The word "cancer" has a very strong negative ring. In a not too distant time was cancer = dead. 
Today the odds for survival are very good provided early discovery and treatment is given. The main cause of the sickness is however still covered in mystery. I have experienced a maternal aunt, then my mother, father and brother passed away because of this disease, mother at 52 and brother at 54 years of age, and have then myself been struck and treated.

I am much aware of the fact that the nature of cancer that initially struck me is not the worst kind that occurs but I would still like to tell my story. Maybe reading it can in some way help someone not to entirely feel despair if the doctor�s diagnosis is: "You have cancer."
