Well, looks like my geocities account has reverted back to its former crappiness; as a result, I've registered a new domain and webserver. Expect to see the updated link soon, along with a new service calendar and forum for APO Section 4. I just need to transfer my existing files over... I'll clean up the code some other time. Hehe.

Right now, I'm just patching security issues for my server, setting up the databases, Movable Type, etc. Basically, I'm trying to get away from depending on anyone else's server(s), such as using Blogger.

Anyone want to help design my site and make it look prettier? ;)

Some things never change... *sigh*

For all my big talk and cocky grins, I still can get so frustratingly shy when dealing with women. I can go out with a group of 4 ladies to a museum and dinner, be charming, entertaining, and comfortable with myself. Then the very next day, I can go to the post office, see an equally cute and nice-seeming girl, and completely freeze up!

Hey cool, she returned my smile! Wow, she has a cute smile... definitely looks like the type you can bring home to your parents!

I look away, then later glance at her again...
OMG, she's making eye contact and smiling back again! What do I do? Should I say anything? Say HI dumbass!

I turn back, and pretend to concentrate on the stamp machine in front of me, painfully aware that she was 2 feet to my left, weighing her mail.
Say something! ...Dammit, think of something witty to say! But what the hell can I possibly say about mail without sounding like a complete retard or stalker??

I get my stamps, and slowly make my way to the table to affix them to my mail.
Fricking a, I knew I should've showered before leaving the house!!! I wonder if I stink? =(

So we both walk out at about the same time (kinda convenient, eh? ;p), and as she crosses the street, I look at her again...
Oh please please please, give me magical eyes or something that'll make her turn around and start talking with me!

She looks back at me, smiles one last time... then we both get into our cars, and go our separate ways.
Steve... you're killing me! ...Yeah, shaddup... I hate you too!

Snippet of conversation with a friend:
you only IMAGINE how bad it is to be rejected...but you KNOW how much it sucks to miss out

okie...in that case you prob cannot go wrong with 'hi'
but do it FAST before you have a chance to chicken out
and do it FAST so you will not think of something 'cool' to say that is actually dorky or scary
strike first strike fast strike hard

seriously though...you are your own worst enemy when you overanalyze things. you fuck yourself up

Blah blah blah. =).

Pffft, whatEVER Jammin Jenn! It was all you!!! All I did was sit at my computer, put together your ideas, and look pretty. (Can't help it ya know ;p) By the way, you seem to be having lots of fun picking up HTML (not to mention, you're learning really fast), you go girl! It MUST be the high school! =D

Someone help me come up with a better "j" word than Jammin, please! Something that epitomizes the cool, bad-assedness that is Jenn! Hehe.

Favorite quote of the moment (Gina Lee to me): "Wow, you're old... but still hella hot!" Hahaha... good save! ;p

This past weekend has been one of the oddest in my life. I think I must have experienced every possible human emotion over that short span of time...*sigh*

If I seem more quiet or withdrawn these days, please excuse me... just been doing lots of soul-searching and personal re-evaluations. And I just wanted to thank all of you for making the effort to stay in touch with me, all these years. I appreciate all of your friendships. =)

To the ones who are going through tough times right now, I may not have said it to you, but I do care and empathize with what you're going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and never hesitate to call if there's anything I can do... even if it just be to listen.

I'll share some of the lighter/funnier experiences next time... in the meantime, enjoy these new pics:

Have more pics from my ski trip, stolen from courtesy of Eugene! Thanks Eug! Teehee. But in typical Steve Lee fashion, I'm too lazy to re-edit my HTML, so deal! =p Hey, I hand-code all my HTML/JS using textpad, instead of some fancy-shmancy IDE! And yes, I do use vi and gdb (in the snow, both uphill and downhill.. without shoes!) to code my C/C++, so nyah!

If you didn't understand a word of that geek-speak, consider yourself fortunate...*twitch*

Here are my ski trip pics... they're pretty plain and unexciting, though. I wasn't about to risk my digi camera (my pressshhhhhusssssss....) for you people! ;p Sorry for so many pics of myself... I hope you're happy now, Patty! Hehe.

