December 4, 2000
It's Belle's first day back at school after the accident, and she gives a heartfelt speech to her peers, thanking them for their support. She asks them to please pray for Brady. Later, Chloe tells Belle that she never thought Brady would hurt her. This stokes jealous feelings in Philip, who then pulls Chloe aside. Meanwhile, Shawn tells Belle it's good to have his friend back. Belle privately wishes she was more than a friend...
Marlena starts her radio show, but things go from bad to worse. Consumed by thoughts of Brady, she is clearly in no state to be taking over the airwaves. It doesn't take long for miles to pull Marlena off, and send Nancy on. Nancy is thrilled and handles the callers with her trademark "no holds barred" technique...
Brandon drops the bomb that he saw Fay and Abe kissing when he was a little boy. Fay is forced to admit that she loved Abe and she always will. Brandon drops another bomb when he says that he's going to get married soon...
Moroni confronts Sami. He tells her he saw her at the blue note with Brandon last night. Angela demands an explanation, and Sami has her work cut out for her as she tries to convince the two that she only wants to get her son back. Moroni warns Sami that she's made a serious mistake...
John tries to encourage Brady, saying that he will recover the use of his legs. Brady, however, doubts it. Later, John runs into Marlena in the hallway and tells her not to go near Brady. It's her fault that he's in this situation. Marlena feels terrible and says she wouldn't blame John if he decided to end their marriage...
December 5, 2000
Nicole interrupts an intense argument between Fay and Brandon. Nicole badmouths the two, and it doesn't take long until Nicole and Brandon get into it. Nicole says Fay never did a thing for her, and Brandon tells her to quit complaining... at least their dad didn't beat her. Nicole says he did a lot worse to her. She deadeyes Fay, knows her mom is aware of everything. After Nicole leaves, Brandon says he's sorry. Fay says he can prove it by leaving Abe alone...
John and Roman face off. John blames Roman for Brady being shot. He thinks Roman set Abe up. And he has every intention of making him pay. Meanwhile, Abe tells the commissioner he's going to resign, but the commissioner won't let him. He tells Abe to take some time off instead. Later, Abe tells John how sorry he is for what happened, and much to Abe's surprise, John forgives him...
Belle freaks out when Marlena admits that her marriage to John is on the rocks. Marlena knows John blames her for Brady's shooting, and she can understand why. Later, Marlena, caught up in her emotions, runs out, and Belle feels like her world is crumbling...
It takes a lot of work, but Julie manages to convince Jennifer to come back to Salem. Julie, however, still fears Jennifer might try to bolt town. Later, Jennifer, Bo, Abby, Julie, and Doug have a tearful reunion with Alice and Hope...
December 6, 2000
Bo and Hope sneak up to their bedroom for a quickie, while the rest of the family is downstairs. Lexie stops by and is thrilled to see Jennifer... and later, Bo. Jennifer is filled in on the Abe situation, and we get the feeling Lexie is deeply worried about her husband...
Fay tells Abe that she heard about the shooting and is truly sorry. She knows how much pain he must be feeling right now. Fay says all she's ever wanted for Abe was happiness. That's why she wants him to try to mend fences with Brandon, because if he doesn't, she's afraid her son is going to do something terrible...
Angela tells her father she wants him to leave Salem. She loves him dearly, but hates having him hanging around all the time. Meanwhile, Sami wonders what's going on between Brandon and Abe. Caught up in his emotions, Brandon blurts out that Abe just wouldn't leave his mother alone... always coming around the house pretending to protect them. Sami wonders if Abe and Fay were involved, but Brandon just tells her never to repeat a word of this to anyone...
Belle breaks down in her dad's arms at the hospital. She feels like their family is falling apart. Belle knows something is up with her parents. In fact, Marlena said that she didn't even know if they had a marriage. John is burning up inside when he hears this, but puts up a front for Belle. He assures her everything is okay. Right now Belle needs to focus on getting healthy...
Maggie stops by to see Marlena, who is a complete wreck. Marlena feels like she's a fraud... She preaches one thing and does another. Maggie tells her she's totally off base. But Marlena is afraid she can't reconcile with Belle and still be truthful regarding her feelings about Brady. Maggie questions, and Marlena admits she thinks all this happened because of Brady...
