin and brushes him off quite rudely, IMO. Austin asks her what she is up to and accuses her of being up to her old tricks again, which prompts her to hang up on him. She and Brandon question Angela about the tape, but she is more concerned about "poppa". She finally whips it out and Sami grabs for it. She puts it away but assures Sami she will get it after she and Brandon are married. Brandon encourages her to go with her father to Italy and he will join her later. She agrees and they say their goodbyes. After she leaves, Sami tells Brandon about Austin's call and how it rattled her. Brandon tells her not to waste her time on Austin and storms out.

THE KIRIAKIS FAMILY
Kate and Lucas are at the mansion and she is on top of the world. Lucas tells her about finding Nicole snooping in her office, but Kate isn't worried. Lucas reminds her that for them to collect on Victor's will, he must be dead. Kate asks (quite coldly) what she should wear to his funeral. Lucas is shocked and asks how she can be so callous. Kate is bitter over how Victor has treated her after all the time she was loyal and stood by him. She says that he just pushed her away after all of her devotion. She says it's time to look out for herself. They talk about Sami, the Lucas gets upset about Will and says that he is his life and that he will not give him up. Kate reminds him that there is evidence that could send them to prison. Lucas gets upset with her and leaves. Kate wonders what Lucas would do if there WAS no Will.

AT TITAN
Victor is on the phone when Nicole struts in. (Note, if you liked her red backless sweater, you'll love the halter top she has on today!) She sits on Victor's desk and begins to flirt. He bluntly tells her to leave. She gets mad and goes to leave. Victor stops her and apologizes for being rude. She suggests that she go along with him to Mexico and he flatly tells her no. He calls the airport to make his arrangements as she leaves. In the hallway, Nicole and Kate (she sure got to work in a hurry) have a run in. Kate calls Nicole a nuisance and an embarrassment to Titan and struts off. Nicole follows her into her office (Lucas is there) and they all get into it. Nicole begins threatening her and Kate tells her to name her price. Nicole belittles her offer and assures her that she doesn't have enough money to keep her quiet. Nicole suspects that Kate is planning on doing Victor in.

THE BLACKS
Chloe shows up at the penthouse to walk to school with Belle. While Belle is getting ready, Brady rolls in and he and Chloe immediately get into a verbal fight. She calls him an obnoxious jerk. Belle hears them and asks what is going on. Chloe calls Brady a "nasty, foul-mouthed, psycho" and storms out the door. Belle defends Brady and as she leaves, tells him to stay out of trouble. Belle catches up with Chloe in the park. Belle assures Chloe she isn't mad at her. They chit-chat and Chloe pulls out her newspaper. The headline is about the body found in the ice. They talk about how freaked out Lexie was and Belle admits that she is still a little upset over it. Belle asks about Chloe and Philip, but Chloe doesn't want to discuss it. Belle knows that they have kissed and Chloe figures out Mimi told her. Belle asks her to give up the feud with Mimi, but Chloe defends her actions. Belle asks when it is going to end. Belle asks about Philip again and Chloe admits that she IS crazy about him, but figures that teenage crushes don't last. Belle points out that they CAN last forever and uses Bo and Hope as an example.

John shows up at the Salem Inn with coffee and croissants for he and Marlena. She apologizes for leaving the reception and John again asks her to come home. She admits that she misses him and lonely without him last night. He wants to work things out so they can be a family again. He tells her the news about Brady regaining feeling in his legs and she is really excited. John also tells her about how Victor even offered to let Brady come stay at his home. Again he asks her to come home. She says not yet, it must be good for Brady too. She can't return while he is so bitter and angry towards her. She fears that he will be even angrier now than before. John wants to know just what Brady said to her to scare her so much. She tells him about the comments in the hallway that day and how she would wish it was her in the wheelchair before it was over. This infuriates John and he seems to be upset that Marlena hadn't told him about this before and storms out of the room. After he leaves, Marlena calls Victor and asks him about his offer. He jumps Marlena and asks why she is trying to poison everyone against Brady. She assures him that she isn't against Brady, it's just a complicated situation. She just wants Victor's help. He tells her he is leaving, but they decide to discuss it when he returns. John returns to the penthouse and Brady begins to slam Marlena and John jumps him (It's about time John defends his wife!) He tells him that he wants him to apologize to Marlena for the threats. Brady accuses him of siding with Marlena. John tells him that he knows there are 2 sides to every story and wants to hear his. Brady begins running Marlena down again and says that she has twisted everything to make him look like a psycho and so she would come out on top. John starts to get really angry with him and as he stands up towering over Brady shouts "Knock it off!" Brady gulps as if he can't believe what he is hearing and the credits roll

LITTLE DIMERA SHAKING IN HER BOOTS
Abe and Lexie are at home as he reads the paper. The headlines are screaming about the body found in the ice. She acts really odd about all of it and Abe is puzzled by her behavior. Lexie rushes off, not telling Abe where she is going (she says to run errands, but we ALL know she is going to see Daddy Dearest!) Meanwhile, Stefano is at the mansion playing with some stupid board game (not sure what it is maybe Stratego?) when Iliana comes in with the paper, but he doesn’t want to be bothered with happenings in Salem and runs her off (so HE doesn’t know about the body). Lexie shows up and wants to see him privately. They go into the study and she is furious with him. She demands to know what happened to Marlo. He is in the dark, so she tells him about the body as she cries hysterically and shows him the paper. She is mad that she followed his advice and that she should have followed her own instincts and went to the cops in the first place. She is terrified that she will end up losing Isaac. Stefano blurts out that Isaac isn’t Marlo's child. He covers to a stunned Lexie by saying that Isaac is HER child. He tells her not to worry, he will take care of everything (famous last words, huh?) After finding out all the details, he promises to help her under one condition, she finally gives in and admits that she is a true DiMera. She promises to make him a part of her and Isaacs lives and hugs and thanks him. (Well, I guess its official the character of Lexie has now been officially destroyed). After she leaves, Stefano yells down to the basement for Rolf, telling him they have a body to steal. After Lexie leaves, Abe goes to visit Brandon.

Before Abe shows up, Brandon is on the phone with Angela, telling her to stay in Italy with her father . He will join her later and they will get married. Abe wants to talk with Brandon, but Brandon is extremely rude to him, calling him a kid killer or something equally mean. They argue over Abe’s relationship with Fay as Abe tries to explain that he was only trying to protect their family. Brandon accuses them of having an affair and goes on about how Abe destroyed their lives and broke his mothers heart. Abe tells him it is a lie and Brandon tries to choke him. Abe gets him by the arm and twists him down to his knees and yells at him to stay off his back. After he storms out, Brandon has flashbacks of his dad beating him, then thanks Abe for giving him the ammunition he needed.

THE TEEN SCENE
Belle and Chloe are at school headed for class as Shawn pumps Philip as to what he gave Chloe for Christmas. He asks if he gave her a ring. (Hey, she only got a poem but it looks as if she is the ONLY one in Salem to get a gift!) Mimi and Jan are discussing their plan as Jason shows up and teases Jan with a stuffed mouse (LOL!) They all head to class as Shawn sits by Belle and Philip by Chloe. Jan, Mimi and Jason watch them from the door. Mimi is scared of Chloe and wants to call off the plan, but Jan is determined. She comments on how Nancy must be a witch as well, as Mimi defends Nancy. She drags Mimi into class as she chants witch, witch, Shawn and Belle both yell for her to shut up. The two young couples are day dreaming, with Belle thinking about she and Shawn skating as Chloe remembers the poem. The teacher calls on Chloe to answer a question, which embarrasses her. Jan giggles and the teacher scolds her (we learn her last name is Spearshmmmm.any relation?) After class, Philip and Chloe talk as Shawn refers to them as Romeo and Juliet to Belle. Jan and Mimi rush off to check on the camera as Mimi is still trying to talk her out of the plan. Shawn asks Belle about Brady, but she seems pod at him and brushes him off. Jason comes by and tells Belle that if Philip ever dumps Chloe, Shawn would surely go after her.

ROMAN OFFERS MARLENA A SHOULDER TO CRY ON
Roman and Marlena are at the Java Café. Roman is offering her his support and reassuring her that all isn’t her fault. But she blames herself for all the troubles and doesn’t feel worthy of anyone’s support. They talk about Brady’s hatred of her and she says that she doesn’t really blame him for the way he feels (excuse me, but he hated you BEFORE he got hurt so you have EVERY right to blame him!) Marlena cant understand how Roman can be so supportive after the way she hurt him years ago. She tells him that she knows that he still has feelings for her. He tells her his feelings are of friendship and he wants her to fight for her life and marriage. He assures her that he just wants to help. She tells him that she needs a friend right now. She considers him a friend and that is all they can be. He accepts that relationship as he holds her hand. Jenn and John Swap Stories Jenn is sitting outside on the bench near the stairs (where they shoot a lot of scenes) and John comes by and offers her hot chocolate. Seeing she is troubled, asks how she is. She starts to talk about her situation with Jack but stops. She turns the question and asks about he and Marlena. He doesn’t want to talk either. He promises if she will...so will he. He tells her some of his problems (especially between Marlena and Brady). Jenn cant understand the problem, but he tells her that there is more, but he cant go into it. She offers encouragement and support. Then she talks and you can tell that she still has feelings for Jack. John wants to know what he did to hurt her, but she says that she cant talk about it right now. She thanks John for being a friend as he encourages her to stay in Salem amongst family and friends. They talk about how excited Alice is to have her and Abby there. John offers to buy her a coffee and she accepts. As they walk, John talks about Romans involvement in his problems and how he thinks he is still in love with Marlena. As they turn the corner, they see Roman and Marlena at Java Café and John gets upset. Jenn tells him that things are not always as they appear, but, he says sometimes they are. He tells Jenn that he told Roman to stay away from his wife. Jenn tries to stop him as he storms over to their table and the credits roll.

Philip admits to Shawn that he told Chloe he was falling in love with her. Meanwhile, Brady is embarrassed and somewhat upset when Belle and Chloe see him fall out of his wheelchair. He tells Chloe to leave, but she stays and argues with him. Belle calls Shawn and tells him about Chloe and Brady, but Philip gets wind of this and suspects that there's something between them. Meanwhile at Salem Place, John orders Roman to stay away from Marlena. Jennifer takes Roman aside, and Marlena returns home. Austin and Greta share a romantic dance. At the Blue Note, Brandon gets a call from Angela, who says she wants to get married immediately.

PGII (Princess Greta)
Walking into the restaurant in France, Princess Greta (and Austin) are welcomed with whispers and applause as everyone recognizes her. She feels bad that he didn't get anything out of their adventure like she did. Greta is too self conscious to eat as everyone is staring at her, but it doesn't stop Austin who's happy to have real, not virtual food. He offers to take her out on the balcony for a breath of fresh air. We learn that he tried calling Billie to see her, but she's away on business. Cue the fireworks and music as Greta watches excitedly. Austin watches her and asks if she recognizes the music. Gee, it's the VonAmberg family anthem she replies. It was playing as they left the castle. She realizes the music and fireworks are in her honor. He asks for a dance and she agrees. He tells her that if he were a prince, he would be looking for a princess just like her.

