Built in 1910, Benthams is a spacious house set in 2 acres of land and surrounded by attractive gardens overlooking the ancient stannary (tin) town of Lostwithiel.
Mrs Shirley Sanders offers very comfortable accommodation consisting of two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and one single room.  Private bathroom facilities are available, as are tea and coffee making facilities on request.

All rooms have washbasins with H & C and colour televisions.

The Local Town
Directions:-
Take the A30 to Bodmin, from Bodmin take the B3268 to Lostwithiel.  On entering Lostwithiel you will come to a T-junction, this road being A390.  Turn left onto the A390 and go through the town.  Following the road for approximately 300 meters.  Benthams is on the left-hand side.  There are two large signs including the house and B&B.

From Exeter via A38: take A38 to Plymouth, crossing the Tamar bridge to enter Cornwall. Continue on A38, bypassing Liskeard. At Dobwalls take the left turn immediately before the traffic lights onto the A390 to Lostwithiel. Following this road you will come down a slight incline into Lostwithiel. Benthams is situated just after Collamere, which is a large Nursing Home on the right hand side of the road. There are  large signs indicating the House and B & B.

Lostwithiel is the ideal centre for touring Cornwall using the A390 which runs through the whole town giving easy access to the whole of the county.
The town, which was once the capital of Cornwall, has many interesting historical features including a 13th century bridge and castle and the Parish Church of St. Bartholomew's, the patron saint of tinners, built around 1190.
