| These tiny mittens, about 2" in length when done, can be worn as a little Chrismas pin, or better yet, strung together in poairs, them make adorable gift decorations. Or maybe as little pencil toppers. You are only limited by your imagination! |

| Materials: fingering or baby weight yarn, small needles (3.00 mm or smaller) Cast on 10 stitches. Rib k1, p1 for 6 rows, increasing by 4 st in last row (14 st) Row 1: k6, inc in next 2 st, k6 Row 2: purl Row 3: k6, inc in next stitch, k2, inc in next stitch, k6 Row 4: purl Row 5: k6, inc in next stitch, k4, inc in next stitch, k6 Row 6: p7, p6 across thumb stitches, TURN WORK, K6, TURN WORK AGAIN, (p2tog) 3 times, break yarn, leaving a tail about a metre long. Thread yarn through three thumb stitches, sew up thumb seam, then using the rest of the tail yarn, continue on and p7. Row 7: knit Row 8: purl Row 9: k2tog, k4, k2tog, k4, k2tog Row 10: purl Row 11: k2tog, k2, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k2, k2tog Row 12: purl Draw tail through remaining stitches. Sew side and thumb seams.