SALEM
Back in Salem, Sami is doing some power shopping at Salem Place (she hasn't worked since returning from Italy, she must be maxing the plastic!) Brandon, Java Café's favorite customer, sips his mocha remembering his fight with Abe, when he walks into Sami. He tells her about what happened with Abe and how he threw Abe out. She asks if he wants some coffee so they can talk about it (hello, he's drinking coffee already Sami). He suggests she go home and get dressed up and they'll go out and relax and refers to it as a date. Later she meets him at The Blue Note wearing a long low cut sleeveless black dress (how many of these numbers do YOU have in your closet?) hoping he's not going to propose to her again. He tells her no, but figures she must be having doubts about her relationship with Austin. (note, Jenn and Roman are still sipping coffee in the daylight in the next scene) We come back from Paris where Austin and Greta are dancing to find Sami and Brandon dancing. She tells him her future is with Austin and Will and apologizes if that hurts him. His cell phone rings and it's Angela calling from Italy. She tells him she's ready to marry him, right now! (Hard to believe she's even flown home to Italy already) She asks when he (and Sami, her bridesmaid) can be there and he assures her they'll be on the next plane (fire up that plastic again! and don't worry about trying to take time off of work, right?) Sami and Brandon rush out to get ready to fly off to Italy. As John watches Marlena and Roman holding hands at Java Café (hmm, maybe Brandon's not Java Café's best customer), Jenn tries to hold John back. Roman agrees with Marlena that they should keep their distance from each other for a while so that she can mend her relationship with John. As she hugs him in appreciation, John launches in and tells Roman that he thought he told him to stay away from his wife. He has his fist raised and ready to punch Roman when he changes his mind and turns aside. Marlena and Jennifer talk Roman into walking away from it. Marlena and John get into it and the subject turns to Brady. John can only tell her Brady will recover and how much he (John) wants her home with him, Belle and Brady, now and forever. He holds her face as he tells her this. Staying away from Brady isn't going to make this go away. He asks her to trust him and come home with him. She agrees and he hugs her. Jenn and Roman go to Java Café (where else?) for a cup of coffee. She refuses to talk about her problems and suggests Roman give up on Marlena. He admits asking himself that all the time, and suspects she and Jack have the same question going on. He's glad to hear it sounds like she's decided to stay in Salem. He excuses himself to make some calls and she tells him he's a good man. Jenn checks her hair in the window at Salem Place, but reminds herself why bother. The last thing she needs is another man in her life. DotCom Shawn teases Philip about how hung up he is on Chloe. They talk about opera and Philip hates it, but can't tell Chloe that. Shawn teasingly asks if Philip's in love with Chloe and Philip admits he is. Shawn tells him he's out of his mind and that he's finished. Shawn tells him that telling a girl he loves her is the ultimate mistake. He's too young to commit to just one person. Philip reminds Shawn's about his parents and Shawn tells him that even they'll admit they were too young and how Bo went off to the merchant marines. Now they're older. Shawn warns Philip about using words like love will just mess up his life.

BACK AT THE PENTHOUSE
Brady is getting some PT in the penthouse and the therapist asks Brady how his laryngitis is. Brady croaks that it's better. Brady asks the therapist if he'll be able to resume normal activities. The therapist tells him with some hard work, he could be back on his feet in six months. Chloe pushes the emergency stop button in the elevator she's riding in with Belle up to the penthouse. She tells Belle she just wanted to see what would happen. Belle mentions she hopes the war between Chloe, Mimi and Jan is over. Chloe tears into Belle, saying she just doesn't like things out of the ordinary and that her life is just a Brittany Spears music video of fun and hair makeovers. Belle fires back that if Chloe wasn't so sorry for herself she would realize that other people's lives aren't perfect either. On cue we hear Brady wailing in pain (guess that laryngitis is getting better ;-) when Belle tears into the apartment to find out what's going on. Both guys assure her everything's okay. The therapist leaves and Brady vents about Chloe being there and wheels off, only to fall out of his wheelchair. He refuses help back into his chair and manages to get in the chair by himself. Chloe and Brady start fighting (must be an upcoming romance here) about music. Belle gives up on them and goes upstairs to do her homework. She calls Shawn on his cell and finds out that Shawn and Philip are at dotCom. She hopes no more bets are being made and he assures her not. He overhears Chloe and Brady fighting and Belle tells him she gave up trying to mediate. She holds the phone out for him to listen in. Phil's ears pick up as he hears Chloe is fighting with Brady. He gets concerned if Chloe's okay and when Shawn asks Belle that, she tells him no problem. She figures Chloe is good for Brady. Downstairs Chloe and Brady argue about opera singers. The two end up laughing. Shawn asks Belle if they're still duking it out downstairs after talking about their homework and she tells him they're now laughing and it's hard to figure them out. Philip asks Shawn about Chloe and Brady, but Shawn just answers it's hard to figure them out. Philip figures maybe he better (figure them out). John and Marlena return to the penthouse. He kisses her and says it's the best thing that's happened to him all year. They hear Brady (and Chloe) laughing inside and hope that's a good sign. As they walk in, Brady spots Marlena and asks what the hell she's doing there as the credits roll

AT ALICE'S DOUGHNUT FACTORY (LOL)......
Gran is telling Jenn how happy she is to have her there, and how much she missed her. But, she says something seems to be troubling her, and Jenn says she was just reading news in the paper. Jenn goes to the kitchen for a doughnut fix, and Alice spots a circled ad "apartment for rent". Jenn comes back out and Alice starts telling her it is time she and Abby found a place of their own. Jenn begins to protest, but realizes Gran saw the ad and was just making it easy for her. Hope calls, inviting Jenn over to Lexie's, and Jenn agrees to come. She tells Gran she wants to check on Abby at school, since it is her first day, and they have a wonderful heart to heart chat. Alice says Abby is dying to see her own father and what is Jenn going to do about it. Jenn says she cannot do anything, she hoped she & Jack could work it out this time, but "Fool me once, shame on you.....fool me twice, shame on ME". She talks about going to Ireland to make a new start, then Bo came and she returned to Salem, so this is where she will try. They hug.

CIAO, BAMBINOS.....
Brandon and Sami are toasting each other aboard the flight to Italy. They make nice-nice with each other, discuss Angela, Austin and Brandon's anger towards Abe. (We have heard all this dialogue before - nothing new here). Brandon gets mad at reference to Abe, and Sami says "see what I mean", then talks about how her own anger towards Carrie almost destroyed family relationships. (Wonder if Sami said BYE to her beloved Will!) Brandon claims he tries to protect his family, and protect her in the same way. Sami begins to say how much she cares about Brandon, but he tells her to cut out all the mixed signals she send out. Flight attendant announces they will be landing (another super fast overseas flight) and to fasten seat belts. Brandon calls Angela, says they are landing and he will see her soon. She starts to tell him something, but abruptly says she will tell him when he gets there.

OVER AT THE KIRIAKIS MANSION......
Victor is confirming reservations to Mexico on the phone (what happened to his jet?), and Kate comes in. She butters him up with lots of compliments and talks of love. Our eavesdropping vixen, Nicole, wisecracks to herself "Love? Fear of being poor and out in the gutter is more like it". Kate bids Victor a fond farewell and he leaves. She immediately calls Moroni, to find he has checked out. She calls Italy and scolds him for leaving without saying good-bye. She proceeds to flirt like mad, talks about the tape and how she would reward him for it. She tells Moroni she will be out on the next plane. (Amazing how these folks can get last minute overseas flights so easily...but then the planes are always nearly empty....lol) She packs her bags and yells for Henderson to bring them down.

IN ITALY....
Angela joins Moroni as he hangs up on Kate. He starts to leave, saying he is going to listen to the tape. Angela stops him, claiming she is tired of hearing about the tape all the time. Moroni says o.k., he will wait for Kate to listen to it, and see what she will do to get it. Brandon calls Angela, and she is about to tell him that her papa wants to hear the tape, when Moroni walks in, so she tells Brandon she will see him soon and quickly hangs up.

IN VICTOR'S LIMO
awaits ... who else, Nicole. She puts the moves on Victor right away, and they talk a bit. She asks him if he knows what Kate's doing, and then begins kissing him. He wants to know what she meant about Kate, and Nicole promises to tell him all later. Victor talks of Philip, and how he would be affected by an alliance between Victor and Nicole, She assures him that she and Philip have grown close the last few months and it would be no problem. More kissing and Nicole fantasizes about being Mrs. Kiriakis in the limo with Kate as the chauffeur, and Victor berating Kate as he gifts Nicole with diamond necklace. Victor starts to call to reserve a room for Nicole in Mexico, but she has already done so. She pours them brandy, and toasts "to my divorce" and thinks about becoming Mrs. K, and then dumping Victor.

AND AT THE CARVER'S......
Lexie is playing with Isaac, and has flashback to her screaming fit when she first sees the body in the canal. Loud knocking on the door reveals Hope with JT. Hope is dying to talk about her honeymoon, and calls Jenn to join them. But Hope cannot contain herself, and excitedly tells Lexie how romantic it was, and how wonderful Bo has been, especially ever since he accepted JT as his son. (OOPS!) Lexie questions her about this, Hope makes excuses, but Lexie is not buying it. The subject of the body arises, and they discuss various scenarios....accident, murder, etc. Hope tells her that Bo is confident forensics will tell them what they want to know. You can see the panic arising in Lexie, as she abruptly leaves (her own house!!) and asks Hope to take care of Isaac. Outside, she says something absolutely has to be done and takes off. Inside Hope has Isaac on her lap and is playing with him, telling him how lucky his parents are to have him and how perfect he is... FADEOUT

SUMMARY
Marlena apologizes to Brady, but Brady tells Marlena that he knows she's not truly sorry, and that her marriage will not last. Samuels thinks Roman motivation for following Brady so closely has to do with the fact that they boy is Roman's ex-wife's stepson. Roman denies this, but the commissioner says that John will probably file a civil suit. Meanwhile, a worried Lexie tries to convince Roman and Abe to stop searching for the dead woman's body. Bo surprises Hope with a romantic lunch for two in the living room. Rolf disguises himself as a morgue attendant, and Bart is made up to look like a corpse so the two can search for Marlo's body.

