Northern Australia. 2001

Uli and I spent two weeks in Northern Australia. We first went on a seven day Willis' Walkabout in the Carr Boyd Ranges in the Kimberley near Kunannara. There were four of us in the group - Andy Peart (our guide), Betty Lum (Andy's girlfriend), Uli and me. We got on like a house on fire. Andy was very knowledgable, and took us to some beautiful spots in the Carr Boyd Ranges. We were dropped off an hour upstream from Kunannara, and slowly made our way (in 7 days) to a road, where we were picked up in a 4 wheel drive. The whole trip was very well organised. Uli and I will be going on a walk in Arnhem Land in March 2003.

After the walk, we went on several quick look trips. We went to the Bungle Bungles (a day trip by plane). We also darted into Kakadu National Park for a day.