December 7, 2000
Belle is upset when Chloe tells her that love doesn't always last forever. Belle is thinking about her own parents and doesn't want to lose Hope. Chloe notices her friend's upset and reminds Belle that Craig and Nancy worked through their problems after Chloe moved in. Meanwhile, Jan gets Mimi all riled up about how close Belle and Chloe are getting. And the two pull an evil stunt with Chloe that includes a dead rat...
Hattie has some dental work done by "Dr. Steiner," and when it's completed, she has a million dollar smile. Finally, the men are starting to acknowledge her...
Shawn welcomes his dad home with open arms. Bo is sorry he left them and promises he'll be there for them from now on. He wonders when they can baptize their little guy. An uneasy Hope tells him that J.T. was already baptized and that John stood in for Bo. Bo is stung, but tries not to show it. Later, Hope gets a shock when she learns that Princess Gina held Shawn at gunpoint at the new year's wedding a year ago...
Fay tells Abe that Brandon remembers seeing them kissing when he was a little boy. Abe is rocked and wonders if Fay told him about their affair. Fay denies, and pleads with Abe to talk to Brandon. She wants Abe to convince her son that he misinterpreted the kiss they shared. Abe says talking to Brandon would be a waste of time...
Lexie drops by Stefano's house and tells him about what happened with Abe and Brady. Lexie fears the P.D. will turn on Abe if there's enough pressure. Stefano says he'll do what he can. Lexie thanks him and wonders if there's a way he can help without Abe knowing. Stef promises to keep it low. Later, Lexie brings up Marlo, and we see this doesn't sit well with Stefano...

It doesn't take long for Chloe to figure out that Jan and Mimi are the ones behind the dead rat incident. Chloe vows to make them pay. She fishes the rat out of the trash, follows Jan and Mimi outside, and tortures her enemies...
Shawn finds Belle at school and she breaks down. She can't understand why everyone thought Brady would actually try to kill her. Shawn comforts his friend. Belle then opens up with regards to Chloe. She tells him that Chloe said some things that really hurt her. Shawn advises Belle to go easy on Chloe. Later, the two find themselves goofing off with silly string. It doesn't take long until their faces are inches apart, and it looks as though they might kiss...
Bo explains the events surrounding Princess Gina's wedding. Hope is shocked when she hears about everything, but she knows there are more secrets between them. And she wants to get everything out in the open. A big moment as Hope finally reveals to Bo that she knows he isn't J.T.'s dad...
Nicole pays Victor a little visit in his office. She locks the door and turns on the sexpot act. Victor is taken by her presence, and Nicole climbs on his lap and passionately kisses him. They are interrupted by Kate, who is knocking on the door, demanding to know what's going on...

Hope tells Bo she knows the baby isn't his. Bo admits he thinks the baby is Stefano's, but Hope assures him that's impossible. She tells Bo she's spoken with John about the paternity issue. Bo wonders who John thinks the father is. Will Hope finally tell Bo the truth?
John visits a very distressed Marlena at her office. She's aware that John still blames her for the shooting that paralyzed Brady. She fears John is there to end their marriage. John admits he's still angry, but he still loves his wife and wants to work things out...
Before a Tazmanian devil can eat Austin and Greta, it morphs into Charles. He warns them that in order to complete their journey, Austin may have to sacrifice his life. The final test they must both pass is the test of love. Later, Austin is thrown into an arena to battle it out with three gladiators. Charles warns him that this time the danger isn't virtual... it's for real...
Sami continues pressing Brandon to tell her the truth about his past, but Brandon avoids. Sami says she has feelings for Brandon, but she can't be sure about them until he opens up to her. Brandon fears that by opening up to her, she might realize he's got a lot of demons inside... And he doesn't want Sami to decide she can't deal with him. Sami assures him that would never happen. She just wishes he'd open up regarding his past and Abe...
Lexie confronts Abe about Fay, and he finally tells her that when Brandon was a boy, he thought he saw Abe and Fay kissing. Lexie questions Abe, who sidesteps. The two really get into it, and things only get worse when Abe says the only way to deal with this Brady situation is by leaving Salem and starting a new life...

John tells Marlena that Bo is back in town, and John wants to tell him the truth. Marlena doesn't think that's a good idea, but John doesn't want his son growing up not knowing who his real father is. Marlena knows this will be rough on Belle, but John promises they'll get through it...