THE PENTHOUSE
After John and Marlena return home to Brady's warm reception, Belle runs downstairs and hugs Marlena. John quietly reminds Brady that Belle needs her mother and to give Marlena a chance. Belle and Chloe go upstairs and John suggests that the 3 of them talk. He gives Marlena a kiss and tells her that she's his wife and he loves her, points at Brady and tells him that he's his son and he loves him. Stakes and emotions are high, but there's a lot invested here. The fact is, they're family and need to solve this problem. He asks who wants to talk next and asks Marlena if she'd like to go first. Desire is 99% to achieving a goal and he thinks they're at that point now. Marlena finally talks and explains she doesn't want it to sound like she's making excuses. She figures saying she's sorry would probably be more for her own benefit, not his and maybe the anger inside him would help him get back on his feet. She can understand his anger, but the first step to emotional healing is to know that she wants the best for him and that's what she's always wanted. Brady knows she'd like him out of the house, but (as he looks down at his legs) he can't. She remembers they're reading Charlotte's Web together when he was younger and how it upset him. She refers to the book about spider's silk being stronger than people think and so is their family. She'll do anything it takes to help him. Brady asks anything? and if John will leave them alone for a minute (don't go John!) She suggests they go to counseling together, but he figures they're all her friends and partial already. Marlena asks John to leave them alone and he reluctantly agrees. Alone the two stay civil for a minute or two and get into it. He vents about her telling John what he said at the elevator and reminds her that he loves his sister and notes she didn't thank him for saving Belle's life. She tells him all she wants to do is work things out, but he figures all she wants to do is make nice so she can sleep with his father again. He calmly tells her that her whole life and marriage is a lie. He loves his dad and sister and wants them happy, but what she did, she did to herself. Everyone will eventually know who she really is. She gets up and he tells her to go upstairs and tell his dad how emotionally abusive he was. He thinks to himself that she taught him something, emotional warfare is best. John impatiently waits in their bedroom and picks up the phone. He calls to check on JT (see below). Chloe and Belle go to Belle's room to study, both knowing they can't. They talk about the situation downstairs. Chloe tells Belle she's really smart, so why is she the only person in Salem who doesn't see Brady for what he really is? Belle explains kids at school say the same thing about her (Chloe). She's seen Chloe's good side just like she's seen Brady's. Chloe mentions Brady had mentioned surfing in Malibu, but guesses that's on hold now. Chloe tells Belle she doesn't care to know Brady any more than she already does.

THE MORGUE
Rolf and Bart slip into the morgue by pretending Rolf is wheeling a body (Bart) into it. (Bart's worried they'll accidentally slip him into one of the cold compartments.) Another worker in the morgue gets suspicious after seeing Rolf talk to the body and then Bart's moving around. The attendant is worried the corpse is still alive and almost buried someone alive once and not taking any chances. Bart holds his breath and looks dead, but his foot is warm when the attendant tickles it (Rolf covers Bart's laughing by covering Bart's mouth and laughing himself). The attendant worries that Bart's foot still feels warm. Rolf feels the attendant's forehead and says he feels warm and may have a fever and disses him to get a sweater. They pull out drawers (Bart complains it smells like bad sushi, but hasn't liked fish since their last expedition (at the lake). They find Marlo and Rolf orders Bart to lie on the bottom shelf of the cart and he lies Marlo on top of him so he can wheel out an empty cart (ewww). She must have been very light (and a lot shorter) the way Rolf's holding onto her. After adjusting the cloth cover over the cart, the now sweater clad attendant returns for a signature.

COP SHOP
Lexie arrives to see Abe and Roman tells her that the Commissioner is there with him. Abe and the Commissioner come out from his office and tell her that Abe is back on the job and Commander again. Roman tells them he knew the slate would be wiped clean and the Commissioner tells him the investigation is still ongoing and Roman gets defensive, figuring it's due to John's money and influence. Abe asks to be included in the discussion between Roman and the Commissioner. The Commissioner is chewing out Roman for conducting such an intensive manhunt for Brady and mentions he forgot to put in his report that he's the step son of his ex-wife. The Commissioner gets upset at Roman for not telling him about the situation and he would have been removed from the case had he known. Concerned about a lawsuit, the Commissioner explains to Roman (love Roman's expression while he explains it..a Mike R Spoiler Companion must-see picture tomorrow!) that this young man was portrayed in the media as an armed and dangerous person, yet all he did was step in front of a moving train to save his sister's life. The Commissioner orders a strict NO COMMENT order about this case to anyone, including the media, friends and family and especially John Black's wife, to Roman. He wants a tight ship in the department to avoid any more media attention. Lexie goes into Abe's office as soon as the Commissioner leaves. Roman explains he's on the hot seat now and Abe comments that was more than even she should know. Abe's gotta work late on budget cuts and she suggests they drop the Jane Doe investigation then. She claims no one's looking for the body and if they release it's a murder investigation that Bo & Hope's backyard will be like Bundy Drive and not a pleasant way to remember their honeymoon. Abe comments if they bring in the forensic artist it's an extra $20-30,000 (WOW). Abe and Roman agree to back burner it to save money and also grief to Bo and Hope. Abe may be home for dinner now that he's saved all that money. Lexie freaks while leaving the office, knowing she's become a DiMera.

THE HONEYMOON CONTINUES
Hope returns home with JT and gasps as she opens the door. Bo is in black pj's and has candles lit around the living room (yeah, that happens to me all the time, haha). He explains they are still on their honeymoon (he's still off work and she's shopping and visiting girlfriends?). She shows him her NEW shoes (he replies MORE shoes, LOL). JT fusses, so she rushes up to change him. She comes down in a satin negligee and he tells her it's prettier now than in the store when he bought it. They toast (sparkling cider again?) and kiss as he tells her he did the laundry and emptied the dishwasher, LOL! She sounds like if he cleaned the bathroom she would follow him anywhere, but the phone rings. He can't stand it ringing and they kiss their way to it, haha. It's Shawn. Hope won't stop kissing Bo as he has to move the phone from one ear to the other. Shawn asks if he can stay somewhere a little longer and Bo tells him no problem as he hangs up and carries Hope to the couch. Later Hope runs out back and Bo follows. Everything's perfect for them, but she'd like the mystery of the woman found in their "cozy little backyard" during their backyard solved. Bo just wants to get back to the "business of the day" LOL, and on cue, the phone rings. (John?) He wants to ignore it this time, but she tells him it might be Shawn. Nope, it's John. He tells Bo that he knows Hope took JT to the Dr. today and wants to know how it went. Bo chews into John about how they didn't report back to him on that and John explains he was just giving them the space they requested. Bo tells him JT is okay and hangs up as Hope comes inside. They talk about John's being so concerned about JT. Bo explains he's trying to make up for lost time even though JT isn't really his son. She tells him to never say that again and he agrees and hugs her. After hanging up, John knows he's responsible for a good part of what for Brady is going through downstairs, but will be there for his other son! As the credits roll

IN ITALY
Kate tells Moroni that she can take back his territory from Victor if Moroni gives her the tape. Later, Sami is shocked to see Kate and Moroni kissing. Greta banishes Charles from the castle. Later, Greta is surprised to Victor and Moroni on the guest list for her coronation, and Austin wants to take Sami as his guest for the ceremony. Philip finds Chloe and Brady arguing. Eventually, Chloe runs off and Philip goes after her. Meanwhile, Belle becomes angry with Brady for belittling her friend. Marlena tells John that she cannot live under the same roof as Brady, and is prepared to take a leave from the hospital and spend some time alone.

PLANNING THE CORONATION
Austin and Greta have returned to the castle and are joined by Charles. Needless to say, they aren't too happy to see him. Ingrid informs Greta that it is up to her to decide Charles' fate. He pleads his case and promises to be a humble, faithful, obedient servant to her. But Greta has no faith in him. She promises him his pension, but from this day forward, he is banished from the castle and Ingrid leads him away. Austin tells Greta that he is proud of her and how she has taken charge of her life. Greta asks him about Sami and he admits that maybe he was hard on her earlier on the phone. Ingrid returns to confirm plans for the coronation celebration. She gives Greta a list of invitees. It includes basically anyone/everyone who is either rich, famous or royalty. Looking over the list, she sees Victor Kiriakis' name. After looking some more, she also sees the name of Vincent Moroni. Austin recognizes the name as the guy that Franco worked for. Austin asks Greta if it would be okay for him to invite Sami. Greta stumbles around that question, until Austin realizes that Greta wants him to be her escort. He obliges and says that Sami probably wouldn't want to come anyway.

THE QUEST FOR THE TAPE
Sami and Brandon arrive at the Moroni's to find Angela planning the wedding. Angela slobbers all over Brandon as Sami watches on with green tinted eyes. Sami asks her about the tape and Angela promises them that she does have it. Angela prattles on and on about the wedding. Looking for an out, Sami offers to get the door when the doorbell rings. She flings open the door to find Kate standing there. Kate storms past Sami as Vincent welcomes her to his home. Brandon demands that Angela tell him what is going on and she promises to tell him later. Angela suggests that she, Brandon and Sami leave and to some restaurant. While there, she tells them that Kate is there to try and get the tape. Sami asks how she even knows about the tape. Angela fills them in about the switch and Sami is afraid that they will listen to it and realize that they have been duped. Angela tells Sami to leave so she can have time alone with her Brandon. Sami demands the tape or else. She storms out of the restaurant wondering how Kate plans to get the tape from Moroni. Angela promises Brandon that if Sami keeps pushing her, she will destroy the tape herself. Brandon makes her promise to keep her word to Sami. Meanwhile, Kate and Vincent talk about the tape and Vincent wants to know what he gets in return. Kate turns on the flirt machine and promises him that he will also get that territory that he wants so badly. He points out that she is not in control of Victor's estate, so she whips out the codicil and shows it to him. He realizes that this document is only in effect if Victor is dead. So she subtly asks him for his help to remedy the situation. They discuss what would happen if Victor met with an "accident". Vincent declares that Kate is the kind of woman to kill for. As they kiss, the camera pans back to show Sami watching through the window, smiling like the Cheshire cat.

THE BRADY FACTOR
Philip is in the car on his way to the penthouse, upset and curious as to why Chloe and Brady have been fighting. We are treated to the scene in the penthouse living room, where Marlena gets upset and rushes up the stairs. Meanwhile, Chloe and Belle are in Belles room. Belle chatters on about such senseless stuff as cheerleading and Chloe could care less. (Quite frankly, so do I). Chloe is more interested in hanging near the door trying to eavesdrop as to what is going on downstairs with Marlena and Brady. She comments that it is really quiet down there. They talk about the relationship between Brady and Marlena and Chloe wants to go and snoop as they go downstairs. (Actually, they should have heard/seen John and Marlena in the upstairs hallway). No one is downstairs and they start talking about the opera Carmen. Belle asks Chloe to sing a few bars and when she does, Brady wheels in and starts criticizing her again. They start to argue, just as Philip arrives. Chloe gets insulted and storms off with Philip right on her heels. As he leaves, Brady rags him. After they are gone, Belle lights in to Brady about being so cruel to her friends. As they argue, she defends Chloe and Philip. Finally, she apologizes for being so rough and he shows her his progress by standing. She asks how it went with her mom and he tells her that Marlena doesn’t trust him. They talk about Chloe again and Belle accuses him of being interested in her. He claims that he detests her and has NO interest in her. He tells Belle to just keep her away. In the car, Chloe thanks Philip for driving her home, but he is upset. He demands to know why she was even there. She declares that she hates Brady and he demands to now what is going on. Finally he pulls over and apologizes and admits that he is jealous. Chloe is touched and thinks it is so sweet that he cares that much as they kiss.

