WELCOME TO THE BCRA WEBSITE.....
The British Columbia Rodeo Association (BCRA) was formed in 1988 when three associations within the province, the Interior Rodeo Association, Yellowhead Cowboys Association and the Vancouver Island Rodeo Association joined forces to become the primary governing body of rodeo in British Columbia. This merger created a very strong organization, which combined decades of rodeo background information from all corners of the province into one association.
Although the BCRA is a non-profit amateur/semi-pro association, we take pride for operating in a very professional manner. The association is governed by a hardworking volunteer group of directors, which is voted in by the general membership each fall. All terms are for two years, with half the board changing each year. This gives the BCRA some consistency as the board changes. From these voted volunteers, a president, vice-president, event representatives and other key positions are filled. |