Bo starts to put the pieces together and wonders if John is J.T.'s father. Hope is a nervous wreck and is forced to lie. Bo is relieved and admits he wouldn't have been able to handle it if he found out John was J.T.'s dad. He'd always be wondering if John still had feelings for his wife. Hope absorbs this, her deepest fears confirmed...
Craig knows Brady is feeling pretty low right now, and he offers an ear if Brady ever wants to talk about it. Chloe enters, looking for Craig, and a humiliated Brady tells them to get lost. Chloe and Craig step outside and continue their conversation as Brady eavesdrops. He butts in when he hears Chloe talking about Julliard. Brady tells Chloe she can't sing, and this sets her off. She can't wait to leave Salem and jerks like Brady Black!
Shawn finds Belle at Salem Place and admits that he was concerned about her. She is touched. The two friends share some light moments, then Belle breaks down when she brings up the topic of Brady. Shawn comforts her and manages to put a smile back on her face...
Mimi sprints over to a screaming Jan after witnessing the rat incident. Jan wants revenge and says she's got a perfect plan for their dear friend, Chloe. And when she's through with her, Philip will never want to look at her again...
December 14, 2000
Tensions are high for both Hope and Marlena, as well as Bo and John. Hope and Marlena argue about the secret they're keeping regarding J.T.'s father. The fight gets so bad that Marlena bows out of Hope's wedding party and contemplates leaving Salem. Later, Hope is fuming when Marlena tells her that she has a feeling John went over to see Bo and tell him the truth. Meanwhile, John and Bo have an argument of their own. John insists on still being there for J.T., but Bo says he's the only father J.T. will know. Later, it looks as though John is about to tell him the truth...
Brandon finally opens up to Sami, telling her about his childhood. He reveals that his father used to beat his mother, and things only got worse when Abe Carver started coming around their house. Sami can't believe she's hearing this. Brandon says Abe destroyed their family and that's why he's got to pay!
Lexie asks Abe to tell her about his past with Fay. After avoiding the subject for quite some time, Abe eventually comes clean. He admits the two of them shared a kiss, and even more...
Chloe is jealous when she sees Shawn and Belle walking hand-in-hand through Salem Place. Philip confronts Shawn, wondering if he and Belle are on a date. Much to Belle's dismay, Shawn says it's nothing like that. Later, Chloe admits to Belle that she and Brady bumped into each other on the pier and sang together. Belle is struck. She had no idea her brother could carry a tune...
December 15, 2000
Alice presses Jennifer for information about Jack and Africa, but Jenn says she isn't ready to give any details yet... Brady is less than thrilled when a physical therapist stops by to help work with him. Victor speaks privately with his bitter grandson. Victor knows exactly what Brady is going through. It wasn't long ago he was stuck in bed 24/7. But if Brady ever wants to recover, he's got to be positive. Victor is living proof that determination and confidence is the key. Brady is rejuvenated after their talk and decides to work with the physical therapist...
Jan races up to Philip, Shawn, and Belle and tells Philip to dump Chloe ASAP. Mimi joins the group and tells them about the rat incident. Just then, Chloe approaches, and Mimi and Jan bolt. Chloe admits to what she did, and she's got plans for Mimi, too! Belle tries to persuade her not to do anything, but we get the feeling Chloe has something big in the works...
Hattie stops by Dr. Steiner's office in hopes of having her facelift performed today. Rolf is sorry, but her nose has to be healed before he can operate, however he is going to have his assistants give Hattie a full-on makeover so she can see what she'll look like when she's finished. Stefano is pleasantly surprised when he sees Hattie's new look through the two-way mirror... She is the spitting image of Marlena!
Marlena says she wants John to let Bo and Hope live their lives, but John says he can't. Marlena calls him selfish, and John resents that. She firmly tells John that's the child's welfare must come first!
Hope and Bo start the day at odds. Hope wonders what John said to Bo earlier, and she's relieved when she finds out he didn't tell Bo about J.T.'s parentage. Later, Bo says he's never going to keep anything from her again. The two discuss the upcoming wedding, then melt into a kiss.

Moroni drops by to see Victor and Kate. He's got something very important to discuss. He tells them that Angela told him about Roberto's confession tape... that Kate and Lucas are the ones who framed Sami for Franco's murder. Victor tries to deal with this rationally. He asks Moroni if he wants to make a deal...