MORE OF THE BRADY FACTOR
After Brady crawls all over Marlena, she stares at him blankly and then heads upstairs. John meets her in the hallway as she tells him that Brady is sadistic and only wants her to suffer. Downstairs, Brady says that he has her right where he wants her and is pleased with himself. Marlena tells John that she cant stay there and they argue (again) over Brady. John (of course) jumps to Brady’s defense, saying that if Marlena disowns Brady, then she is in fact, disowning him as well. She walks off and John follows her to the bedroom as he turns it all around and blames Marlena. (If I haven’t said it lately what an ass!) He demands to know exactly what Brady said, but Marlena refuses to play Brady’s game. She says that John wouldn’t believe her anyway and would end up blaming her. She tells him that she doesn’t feel safe there. John (jokingly) asks if Brady threatened to kill her. She says that Brady sees her as his nemesis and an obstacle in his way. John tells her to take control, but she says that she cant, because she isn’t even sure who she is anymore. She has tried to diagnose herself, but cant even help herself. John hugs her and reassures her that she is strong and asks why she lets things get to her. She admits that she is in some kind of depression and it has taken over her life. He tells her that he can help, but she must stay there with him. He promises her that her family can help her overcome this crisis. As he hugs her, the tears flow freely from Marlena and the credits roll.

STILL PLANNING THE CORONATION
Greta and Austin are looking over the list of invitees to the coronation. Greta notices that it reads like who's who of Salem. She notices the names of Alice Horton, John and Marlena Black, Bo and Hope Brady, Stefano DiMera, Abe and Alexandra Carver. She sees only one name missing Lilly Faversham. Ingrid assures her it was an oversight. She asks Ingrid how they got these names and she informs her that they researched her life. Austin inquires about Stefano being on the list, and Greta explains that he was a friend of her mothers. Greta tells Ingrid that she wants to take a portion of her inheritance to help repay the people that her mother hurt. Ingrid tells Austin that he survived their adventure because of Greta and inquires if he thinks it would have been the same outcome if it had been Sami Brady. Austin defends Sami and he is asked if he loves her. (hmmm I don't remember him answering that question). Ingrid tells him that because of his part, he too will be rewarded. Ingrid tells Greta that she wants her to spend several days with some of the orphans they are helping in Naples, Italy. Greta is thrilled over this and Austin decides he wants to accompany her and Greta is thrilled and hugs him. Ingrid informs them that her private jet will be getting ready. As she leaves, Ingrid stops and thinks to herself, that while there, Austin will be very close to the woman he THINKS he loves.

THE BRADY FACTOR CONTINUES
Belle shows up at the penthouse with Chloe in tow. (Gees, I thought Chloe just left why would she come back?) Brady is not thrilled to see her, but Belle wants them to get along. First she wants them to shake hands and both refuse. Brady calls Belle a Pollyanna and Chloe says he is NOT going to touch her. Belle is finally able to get them to shake hands and she is thrilled as Brady and Chloe stare at each other. Chloe wants to go upstairs, or anywhere for that matter, to get away from him. But Belle wants them to spend some time together. Brady cracks morbid jokes (like "when I was born, I was so ugly, my mother took one look at me and died". He goes on to bash Marlena (as usual). Chloe is shocked that Belle lets him say such hateful things about her mother. But Belle says that's just Brady. Chloe goes on to tell her story about how she was bounced around to different foster homes and how rough she had it. She says the only gift she has is her voice (as Brady berates her over that). Belle points out how both of them are so weird therefore is sure they could get along. Belle goes on to talk about how both of them have parental problems. Chloe thinks that Brady's problem with Marlena is that Marlena was jealous of Brady's real mother, Isabella. Belle protests, but Chloe is sure that the root of this whole mess is that jealousy. Belle can't believe what she is hearing, but Brady seems to like it. Belle just wants Brady and Chloe to get along. Marlena comes in and is welcomed by Belle with a hug. She tells her about playing therapist, trying to get Brady and Chloe go get along (as Brady only stares at her). Marlena tells them that she has a headache and is going upstairs to lie down.

dotCOM
Earlier, Marlena had been at dotCom having a coffee. She runs into Roman and they talk about Brady's recovery. She tells Roman that Brady is determined to destroy her. She tells him that all Brady wants to do is tear her down and how he planned it all, starting with Belle's coma. She points out how he came out the here and she the bad guy. Roman can't believe what he is hearing and asks if Brady planned to get shot. She says that Brady did NOT have a rough life she did her best to make him fit into the family (and from what I remember when he was little, sometimes she showed him as much/if not more love and attention as Belle. but then, history means NOTHING to this show!) She tells Roman that Brady had a happy childhood, but then he IS good at putting on an act. Hattie wanders in to dotCom and sees them and is furious. She thinks that "phony baloney" is trying to steal HER Roman and wonders what Dr. Marlena is up to. Roman talks about all the troubles they had with Sami. But Marlena tells him not to compare Sami and Brady. Even though she had her problems, Sami has a good heart. She says that Brady's problems are not typical he is evil. Roman mentions John and Marlena changes the subject. He asks if John is making the situation worse. Roman gets a call and has to leave and Marlena assures him that she will be fine. Before he leaves, he gives her a kiss on the forehead (which infuriates Hattie and she decides to give her a wake up call). But she changes her mind and slips out the door.) Outside, Rolf nearly scares her to death and demands to know what she is doing so near Marlena. Hattie realizes that it is a mistake and can't believe what she almost did. He tells her that someone needs to see her and they head toward the DiMansion.

MARLO'S HOMECOMING
Rolf and Bart give Stefano all the details about their adventure and he is amused. Stefano assures them that Marlo will never be a problem again and can't wait to tell Lexie the news. He congratulates them on a job well done. Bart informs them that when he dies, he wants to be dressed snazzy and for them to hire a Dixieland band. He dances out of the room, getting a chance to sing a bit of "When the Saints Go Marchin' In". Stefano celebrates with a cigar and rejoices about how Lexie is becoming a true DiMera. Stefano wonders where John is and why he hasn't heard from him. Rolf suggests that maybe John has told Hope the truth about the baby, but Stefano hopes not. But, he realizes if that is the case, then surely Marlena knows as well. He is sure that would be enough to drive her over the edge. He wants to see Hattie as soon as possible (wanting to speed up their plan) so Rolf takes off to find her. Abe goes home with news for Lexie about the body. He tells her that the commissioner loved her idea and they will not concentrate on the body. He notices that Lexie is upset and thinks that she is afraid that someone will try and take Isaac. He offers to track down Marlo, but she is adamant about that NOT happening. He tries to assure her that Marlo won't try to take the baby back. Besides, he tells her, if Marlo shows up, Stefano will handle her. This upsets Lexie even more. Abe is ready for a little "afternoon delight" but Lexie tells him that she has errands to run, so he agrees to stay with Isaac until she returns. As she rushes out, she asks herself ‘what is happening to me?' Lexie shows up at Daddy Dearest's, furious with him over what she has done. He makes light of it and tries to assure her that she is only acting as a mother protecting her child. She tells him that she is now an accessory to murder. She says that she has become a true DiMera should be proud of her. She breaks down and tells him how she manipulated Roman and Abe and the whole department. He tells her not to worry, for there is no body to identify now. He lifts the sheet and shoes her Marlo's body, telling her that Marlo has come home. Cue blood curdling scream from Lexie.

(Excuse me, but I don't think I would want a decayed body lying around in MY living room. Could you imagine the stench???) Now Lexie is even more upset at him. She talks about how suspicious it is that the body is missing and how they will look even harder to solve the case. He assures her that no one will ever know it was Marlo, but Lexie is sure that something BAD is going to happen. Later, Rolf arrives with Hattie and she is impressed with the mansion. As Rolf looks into the den and sees Lexie with Stefano, Hattie is snooping around. She sees the gurney and lifts the sheet (oh, great now the dead body is in the foyer MUCH better than the living room? Now, THAT'S a nice greeting for your guests!) Rolf grabs her before she screams and drags her outside where she faints.

Roman arrives at Abe’s and informs him that the body has disappeared. Roman tells him what little they do know about the theft. They wonder who would steal a dead body and just WHO the woman was. Just as Lexie predicted, the department is now more determined to find out who she was. Abe wonders how they will find out who she was, if they have no body. Roman tells him he isn't so sure they will need the body to find out and the credits roll.

DIMANSION
Lexie is still shaken, having seen Marlo's corpse. Stefano assures her that everything will be all right. He then tells her she is a true DiMera. This horrifies Lexie. Stefano says he is going to get rid of Marlo's body permanently by dissolving her remains in acid. The DiMera's Lexie continues to rant to her father. She tells him he blew it (LOL). He figures if they don't have a body to investigate, there shouldn't be a problem. He tells her he had to act quickly and take the body and has handled situations infinitely more challenging than this. She mentions trying to convince Abe to drop the investigation and he proudly claims she's a DiMera, through and through. She cries at the thought, but he tells her she'd do anything for her baby. He suggests she leave Abe and realizes the time is not right to do that and changes the subject, suggesting they use sulfuric acid to dispose of the body permanently. She won't let the mother of her child be treated like a lab experiment. She tells Stefano he took Marlo's life and future away from her. (didn't Marlo trip on the stairs while drunk and break her neck?) Thanks for reminder emails..Marlo did fall down stairs, but Rolf broke her neck in front of Stefano at the bottom of the stairs (but Stefano didn't tell him to do it and was as shocked as we were when he did it). Outside Rolf helps up an unconscious Hattie. She comes to and tells him about her dream in a mansion and remembers what really happened and starts screaming. He covers her mouth and she finally nips him to let her go and she demands an explanation. He tells her the body was only a stage prop. She doesn't buy it, but he tells her it was a Halloween decoration. She knows Halloween was months ago (yeah, her birthday!) and doesn't buy it. Inside Stefano finally tells a distraught Lexie to just go home and enjoy her baby and he'll take care of things there. He walks her out the door as she's now sobbing and Rolf scurries Hattie into the bushes when they see Lexie's walking out. Lexie is still sobbing when she gets home (she's going to be dehydrated) and prays to God that nothing happens to her family. Rolf and Hattie go into Stefano's and Rolf wheels the "Halloween decoration" into another room (I agree Laney, it MUST stink). Stefano talks to Hattie like she's Marlena, which lifts her spirits (and takes her mind off Marlo).

WHAT'S UP DOC?
Marlena's packing up her office when John comes to visit. She informs him she's giving up her practice. He begs her to talk with him and she said she'll try to without crying. He pleads for her to tell him why she's hurting. She mentions how her husband slept with a good friend of hers and they had a baby. Now they can't even talk about it with her friend's husband. John tells her to go on and Marlena is surprised he doesn't try to give excuses about that and just listens. He will admit the baby is a painful reminder to what happened, but his and Marlena's love will help them put this behind them. She chokes up and says the pain in her heart is still there and the sense of loss is still there. She tells him she can't counsel patients after she herself had her stepson shot due to her paranoia and depression. John tells her that their love will get them through this. He won't even allow himself to think otherwise. He won't let her quit her practice. He negotiates and suggests she consider herself on probation for 3 months and then they'll see how she's doing. He spits in his hand and hands it out to her to shake saying DEAL. She smiles and shakes it. He asks her to dinner, saying he'll buy, and she agrees.

