| Although I'm well-studied on the early Chinese dynasties from a historical perspective, I'm a novice so far as coins go. Most of the information given about specific varieties, and especially their dating, comes from David Hartill's Cast Chinese Coins, which any collector/seller/lover of Chinese coins should have. Some other information also comes from Robert Kokotailo's Calgary Coins website. I myself have attempted to provide more detailed information on ruler names and reign dates for Han and Three Kingdoms times (my specialty), and in some cases, as with the end-date for the Shu-Han Dynasty, my dating differs slightly from that of others. |