Brandon and Sami have another disagreement, which leaves Sami upset. She goes home and bites Angela's head off. Meanwhile at the hospital, Brandon makes a good first impression on Jennifer...
We finally see Chloe's mystery purchase... a container of industrial strength glue. She sneaks up to the bathroom and pours it into Mimi's shampoo bottle. Later, Mimi returns to the Wesley house and steps into the shower, unaware of the impending danger...
Marlena and John spend the day at odds with regards to Brady. John wants his son to come home so they can all work out their problems, but Marlena doesn't think she and Brady should be living under the same roof. Meanwhile, Belle visits with her brother in the hospital. He tells her he doesn't want to ruin everyone's Christmas, so he'll just stay in the hospital. Belle, however, begs him to come home...

Rolf and Stefano discuss the projects they have in the works. Stefano can't wait to get John back under his control. Rolf agrees, and says he was the best of all Stefano's creations. Stefano says maybe not... He's hoping to someday groom Isaac to surpass even John Black...
Mimi is freaking out, having just poured industrial strength glue onto her head. She screams out for help. Nancy hears her and tries to help, but the bathroom door is locked. Nancy drags Chloe outside and tells her to climb the ladder up to the window. Chloe refuses, and Nancy is forced to do it. Will she be able to save Mimi?
Hope, Jennifer, and Lexie talk about the upcoming wedding. Hope asks Jennifer to take Marlena's place as matron of honor. Jennifer graciously accepts. Later, Stefano stops by and Lexie privately tells him she wants the truth about Marlo...
Less than thrilled when she sees Brady wheel himself through the penthouse door, Marlena decides she's going to move out temporarily. John tries to persuade her not to, but it seems her mind is made up. Meanwhile, Brady tells Belle he wants her to treat him like she used to. Later, Shawn stops by to see Belle, and they come very close to kissing...

Craig is horrified when he comes home from work only to find his wife dangling from the upstairs bathroom window. He tears upstairs and bangs down the bedroom door. Nancy cries out for help, but Craig can't open the bathroom door. He orders Mimi to unlock it, but Mimi says she can't because her hands are stuck to her hair with crazy glue. Chloe can't help but chuckle, and Craig wants to know if she had anything to do with this. Nancy starts to slip out of the window and we wonder if Craig will save her...
Belle and Brady are shocked when Marlena tells them she's temporarily moving out. John tries to stop her, but to no avail. Before she goes, Brady has a private moment with her. He threatens her, which leaves Marlena rattled.
Bo and Hope are lured to Tuscany thinking that Maggie giving them a complimentary dinner. But when they arrive, they get quite a shock when all of their friends yell "Surprise!" It's a joint bachelor-bachelorette party!
December 21, 2000
Instead of attending the party, Belle stays at home with Brady. She encourages Brady to stand up. He makes an attempt, but to no avail. Belle is sorry. She vows to take care of him no matter how long it takes. Later, Brady tells Belle she's got to convince Marlena to come home. It's the only way things are going to get ironed out. Belle is pleased, thinking that her brother is being genuine, and says she'll do everything she can...
The party is in full swing at Tuscany. John is affected as he enters Tuscany to find Bo bonding with J.T. Hope sees John and pulls him aside. She pleads with him not to tell Bo the truth. Later, John asks Marlena to move home, but she says she isn't ready. Meanwhile, Sami confronts Victor. She knows what he, Kate, and Lucas did, and she's determined to get her son back; Roman tells Abe that he spoke with John, and he's still upset about the accidental shooting. In fact, Roman doubts the guy is ever going to let it go. Roman notes that John just isn't himself, and he's worried about Marlena; Jennifer is glad to see Marlena, but wonders if something is wrong; Bo tells Roman that John seems to have a peculiar interest in J.T., and this bothers him...

Lucas gets an upsetting present from Nicole... divorce papers! A livid Lucas signs them and tells Nicole to pack her bags. Nicole, however, says she isn't going anywhere. Lucas and Kate are going to be the ones to hit the road. Lucas wishes Nicole would just take the five million and leave, but Nicole says why settle for five when she can get fifty? Later, Sami enters and Will tells her how Daddy has a drink every night. Sami is furious and promises Lucas that her lawyer will find out about this...
Brady and Belle get caught up in an intense video game until Brady falls out of his wheelchair. Belle tries to help him, but to no avail. John comes in and rushes to his son's aid. Brady is frustrated, but John says he's going to be there for him every step of the way because he loves him...