BRADY
Carl commends Brady on his progress in physical therapy and encourages Brady to try crutches now. Brady struggles up out of the chair. Brady manages to get a few steps on the crutches and John and Marlena walk by the door and see him on the crutches. They both whisper encouragement and both smile at his progress when Brady turns around and sees them there. He asks what the hell she's doing there (his only line of greeting apparently). Both of their smiles drop and Marlena quietly tells Brady she's sorry honey while John holds her shoulders firmly. Brady tells her to GO while John stares at his son for that remark. Marlena and John step away and Carl asks why Brady talked to Dr. Evans like that. He tells Carl that she's responsible for what happened to him and to himself, promises to make sure the whole staff know who she really is! Brady overhears John (holding Marlena in his arms) remind Marlena she gave him three months. Marlena smiles at that, but Brady is determined to not let that happen.

HALF TIME AT THE B-BALL GAME
Half time at a basketball game and we find a frustrated Belle as the doctor won't let her go back to cheerleading yet. Chloe's happy to have her company in the bleachers and kids her about Shawn being her boyfriend. Philip (#12) looks for Chloe (do the players get to roam at half time?) in the hall while Jan (another cheerleader) tells Mimi their plan is about to begin. Belle asks Philip if he's suppose to be in the locker room. He asks Chloe to go to dotCom after the game and gives her his letter jacket to wear. She tells him she has a coat in her locker (duh) and Belle tells Philip that Chloe would love to wear it and clues Chloe in with her eyes as Philip puts his jacket on her. Jan fumes she won't have it on long and other girls are green with envy, saying Philip's a hotty. Shawn (#23) comes up and tells Philip they need to get in the locker room to talk strategy for the second half. Philip is goo goo over Chloe and tells her he's playing so well because she's there to watch him. On the side, Shawn kids if he had someone cheering for him, he'd play better too and Belle uses a southern accent and teases she will. After the guys leave, Belle has to clue Chloe in on what an honor it is to have Philip's jacket. Chloe asks Belle if she'd like Shawn's jacket. Other guys flirt with Mimi and Jan, but Jan shoos them off, calling them chess club geeks. Jason overhears a plan is underway and wants to know what it is, but Jan tells him until he has wheels, she'll "AB-C him". Jan talks down to Mimi (who's wearing a fur hat, must be hot inside) and tells her if she wants Shawn, she'll have to play dirty too. Shawn finally drags Philip (literally) to the locker room. They bump into Jan and Mimi as Philip is staring at Chloe (after giving her a kiss on the cheek when he leaves) Shawn tells Mimi he wants to talk with her alone and Mimi's face starts to beam at the thought. Shawn pulls Mimi away and is concerned about how close to Jan she's been. She reminds him that her other best friend has been tied up and glares at Belle and Chloe. Jan comes up and tries to take Mimi away for their "project", which Shawn asks about (hello, how long IS half time? Get in the locker room!) Jan warns Mimi not to tell Shawn what's up when he talks to her later. Jan fills Mimi in on their plan for last period PE and they need some good skin shots. Jan has a remote for select shots. Mimi tries to talk Jan out of it, but Jan is relentless. She figures it might work to their advantage. Belle and Chloe bought some hot dogs and Belle kids she needs to get Philip's good luck charm back to her seat. Jan and Mimi bump into them and Chloe greets Mimi with a YOU. They exchange words and after threatening Chloe, Jan and Mimi strut away. Chloe promises Belle that if they try anything else with her, she'll give them double what she did before as the credits roll.

AT THE HOSPITAL P.T. DEPT.
Carl & Brady are finishing up their session, and Carl warns Brady that his legs are weak and not to try and overdo. He takes Brady over to Larry Morris to set up his next appointment. Larry and Brady chat, with Larry showing Brady how he, too, is in a wheelchair, though permanently, and tells Brady how the same man put them both in the chairs. Brady asks Larry about working w/Sami & Larry says she had better get back to work soon (LOLOL how long has she been gone..4 or 5 months?). Brady pumps Larry about meeting Abe Carver, knowing Lexie, and then leaves. Larry answers the phone to find Austin at the other end, looking for Sami. Larry says she is gone again, and gives Austin Sami's new cell phone number.

AT dotCOM
The teens have arrived after the game, with Chloe and Belle in one booth and Jan & Mimi in the next one. The guys finally come in, and are chatting among themselves. Belle and Mimi talk about friendship (they are back to back in the booths) and also discuss Chloe & Jan. Belle tries to warn Mimi about Jan. Chloe & Philip are chattering about basketball, singing, and rooting for each other in their respective interests, but Chloe seems a bit distracted by something outside the door. Shawn & Belle tell Mimi not to rag on Chloe, and Belle speaks of her own home life.

The guys are going outside for a snowball fight. As Shawn comes out the door, there is Brady, who tries to give Shawn some big hints about Belle. Shawn stays clueless and goes back inside. (Too sad they are making him so unaware Shawn is too smart for this) Outside Brady is determined to stand up on his crutches and go inside to surprise Belle. As he tries, he falls, Chloe sees him and comes out to help him up. They do more verbal sparring, and she returns inside. Philip is glad to see her and the teens are chattering in a group, when there is knocking at the door. Brady stands outside on his crutches, and Belle goes to open the door with tears in her eyes. She tells him how proud of him she is, and they embrace, with tears also in Brady’s eyes.

OWN MEXICO WAY
Nicole appears in Victors doorway with her slip dress and huge Mexican hat. He comments about their separate rooms, but she assures him hers is down the hall, but she bribed the desk clerk to let her in. She comes on to Victor, who will have none of it. He reminds her that for Philips sake, he is remaining loyal to Kate (Oh, yeah, and what was that limo mambo all about?) as Kate had stayed so loyal to him for so long. Nikki gets really ticked at this, but just goes away and returns with a paper she hands Victor. He is impressed with this research paper on Industrial Pollution caused by earthquakes, and goes to send it to someone. Nicole assures him she is intelligent enough to think of these things, and of course is very pleased with herself. Her plan goes forth. Later, Victor walks into the room to find a dinner table with candles set up, and Nicole purring like a kitten.

THE ITALIAN CONNECTION THATS AMORE'
In Naples, Kate is kissing Moroni, and really is leading him on. He is ready to take it all upstairs to the bedroom, but Kate wants the tape..and Victor dead. They make an agreement about the tape, and about business affairs after Kate is in charge! Moroni intends to have his lawyers draw up a contract. Angela rushes him, pleading with her papa to NOT give Kate the tape. Kate leaves them alone, and the two argue. Angela tells him that she does not care if he gives Kate the tape..but not until after she is married. He finally agrees. Greta and Austin are greeting orphans. Different scenes of the children at dinner, Greta reading them stories, and getting them nestled all snug in their beds. Austin leaves to try and call Sami, and finally reaches her.(see below) Ingrid overhears some of the conversation and comments to herself that because of the purity of Austin’s heart, (gag me here) Sami must be removed from his life. She goes inside to join Greta and Austin, and she brings up Sami. Austin explains her whereabouts and when Ingrid comments how Sami always tells lies, Austin tells her it is none of her business. Greta returns from seeing to the sleeping children, and Ingrid tells them arrangements have been made for them to dine at this absolutely marvelous restaurant. Angela and Brandon are sitting at a restaurant table, having a drink, when Sami rushes in to tell them of Kate and Moroni kissing. Angela laughs, cause her father just loves women, but Sami knows Kate is after the tape. All three argue about it, but Angela finally leaves to talk to her papa. As Sami and Brandon chat, her cell phone rings and it is Austin. She is surprised, and puts on a real happy face, though Brandon is none too thrilled. She apologizes for how she treated him during his last call, and when he wants to know where she is, she says, In Colorado, visiting Eric. Austin swallows that hook, line, and sinker (poor fish). He tells her he is in Naples, and she is surprised at that. After she hangs up, Brandon asks if that does not worry her. She replies that Naples is a big city, and the chances of running into Austin are next to zero. (Uh oh) She and Brandon decide to try and find Angela, but instead go to have dinner at this absolutely marvelous restaurant. As they enter the doors. Fade out. And the credits roll.

BO & HOPE GET GOOD NEWS
Bo and Hope take JT to the doctors. Hope is happy that Bo came so they can go as a family. The doctor is so pleased with JT's progress that he's starting to feel that maybe JT's problem isn't due to FAS, but maybe due to a congenital heart problem or something else. He tells Bo that Hope's persistence, love and attention, they might be looking at something completely different. The doctor says to come back in two weeks and Bo wants to celebrate with them.

Guess where? You got it, Salem Place (to show off the cute little guy). Two woman rush up and gush over JT as Bo acts like a proud papa. Hope tells him she loves him and is so happy. Bo buys a newspaper and reads some of the story about Marlo. The new morning edition arrives and they read about the body's disappearance. Not letting it ruin their good mood over JT's prognosis, they wheel off to get a cappuccino.

HOME WITH THE BLACKS
Philip borrowed dad's car (hey, the folks are out of the country and wouldn't mind being it's cold outside) to drive to school. He picked up Shawn and is probably heading for the penthouse now. (they sure are driving far for walking it normally). The guys raz each other about the girls and Philip point blank tells Shawn that Belle has a thing for him. Shawn denies it and asks Philip to drop him off at school, only to find out he's going to Belle's with Philip. Marlena's feeling like a caged animal upstairs in her bedroom, afraid to go down for breakfast and having to face more of Brady's wrath. John, the optimist, thinks every day will be better and tries to give her encouragement (apparently he hasn't had his coffee yet and isn't thinking straight ;-). Downstairs Brady reads the headlines about the problems Salem PD will be facing because of his shooting. (must be a pretty dull town if they're always in the headlines!) Chloe arrives to pick up Belle, also dreading facing Brady's wrath again. He yells the door is unlocked when she knocks, but Belle leans over the railing telling him to open it as it's probably Chloe. The usual banter between them as he opens the door. He pretends to collapse on the floor and she anxiously rushes to help him, only to have him laugh at her and get up again. He laughs madly as she goes upstairs with Belle. Chloe tells Belle she's never coming there again as she never wants to see Belle's brother again. Belle tells Chloe that it would only let Brady "win" as it's a game to him. Chloe realizes this is true and will not let him win. Marlena hears Brady's "laugh" from downstairs and wonders what he's up to. John replies he's "laughing", but Marlena feels she's too emotional involved to deal with this. He suggests she step back and see Brady for what he is, a kid who lost his mother when he was a baby and lashing out at the world. She doesn't know how to deal with the trauma he's dealing with. John suggests she not step on eggshells around him then and knows she can handle it. He asks if she's with him, and she says she is as he tells her he loves her and goes to make coffee. She tells herself she loves him too and that he's right, feeling encouraged they can make it work. John gallops down the stairs wishing the girls a good day at school as they're leaving. He offers to book a massage for Brady as he's sore (I'll take one John!), but Brady refuses. They talk about the newspaper headlines and about the little boys that witnessed the shooting. Brady vents that he was just having fun at Tuscany when Roman went ballistic. Abe might have actually shot him, but he knows it was Roman who was behind it all and Marlena whispering GO GET HIM in Roman's ear. Belle and Chloe wait for the elevator and talk about Brady and Marlena's relationship. Belle's confident all will work out okay. Chloe says she lives in fear of her mother embarrassing her and how she gave her away. Philip comes off the elevator to take them to school being it's cold. They give him flack about he should have gave them notice he was coming (let them walk Philip!). Philip suggests they double with Belle and Shawn, but Belle reminds him how Shawn didn't even walk her home the last time they did that. The elevator door opens and Shawn is standing there. Upstairs Marlena calls Roman and thanks him for all his help and support through this ordeal and takes responsibility for her part in it. Roman offers to do anything for her, just like when they were married and she needed a quart of milk. All she has to do is call. After hanging up he smiles, obviously still hung up on her. Brady tells his father that it's blatantly obvious that Roman is still hung up on his (John's) wife. John asks if he picked up on that too and Brady wants to collaborate with John on getting back at Roman. John asks Brady what he's getting at and Brady suggests they take Roman into court and sue him for everything he's worth (not much apparently, he doesn't even have the house anymore it seems). Marlena overhears this whole conversation from the top of the stairs and tells them they'll do no such thing. She asks if this is the person she's suppose to kiss and make up with? She states he's not grateful he's almost walking again and trying to go after Roman. He's playing on John's insecurity in their marriage to attack her. Brady wheels off saying he only wants justice and Marlena must still be personally involved with Roman and he won't be attacked like that. John thought they had a deal about this (yeah, I thought Marlena was doing what he told her to do, fight back). She did too and won't pay the price of Brady's vengeance. They argue about Roman and Marlena leaves. Brady wheels out and tells John he knew Marlena was still in love with Roman. By the elevator, Marlena knows this will keep happening and considers going back in, but decides she needs Roman's help instead. Brady tells John that he figures Marlena ran straight to Roman to warn him about what she heard.

