| IIn the above article was written BEFORE my mother was married of course. The "Henderson" mentioned is actually my AUNT JOAN!!! a great ball player in her own right and a world class speed skater to boot! I found out YEARS later that we also wore the same number..... the ONLY NUMBER... #13! |

| Amazing story behind this site! Decided one day I'd see if I could find anything on the ballteam that she used to play for. The St. Vital Tigerettes, on the net. After a brief search i was taken to a page at SOFTBALL MANITOBA and LOW AND BEHOLD WHO should be staring back @ me but my mother! In fact I have the exact same picture that you see if you use the the link! I E-mailed a VERY nice lady by the name of Barb who promptly got back to me and said that they welcome nominations to the MANITOBA BASE BALL HALL of FAME! Well hopefully with some help from my Aunt Eleanor who grew up watching my mother play I can turn a life long dream into reality! I will DEFINATELY keep you posted! |
| UPDATE : FEB 25th, 2004! Received a letter from Manitoba Baseball Hall of fame yesterday informing me of the induction of my mothers team from the years 1949 - 54 which, I didn't even think about, ALSO included my FATHER AND MY AUNT!!!! Let me tell you the night of May 1st 2004 Winnipeg Manitoba is GONNA BE ROCKIN!!!!!!!!! |
