This ancient art form is alive and well today, and is expressed wonderfully by the dancers featured here. For those of you who would like to see or learn more I also maintain a Middle Eastern links page. I appreciate all comments, so feel free to e-mail me.
This site is mainly photographs of Bellydancers. You will not find history of the dance, dance instructions, or videos for sale here. I have an extensive list of Dance links for all of that. This site can be a valuable rescource for dancers in need of costuming ideas however. There are hundreds of those here!
I do not give out dancers names, phone numbers, or personal info so please do not ask.
I started shooting photos of Bellydancers several years ago and it grew into a passion for the dance. No I am not a dancer, I am a percussionist, playing dumbek, tar, riq, bendir, djembe, ashiko, & tabl beledi, and of course shooting photos! I travel up & down the west coast going to dance events. Say hi if you see me!
I get a lot of mail from this site and sadly I do not have time to reply to everyone. Don't let that stop you from sending me mail though. I at least will read it. I try to add photos regularly. I have stacks and stacks of photos to scan and post, it's just finding the time to do it.
Finally...A Photo of Me!