COP SHOP
Lexie is driving and worrying about Isaac and why Abe hasn't mentioned to her that Marlo (Jane Doe's) body is missing in the hospital morgue. Roman is dialing Marlena's number when Abe walks in. He hangs up and they talk a while and the phone rings, it's Marlena (didn't these two agree to stay away from each other for a while until things calmed down?) He asks Abe for some privacy (hello, it's ABE'S office now Roman) and Abe tells him to tread carefully. He's willing to run right over if Marlena needs him, but she informs him she and John are working things out (he's not happy to hear that news). Lexie shows up to see Abe and he tells her about the body disappearing. She sees the facial photos (yuck) and freaks saying procedure doesn't call for photos until days later. The officer takes the photos and makes sure Abe still wants to proceed with the reconstruction drawings. Lexie panics when he agrees. He feels obligated to find out what happened. Marlena rushes in as Lexie's leaving. She tells Roman they have trouble. After talking with Marlena, Roman tells Abe that little SOB is planning on suing them. Driving again, Lexie realizes what everyone told her about Stefano is right, but she has to go to for help now as the credits roll.

SAVED BY THE BELLE
Belle, Shawn, Philip and Chloe all arrive at school as Mimi and Jan watch from a distance. Someone puts a sign on Chloe's back that reads "Last Blast - First Freak" as they head to history class. Mimi sees it and wants to remove it, but puts her hand to her scarf-covered head and walks on by. After they are in class, Philip sees it and blows up, demanding to know who did it. The teacher takes over and starts class. Belle turns to Mimi and asks why she didn't remove it. The teacher sees Belle talking and calls on her to answer a question. She does and then calls on Jan for her thoughts. Jan's too busy sleeping and smarts off at the teacher, who in turn tosses her from the class. Chloe answers the question to perfection. When asked by the teacher what he thinks, he replies that Chloe is perfect. There are giggles and eye-rolling all around. As the class talks politics, Chloe rapid-fire answers the questions. Finally, the bell rings as all head out. Some of the kids talk about how sick of her they are. In the hall, Belle catches up with Chloe and they talk about extra curricular activities. Chloe informs Belle that she is more interested in learning than basketball and cheerleading (even though she has a flashback from the game where Philip gave her his jacket). From across the hall, Jan is telling Mimi all about her plan, but Mimi doesn't really want to hear about it and tells Jan to leave her out of it. Belle rushes off, upset with Chloe and Shawn follows her. She says that sometimes Chloe makes her mad and points out that they really don't even know her, saying that sometimes she can be cruel. Shawn takes up for Chloe. Belle sees Mimi and Jan and is sure that they are up to something. Mimi and Jan watch Shawn and Belle as Jan encourages Mimi to go after Shawn. Mimi tells her that he has a thing for Belle, so Jan encourages her to give him something that Belle never would. Mimi gets the drift and is shocked at what she is hearing. Jan asks her why she thinks Jason follows her around like a puppy dog, as she insinuates that she puts out for him. Mimi doesn't want to hear about that, insisting she is waiting until she is in love. Jan tells her to grow up. Mimi doesn't want to talk about her sex life as Jan reminds her that she doesn't have one. Jan wants to get back to their plan, informing Mimi that she has tested the camera. Mimi tells her it won't work, because Chloe has gym last period and leaves right afterward, never showering or changing. Jan says she can fix that.

THINGS GET INTERESTING IN ITALY
The orphan children play as Austin and Greta watch them. Ingrid comes in and Greta talks about what a good time she is having and hates to leave. They talk about adoptions and stories Greta read as a child about how cold and unfeeling orphanages are. She wonders what hers will be like. Ingrid assures her that the children will be well cared for and loved. Greta talks about people who reached out to her (like Alice Horton) and helped her along the way, making a difference in her life. Ingrid assures her that these children's lives will change as well after the coronation. She tells them that they will be leaving for Paris soon, Greta should rest while she can the whirlwind is about to begin. Kate is spending her time fending off Vincent. He wants to play, but she is only talking business right now. She does, however take the time to flirt heavily with him and they kiss as she tells hi business before pleasure. He talks about the hit and what he will get in return. He pulls out some papers and she willingly signs them (without reading them, I might add sure that will come back to haunt her). She asks him if anything could go wrong (nahya think?) He tells her his motto is "shoot through the heart". (Well that's nice sure don’t see that crocheted on pillow too often do you?) A messenger arrives with his invitation to the coronation and tells Kate that she and Victor have probably been invited as well. She calls home and talks to Henderson, who does indeed tell her about the invitation. She is thrilled and tells Vincent that they can handle their "business" in Paris. Her cell phone rings as she and Moroni kiss, it's Victor, demanding to know where the HELL she is!

MEANWHILE, IN MEXICO,
Nicole arrives at Victor's room ready to celebrate (she has her divorce in hand). She starts kissing on him, but he pulls back. She starts slamming Kate, but he defends her. He mentions Fay and Nicole says that she will never be like her mother. She says that she doesn't want kids and would be a terrible mother, having no maternal instincts. (uh-oh is this a foreshadowing??) Victor tells Nicole that there are 3 kinds of love and that he and Kate are companions. (Nicole informs him that DOGS are COMPANIONS). He tells her that he misses Kate and his family and ready to go home. He calls and Henderson informs him about the invitation and also that Kate has left the country. Victor calls Kate, wanting to know where she is. She tells him the truth as to WHERE she is but not WHY. She tells him that she is there to get the tape from Vincent. She had to take matters into her own hands (well, technically not yet, hehe) because HE left the country. He warns her to be careful around Moroni and asks how she is taking care of it (as she has flashback of showing Vincent the codicil). She tells him not to worry and assures him that she is not deceiving him (Victor). He cuts her off, telling her that they will discuss it when he gets to Paris. As Victor hangs up the phone, an earthquake hits in Mexico. As the room trembles, a bookcase tumbles and falls over on Nicole.

Angela, Brandon and Sami are in the restaurant talking about (what else?) the tape. Angela talks about how tired she is of hearing about "the tape your son, the tape" (well join the club honey!). She wants it all to end soon, and suggests that she and Brandon get married tonight. She rushes off to make plans as Brandon looks like a scared rabbit. Sami feels bad for Brandon, but he tells Sami not to worry about it, there's no way out of it. He tells her that he has a plan and if it all works out, he will be back in Salem soon. Sami looks up and sees (SURPRISE) Austin and Greta enter the restaurant. She grabs Brandon and Angela and heads out through the kitchen but NOT before Austin catches a glimpse of her. He tries to convince himself that he just imagined it. But a few minutes later, the waiter confirms that it was indeed Sami and Brandon. He is a little peeved about Sami lying to him, but decides to not get upset until he hears her side of the story. He and Greta talk about the upcoming coronation as Greta is excited and nervous. She encourages him to go and talk with Sami, but he says that he is HER date and refuses to go. Angela rushes in, telling Papa that she wants to get married tonight. He says no as Kate returns to the room. Vincent informs them that they can't have the wedding tonight, because he is leaving for Paris. Sami yells out that NO ONE is leaving until she gets what she came for. Freeze frame on Sami's face as the credits roll.

THE INVITATIONS ARRIVE
Hope is delighted to receive not only invitations for her and Bo to Greta's coronation, but first class air tickets and hotel reservations (St. George Hotel) in Paris. (hmmm, have the writers been picking up our comments about $$$ for all these trips?, haha) Marlena calls John to tell him about receiving their invitation and wants to take Belle too. He injects she wants to get both her and Belle away from Brady, and she agrees that's partially true, but looks at it as a way for them to get away and what 16 year old girl wouldn't be dazzled by such an event? He agrees. She asks John to talk with Brady before they leave and try to discourage him from suing Roman. John isn't happy about that and hangs up after saying he'll talk to her later about it. Hope calls Marlena and learns they're both booked on the same flight to Paris the next day. Hope offers to book a different flight if Marlena would be uncomfortable with them nearby. Marlena feels they're old enough to get past this. Hope isn't convinced the way John is glued to JT. Marlena reminds Hope that JT is John's natural son and that she and John have had issues about both JT and Brady. She tells Hope she'll need to talk with John about JT herself. Hope decides to just book another flight, but Marlena feels they should all go together (were the kids invited too?) Marlena wonders if she was wrong about her and John having a second chance. Later John shows up at Marlena's office and apologizes for what he said earlier. They kiss and make up, thinking about Greta becoming a princess. John promises to make some big changes too. He thinks he'd like to start a new business in the fashion line. It would be good for Belle and Brady to intern at and work their way up the line. They comment how Victor won't like it, but Salem's big enough for the two of them. He's already played with names and logos and shows her one..BASIC BLACK (LOL, good one!!) She laughs (nice sound, it's been a while) and loves the idea. She's glad to see he's thinking about the future. At the cop shop Roman fills Bo in on Brady's plan to sue him. He admits he has no defense being he was out of line for going after Brady. He tells Bo how Brady will exploit his feelings for Marlena in this lawsuit. Hope and JT show up and are warmly greeted by the Brady men. As Roman holds JT, Bo asks Hope to use her influence with John to have Brady drop the suit as it's not good for the department or the family. Hope promises to do so on the plane to Paris and remembers that's why she came to see him. He's not happy about being with John & Marlena for 10-12 hrs. on the plane and tells Roman how John's around his son (JT) too much. Roman reminds him he can't have his cake and eat it too (so to speak) after wanting John to help them with Brady. Hope goes to pack and thanks him for being a good sport about flying with John & Marlena. Roman is concerned about Hope being in Paris again, especially under the circumstances, but Bo isn't worried.