The kids run into Mimi at Salem Place, and Chloe rips off her bandana exposing Mimi's glued-filled hair. The guys can't help but laugh, and Mimi vows to get revenge. Later, as Belle pushes Brady through in his wheelchair, Philip tosses the football, telling him to think fast. Brady catches it, but orders Belle to get him out of there...
Bo and Hope spend much of the day preparing for their Christmas eve wedding. They can't wait to walk down the aisle in front of family and friends...
At the hospital, Alice reads the sick children the annual Christmas story. Jennifer is there with Abby, Sami and Nicole bring Will, and Belle and Brady even stop by. Afterwards, Belle tells Brady that she believes in miracles. And she knows he's going to walk again soon...

Tonight is Christmas Eve as well as Bo and Hope's wedding... But it's also a night filled with chaos and drama. Everyone gathers at the Horton house for the traditional hanging of the ornaments. Alice has vivid memories of Tom, in which it seems as though he's in the room with them. A driver stops by to pick up Hope and her bridesmaids to take them to the church. The clock is ticking, and the ladies are forced to get dressed in the limo. They swing by the burger barn for a quick bite on the way, but Hope spills ketchup on her gown. Their unfortunate luck continues, as does Lexie and Abe's who get a flat tire on their way to the church. Hope spots Lexie and Abe on the side of the road and the limo stops to pick them up. They speed off to the church, where blood pressures run high in anticipation. Will they make it in time?
December 27, 2000
What started out as chaos for Bo and Hope, turns into a picture perfect wedding ceremony. The bridesmaids help fix Hope up so she is a vision of loveliness when she walks down the aisle. The couple states their vows, and then Hope gives a poignant speech, saying that she hopes all parents can follow the example she was taught and put their children's welfare and happiness before their own. Hope catches John's eye, and we wonder if she's gotten through to him. Later, the priest announces Mr. And Mrs. Bo and hope Brady. Bo kisses his bride... a true Christmas miracle.
Belle and Brady opt not to attend the wedding. They instead head to Salem Place, where Brady speeds around in his new motorized wheelchair, and Belle zips through on her scooter. Later, Brady runs into the kids he met at the
truckstop. They are horrified when they see him in the wheelchair. Brady stays strong for the boys and says that he will get better. It'll just take some confidence. Belle is moved when she hears this, praying that her brother has decided not to give up hope. Later, another Christmas miracle occurs...
December 28, 2000
Brady and Belle are full of joy when they return to the penthouse. It's a miracle! He has feeling back in his legs! Brady tries his hardest to stand up, but to no avail. He doesn't let this discourage him, though. He persuades Belle to go to the wedding reception, and she finally does. Later, John returns home after hearing the good news about his son. In a touching moment, Brady shakes his dad's hand and wishes him a merry Christmas...
The wedding reception is in full swing. The happy couple is introduced by Shawn. Roman gives a heartfelt toast which leaves Marlena guilt-ridden; Hope gives John an innocent kiss on the cheek, thanking him for the best present ever...
J.T.; Bo rips into Marlena, accusing her of trying to destroy their lives; Maggie drives an upset Marlena back to the hotel just before Belle arrives at the reception with the good news about Brady. Later, the kids ice skate on the canals, but they're in for a big surprise...
December 29, 2000
Abe tells Sami to keep her distance from Brandon, but Sami says she likes the guy. Meanwhile, Benny tells Brandon that he wants to move forward with the Abe Carver case, but Brandon says they will... in due time. Right now he is focusing on something else (i.e.
Sami). Fay is furious when she overhears Brandon tell Benny that when they're through with carver, he'll be a dead man. Later, Angela is forced to give her father Roberto's confession tape. Sami is livid and says that Brandon will be furious when he hears about this!
Philip and Chloe discuss their relationship as they ice skate. Philip says that getting to know Chloe has made him find out what it means to really care about someone. Later, Philip whispers that he thinks he's falling in love with Chloe...
Mimi and Jan meet up at Salem Place. Jan gives Mimi the details about her vengeful plan to get back at Chloe...
Greta is faced with a huge decision... If she stops the fight before it begins, Austin will be saved from probable death. But if that's what she so chooses, she can't help the orphans. Austin says he believes in Greta. She tells Charles to let Austin fight. Charles announces that it's going to be a battle to the death...