Hopefully my friends will hurry up and develop their pics so I can put up some nice outdoor pics... and I'm still waiting for more Nationals pics!!! =)

Just got back from bowling with Justin and Calvin... first time bowling in a long while for me, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Thanks for setting it up Justin, sorry I had to kick both your asses so badly. Don't hate me because of my God-given talent though! Muahaha...;p

Wooo, just got back from snowboarding at Sierra, and it was fun! Huge thanks to my lil sis, Rosina for being such a patient and kickass teacher! I'm still not sure if I'm a goofy or regular-footed boarder yet (although me being goofy shouldn't surprise anyone, hehe), but I noticed feeling more comfortable with my left foot forward, and with toe-side turns...

Yeah, I wiped out fell a lot from every conceivable angle but I just popped right up and continued down. Also managed to find time to goof around and try jumping and spinning in the air, hehe. The others told me how natural I looked, and how quickly I picked up boarding... but I credit that entirely to my "babysitters": Will, Rosina, Keith, and Char. =) (I felt bad about them keeping me company, and wasting their own boarding time though...=x) The best part of snowboarding had to be going down the Sugar and Spice run (basically, a super long bunny slope) really fast! For some reason, I felt more in control (probably because I had less time to think and over-compensate) the faster I went, and blew by everyone! The sweetest parts came when I was about to lose my balance on some of the narrower turns, and I stuck a hand down in the snow to kinda push myself up and along... I came so close to wiping out, but just stuck with it, regained my balance and continued flying down. I can't describe how huge of a rush that was! That was just... sweeeeeeeeeet!!!

I think... no, I know that I'm just a huge speed/adrenaline junkie! All my senses just seem to come alive, and my reactions/thought-processes that much faster, the... faster I go. Hehe, I guess that probably explains why I'm usually bored under normal, slower conditions. I'll definitely be back snowboarding (and to the racetrack)! *grin*

Other than that, it was a nice, enjoyable get-together/weekend in Tahoe... I'll let my pics do the rest of my talking. =) By the way, can anyone explain to me why my daytime shots look like crap now? Essentially, in bright outdoor conditions, the picture gets completely flooded to the point where the image looks like a photo negative? It's pissing me off, especially since I took lots of nice scenery pics and never encountered this problem before. All my settings seem untouched, and the instruction manual hasn't helped...*sigh*

P.S. Hi, "neighbor". ;p
P.P.S. Quote: (Char to me) "Oh God, that's right... I forgot I'm not supposed to compliment you, cuz your ego gets too big!" ...I'm surrounded by haters. =((

Random entry in the middle of the night... the hardest part about losing fat (this is what you want to lose, not necessarily weight... like when you work out and put on lean muscle mass, you actually gain weight. But the more lean muscle mass in your body, the more fat you metabolize... but I digress! ...Damn biochem background! *twitch twitch* =D) is watching my calories, and what I eat. Seriously, it's like... lift weights in the gym 2-3+ hours a day to the point of passing out (hah, not that I've done this in like 2 years!)? Not a problem. But give up my fatty lasagna oozing with cheese and sausage, or eat only half of my YUMMY Loco Moco from Hawaiian Drive Inn #28?

Oh HELL no!

I've been good about cutting down on the calories so far; that, combined with the daily exercise and *gasp* enough sleep, and I do feel leaner. The trick is to not feel like you're giving up anything, or working... and I am enjoying this routine. So far. =) I blame overeating on my parents for teaching me that stupid Chinese urban legend as a kid: basically, the "dirtier" your plate/bowl is, the uglier your wife will be. Needless to say, my future wife better freaking be Miss Asian Universe or something! Hahaha ;p

Speaking of Miss Asian Universes, one of the great things about my new photo gallery format is the ease in stat tracking. Apparently, the majority of my readers -- or at least, the ones that check out my pics -- are male, since the pics/thumbnails that get hit up the most are ones that show/suggest the girls! Hehe. Not that I blame you... these ladies are all hot! Can I get an Amen, brother?? =)

...This Kikkoman clip leaves me speechless...