DiMANSION
Lexie is aghast that Stefano asks her to choose between Abe and Isaac. He wants her to leave Salem for while. She agrees to do whatever it takes to keep her baby and hugs her father. He wants her to give him her complete trust and not to doubt him and she refuses at first, but will if he promises not to hurt anyone. As though Lexie's crying isn't enough, he reminds her she's a DiMera and Isaac will be the next generation of DiMera's after her. He asks if being married to Abe hasn't lost some of the value in her life. She tells him she can't choose between her baby and her husband and he comforts her when the doorbell rings. Dammit, he says (where's Iliana?). Guess who? It's Lilly Faversham. Stefano introduces Lexie as his daughter (come on, they must have met her when Lilly was in town before!!) . She fills Lexie in on her father's rubbing elbows with the upper crust in Europe. The two women share barbs as Lilly gives Stefano the invitation to the coronation. After mentioning how Stefano saved Greta after the explosion and had her at Maison Blanche, Lilly tells him Greta wasn't happy about having to invite him and asked Lilly to deliver the invitation personally in hopes of discouraging his attendance. He disses Lilly and Lilly promises to extend his regrets. Unfortunately he announces he will be there and wants to take Lexie. After Lilly sees herself out, Lexie asks if his admirerers know what kind of monster he is? He's excited about going back to Europe and wants to show her how wonderful the life is. She agrees and will talk to Abe about getting time off (what a new concept in Salem!). Stefano says Abe's not invited and they have decisions to make.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Victor returns home and isn't anxious to fly off to Paris right away. Nicole walks in a few minutes later and orders a vodka on the rocks. Apparently she flew back commercial as he's surprised she returned so quickly. She tells him she verified the $$ was in the bank and has moved it to another bank where he can't touch it. He admits that was wise. She gives him a check for $1,000,000 saying she had earned the five million and keeping it, but is breaking ties with him and is NOT leaving town. She shows him the copy of his will's codicil (which he denied making) and clues him in that it looks like Kate wants him dead. Victor can't believe Kate would do that after all they've been through. Nicole tells Victor she's the one who wants to be with him, Kate only wants to get rid of him. After it sinks in, Victor decides he wants Nicole with him. He'll have his lawyer invalidate the codicil and create a new one. He asks Nicole her favorite color (green) and will have a gown made for her and waiting in Paris for the coronation as she'll escort him there. He bellows to Henderson to pack their bags as Nicole smiles.

THE RACE TO PARIS
Angela changes her mind about going to Rome and gives driving instructions to Paris to Brandon (doesn't he need an international driver's license?). He promises to protect Angela being she'll be his wife. Sami is frustrated, not knowing Brandon's new cell phone number (these people change phone numbers like underwear, don't they?). She considers asking Austin to see if he knows where Kate is staying in Paris, but grabs her sweater and hurries out instead. She goes to the restaurant and asks a waiter (they do know everything, don't they?) and sure enough, he directs her to a cottage that Austin and Greta are staying in. While visiting with the children, Ingrid tells them about the Von Amberg crown and how it's been in a vault for 20 years. Greta was surprised to learn her mother didn't have it and asks why. The crown was taken away from PG as she was involved in illegal activities and kept unsavory company. Greta, however, has proved to be honorable and keeps honorable company (hello, if she's the princess, do they have the right to tell her what to do and who to see? Think my first royal act would be to get new staff, haha) Ingrid clues Austin in on Sami, but he insists on making his own mind up on matters (atta boy). Sami overhears from outside (paper thin walls there apparently) and is happy to hear Austin still cares for her. Oops, she overhears Austin saying joint custody is the solution. She realizes she can't count on him and flees without him even seeing her. Sami returns to her room for a pity party. She leans over the bed and finds Brandon's new cell # on a piece of paper on the floor. She calls it and Angela answers in the car. Sami insists on talking to Brandon (not a good idea under the circumstances) and of course, Angela hits the End button, saying it's a wrong number. Austin wants to see Sami before going to Paris, but Ingrid informs him the car's on the way and he needs to be in Paris with Greta for an announcement. Greta asks what, but Ingrid refuses to tell her (but on the way out thinks to herself that Greta won't be happy to learn there's no money for the orphans). Greta and Austin talk about how he still loves Sami. She hopes to find the right man. Sami breaks into Moroni's and lights a candle to see with. While looking for information on where everyone will be staying, she calls the airlines to make reservations for Paris (knows their number off the top of her head, how about that!) and makes it first class when she finds an envelope of money in the drawer at the same time. She also finds a gun and puts it in her purse. She's determined not to leave Paris without getting what she came for as the credits roll

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICE!!........
Who is on the phone with Mike, thanking him for the birthday card and giving her love to Carrie (happy to see missing family members keep in contact...nice touch). As she hangs up, Jenn comes in with a birthday cake, lit with candles. Alice blows them out, thankful there are only 6 (LOL), but they agree not to slice the cake till Abby comes home from school. Jenn asks Alice what she wished for, & Gran replies she would like to know what happened to Jenn and Jack in Africa. Jenn says Alice would not really want to know, as she found out things about her father, Bill Horton. They are things Alice would not want to know. This surprises Alice. She questions Jenn a bit more......who has a flashback of her and Jack (be still my heart...it was SO good to see Matt Ashford!) on an anniversary. Jenn says they all (she, Jack & Bill Horton) made a huge mess of things there. She claims Jack was a pal to Abby, who needed a father, and she needed a husband. Alice is puzzled and asks if there was someone else involved, and Jenn admits there was another man. Jennifer says when she and Bo met up in Ireland, all he wanted to know was why she was there, as has everyone else since she came home. And Jenn admits she went to Ireland because of this other man, and it was the biggest mistake of her life. Gran consoles Jenn, telling her that being home among her family and friends is the first step towards the help she needs now.

ALL ABOARD......
The plane for Paris is loaded with Salemites invited to the coronation. (Guess all their private jets are in the shop?) John & Marlena are stowing a bag in the overhead compartment, as Shawn greets Belle. Hope, the worrying mother, is once again trying to contact Caroline for the 3rd time to inquire about JT (the babies are not along). Victor boards with Nicole, (described as his assistant who is covering the coronation for Bella magazine) accompanied by Philip and Chloe! (So Victor is invited, and not only does he bring along his uninvited assistant, but his son, and the son invites his girlfriend....wonder what Miss Manners would say about that! LOL) (Salem High must be very liberal with student time off too!). And now who comes aboard? Ah, our favorite long time friend, Lily.......who has hired someone to help her with her luggage, etc. You know a sort of companion. And who is it? Why, Mimi, of course! (oh paleez!) (Gag me if Jan and Jason find a way to tag along.) As Lexie is having second thoughts about boarding the plane, and accompanying Stefano to Paris, he reassures her they are the only Salemites invited. As they enter the plane, Lexie is appalled to find all her friends aboard, who are staring in disbelief. Lexie again says she is afraid they will find out about Marlo. Mimi complains to Belle that she hoped to visit that sidewalk cafe, but Belle & Shawn will be together, as will Philip w/Chloe, leaving her all alone (isn't this a working trip for her anyway? hire a teen to fly out of country to carry your bags, yeah, right!). A few nasty barbs are made among the teens, primarily Chloe & Mimi. Lily sounds like she has had a bit too much brandy (remember how Lily LOVES to fly, NOT) as Mimi tries to find lipstick, combs, footsies, for her in the carry on case. (gotta love Lily) Victor strolls the aisles, making small talk with the various couples, and telling Hope that though they have had problems in the past, he hopes to put the past behind them and make a new beginning. He looks forward to getting pictures of his new grandchild. He and Stefano have some snide comments to make to each other, and as Victor returns to his seat, Stefano makes a small speech. He refers to having saved Greta's life in the past, & also says Greta is supposed to make a big announcement at the coronation......revealing the name of her father. John tells all the young people not to be fooled. That whatever Stefano did, there was a BIG price to pay and he only did things to help himself. Stefano then relates the big part he played in saving JT and helping Hope (he means in the turret). Chloe comments to Philip that this guy sounds like someone from Riggoletto, and Stefano, overhearing, makes some referral to the opera in Italian. Chloe is surprised he knows opera (what a laugh), but then Stefano scolds Mimi, telling her to get rid of the gum....she sounds like a heifer chewing her cud! LOL. Stefano stops in front of Marlena, and makes a comment about Sami being in Paris. Marlena does not know what he means, but he only says that Greta, being a princess, seems to have found a prince. When he returns to his seat, Lexie is beside herself, accusing "Father" of flaunting his omnipotence. Stefano informs her that his object was to throw everyone off guard, so they will not be thinking about Marlo. (This puzzles me. Why would they??)

GOIN' TO THE CHAPEL, AND WE'RE GONNA GET MARRIED.........
As Angela and Brandon are driving to the chapel, his cell phone rings, and it is Sami. She tells him how Angela hung up on her, and he asks Angela about it. She says what was she to do after the disrespectful (Angela's REALLY into this respect thing, isn't she?) way Sami talked to her and her papa. Brandon gets Sami to grudgingly apologize to Angela, who decides to give Sami directions to the chapel so she can be maid of honor. She says she will give her the tape right afterwards. (So Sami leaves Italy w/long straight hair, has just landed at the airport, and her hair is in tight little curls, an elaborate do to say the least, - do people do this while flying?). Brandon and Angela arrive at the chapel, are greeted by the Justice of the Peace, and Brandon tries to stall, waiting for Sami to get there. Separately, both realize he is going to have to go through with it. He wants to go get Angela a bouquet, but the JP's wife has one all ready, fresh from their garden. Sami rushes in, and the ceremony begins. Both Brandon and Angela recite their vows, and the JP asks if there is anyone who has reason to believe these two should not be married, let them speak now.......and Sami almost says something, but doesn't. BUT, just then Moroni and Kate burst in, and Brandon insists the JP pronounce them man and wife. There is yelling back and forth - Moroni scolding Angela, Kate and Sami hissing at each other - the words are spoken. Brandon and Angela are man and wife and they make a rush for the door, followed by Sami who is knocking down candle stands and other items to successfully block the way of Kate and Moroni (Angela better give Sami the tape or she'll be on their honeymoon with them too, haha) as the credits roll.

IN THE AIR
All of the Salemites are still on their flight to Paris as we jump all around the plane with little conversations. I couldn't get them all, but here are the highlights. Following Stefano's little speech, John & Marlena (as well as Bo & Hope) discuss it amongst themselves, with both couples upset. As Stefano returns to his seat, Lexie is furious with him for making such a scene. He reminds her that she is a DiMera and to act like one. Bo and Hope can't understand how/why Lexie is traveling with Stefano and how she puts up with him. They worry for her well being. Although, Hope points out that Stefano has a good side and showed it with her in the turret as he saved her life. Lexie is still worried over the Marlo situation as Stefano tries to calm her. She questions him as to the real reason he wanted her to accompany her on this trip. He informs her that he has safe-houses all over Europe and wants her to see one in particular to see if she approves, for she may have to spend some time there until it all blows over. He tries to convince her that she cannot trust Abe but to trust him instead. She vows not to leave Abe or Salem and her friends. She tells him that he will NOT get his hooks into her son. Stefano excuses himself and Lexie calls home to Celeste to check on Isaac. Just as she is hanging up, she is joined by Hope and they laugh at each other about worrying. Hope tells Lexie about JT's visit to the doctor and wonders if it is possible that he doesn't really have FAS. Both are excited at the prospect of him not having it. Hope finally gets around to her true question, Why is she traveling with Stefano? Lexie hints around at the possibilities of leaving Salem and moving to France. Hope is shocked to say the least. John and Marlena talk about the announcement that Stefano referred to and she wonders who Greta's father might be. John tells her that he is more concerned about his son. Marlena takes a jab at him and asks "which one Brady or JT?" John gets this exasperated look on his face and tells her that as far as JT is concerned, he is hands off. He wants to focus on Brady and his relationship with Marlena and wants them to work out their problems. With Hope gone, John heads over to Bo, who immediately snaps at him for asking about JT. Bo not-so-politely tells him to butt out of their lives. Bo realizes that he sounded rough and sort-of apologizes to John. He admits that he was at fault himself for not being there in the beginning for Hope and JT. He thanks John for what he did for them. Marlena watches and wonders if John is lying to Bo, just as he lied to her for months. Later, Hope and John return to their seats as John tells Marlena that they should all try and put their pasts behind them and concentrate on the future.

He wants things back the way they were before Brady was shot. Stefano returns to his seat as well (returning from the lounge see below). He asks Lexie if she has given it some thought. She vows to never give up her son whatever it takes. Victor and Nicole talk about Kate as she continues to slam her. Victor talks about the codicil and how he had a new will drawn up. He plans on publicly disgracing Kate. He can't understand just how Kate got him to sign the document. Nicole admits that she saw him do it. Victor puts a bit of fear into Nicole when he tells her that he thinks Kate is planning to have him murdered and that she too, could be put in the line of fire. She tells him that she is a threat as well, as she got Lucas drunk and he told her all about the death of Franco Kelly. Victor thinks that Kate is using Moroni to try and kill him. Victor wants to send Nicole back to Salem, away from danger, but she refuses to leave the side of her "stud".

Elsewhere on the plane, Philip, Chloe, Belle, Shawn, Mimi and Lilly are all in the lounge. Philip encourages Shawn to make a move on Belle while in Paris, but Shawn insists that they are just friends. The kids are laughing at Lilly (who is about half lit, singing along and flirting with the piano player). Someone (Mimi I think) brings up last time they were all on a plane and right on cue, there is turbulence. Lilly panics, but Shawn holds her and calms her down. Chloe notices that Belle seems down and mentions something about an opera. When Belle questions her and she begins to explain, Stefano walks up and is impressed with Chloe. Chloe and Stefano are formally introduced as Philip brags about how well Chloe sings. Stefano wants to hear her, so she agrees. As she sings part of an opera, Stefano is moved to tears (Mimi just rolls her eyes). (Personally, I think Chloe sounds a little off...Lilly sounded better, but that's just my opinion.) When she finishes, he dries his eyes and calls her an angel. He kisses her hand and says that he will never forget her. After Stefano leaves, Brady's name comes up somehow and this leads to an argument between Chloe and Philip (who tells her to stay away from Brady). After Philip apologizes and Chloe forgives him, Shawn tells Belle that he can't understand why Philip lets her treat him that way. That will NEVER happen to him. On the Ground Greta and Austin talk about the upcoming coronation and he tells her that he is glad to be there with her, but he is worried about Sami. Greta questions him and wonders if Sami is up to her old tricks again. Ingrid (overhears) and enters, asking Austin if that is what HE thinks. She informs them that Sami is NOT welcome at the coronation. She informs them that there are people coming to "transform" them into the royal couple. After she leaves, they joke a bit about that comment with some mindless banter, which leads to Greta openly flirting with him. As Ingrid said, a man and woman arrive with lots of boxes. Later, they are measuring them as Ingrid calls security and informs then that there will be pictures of Sami being distributed and that she is to be stopped if seen.

Elsewhere, Angela, Sami and Brandon race from the chapel, with Kate and Vincent in hot pursuit. Moroni's goons detain them as they catch up. Vincent pulls a gun on Brandon (they are already in the car) and demands the tape. Angela swears that she has destroyed it. While Angela and Kate argue, Brandon slips the tape out of Angela's purse. Sami (pistol packing Mama) grabs the tape, pulls her gun on Kate and jumps in the car taking off, shooting back at them. (Hmmm guess she never thought WHAT IF she hit Brandon). (AND, while I'm at it...I'm STILL wondering just HOW Sami got on a plane with that gun!) The car careens out of control and she crashes. She must've not gotten far, because here come all the others running and catch up with her. Vincent gets the tape, only to have Kate snatch it from his hands. Sami gets out of the car begging for the tape. Kate calls her a "harlot" (well, talk about the pot calling the kettle black!) and they get into a cat fight. Kate leaves with Moroni, leaving Sami crying in Brandon's arms. In the car, Vincent takes the tape back and refuses to let Kate have it until he gets what he wants but agrees to let her have a listen. He realizes that she will do ANYTHING to get what she wants. Kate tells him that once Victor is taken care of and she gets the tape, THEN he will get his reward. (Hey Vincent I wouldn't trust that hoochy-mama for a second!) Back with the others, Sami vows not to give up. Angela and Brandon promise to help her as the 3 of them take off on foot and the credits roll.

Episode #8979
Tape Date: 1/10/01
Directed by: Randy Robbins
IN SALEM.... ON THE DOCKS........
Shawn Sr. is walking along, when he spots someone coughing with his hand over his mouth. When he sees who it is, he exclaims with delight, as he greets his old friend from Ireland, Ian. They talk a bit about Bo blundering into Ireland and undoing all the months and years of covert work. Ian mentions Jenn, and how she did not even know what she was getting into, and now she is in trouble, too. They agree they have to protect her. Ian explains how they thought she was married, but she wasn't, and how she adopted an Irish brogue and always wanted to be paid in cash. They talk of perhaps Stefano finding out, and wonder if he already knows. Shawn gives Ian an envelope, when another man shows up, though we only see the back of him. (Hmmm, reminds me of seeing only Brady's feet for weeks!) Shawn stares in disbelief, and says "Collin", as the man embraces him, calling him "Uncle Shawn".

AT THE CARVERS........
Abe is watching a game as there is a knock at the door. He opens it to find Fay. She explains she thought it a good time to talk about Brandon. She is worried about where he is, and what he is up to. Abe tells her that Brandon thinks Abe is responsible for messing up their lives. Fay says Brandon just does not understand, as he was just a boy, and that Abe always treated her like a lady. She apologizes for Brandon, and says to Abe that she had better let him go. After Abe sees her to the door, she pulls her coat around her, saying, "But I'll never let you go".

AT THE SALEM MALL.....
Julie & Jenn are shopping the sales and go for coffee. Julie tells Jenn she has waited 4 weeks, but Jenn still has not opened up about why she is back home, and Jenn thinks Gran told Julie, but Alice would never betray a confidence. Jenn finally opens up to Julie, saying in a heartbreaking way how she discovered things about her father that she never expected. She then talks about Jack. And how she was so much in love and thought him perfect, and his various schemes were adventures. But she got older, Abby got older......and it seemed that Jack did not. She then confesses about the "other man", but says it was just conversations.

At the other end of the mall, Brady is hobbling along on his crutches (just how did he get there?) and Roman comes by. Brady calls out to him, and Roman says it is not a good idea for them to talk, since the shooting is still under investigation. Brady begins to con Roman, talking about how it is like the 12 step program, and you must contact people who you may have wronged. Brady then pours it on about how it felt to be shot, and wake up in the hospital. Roman apologizes, but Brady really starts digging in the knife.(Brady seems to be a master at pushing all the right buttons...he really knows how to get someone going) He talks about how Marlena urged Roman on, and Roman bought it. Roman defends himself saying there was evidence, but Brady points out it was circumstantial at best. Then Brady asks if his dad knows that Roman is still in love with Doc. Roman explains they will always have a connection because of their children, but they love each other as friends. Brady says perhaps he used the wrong word, and he should have said lust instead of love. And then refers to his sister's paternity, how Marlena got knocked up and did not know who did the dirty deed. Roman becomes incensed, and tells Brady never to talk about Marlena that way and gets up to leave. Brady gets up and begins to yell, saying he wants everyone to know WHO did this to him, hunted him down like an animal, and shot him in cold blood. He is drawing a crowd, and Roman strides off, passing Jenn & Julie sitting at the table. They greet him, and he says they should get "him" (pointing at Brady)....calmed down. They both look to Brady and ask if he is all right.

IN EUROPE....... IN THE CAR......
Brandon and Sami are talking about losing the tape, and how close they were to having it.(Where is new bride Angela....cannot believe she would leave Brandon alone) Sami knows that her picture has been distributed to the guards at the coronation, and talks of disguising herself in order to get in. (Think that hooker getup will work, LOL) Brandon says no, but she wants to keep an eye on Kate. They argue, and Brandon tells her that her anger towards Kate is unreasonable and she should end it. She responds with a jibe about his anger towards Abe. They end up in a kiss, but Sami thinks to herself that she cannot love Brandon in the same way he loves her.

OVER AT THE ITALIAN CONNECTION......
Kate and Moroni are toasting the eventual demise of Victor. They discuss their goals and their plot, and say the coronation is the best place as with all the various assembled guests, no one will know for sure if Victor was the intended victim. They again discuss the "territory" and the tape, and begin to indulge in a real smoochy face makeout session. He is unzipping her dress as there is a knock at the door. Kate gets scared, but Moroni gets her zipped up again, and opens the door. Ah, his old friend Sal, the hit man! (LOL, he is dressed like one of the fellows from Guys and Dolls.....maybe Nathan Detroit or Sky Masterson) They talk about offing Victor, though in very polite terms .....finishing the project, etc.....when Kate asks Sal if he would like to double his money. Of course he would, but it is $100,000. She says no problem about that, takes out a picture, and tells Sal, I want you to kill her. It is a picture of Sami. And the credits roll.

Episode #8980
Tape Date: 1/11/01,
Directed by: Phil Sogard

ALL IN PARIS TODAY Java Café, Parisian style (except it's inside)
Belle, Shawn and Mimi (who found a pretty beret in the airport apparently) stop at a café for some breakfast. After remembering their last adventurous trip Paris, Shawn goes for some café au lait for them, Mimi informs Belle that she thinks Shawn should be Belle's date for the coronation. Shawn overhears Mimi and Belle talking about Belle going out with someone and Shawn asks who. They laugh and have fun with some French phrases and words of endearment. Cute scene. Mimi has a little pity party and Belle and Shawn try to cheer her up and claim self-confidence is the key. (Shawn read it in a women's magazine at one of JT's doctor's appointments, haha) Mimi needs Shawn's help. She wants Shawn to say something sweet to her in French so she can tell her mom that some cute guy said something sweet to her in a French café. Shawn goes over and kneels next to Mimi and says my petite something or other and kisses her (Belle is not happy about that, haha).

CORONATION PREPARATION AND FAMILY GET-TOGETHERS
Ingrid shows Austin and Greta the preparations for the coronation. They are in awe as Greta hopes she'll live up to expe
