Research Experience:
Under construction....
My postdoctoral research experience included studies aimed at
understanding the translational regulation of Methionine synthase (MS) gene
at the translational level. To see a schematic representation of the pathway

Homocysteine/Methionine metabolism is very important in humans. Increased levels
of homocysteine (Hcy) is risk factor for several disorders/diseases including
cardivascular problems, Alzheimers... Methionine sythase reclaims Hcy to met,
being one of the enzymes to regulate the levels of Hcy. (The other enzyme is
CBS).

My doctoral experience was to study the regulation of expression
of a bacterial gene (glpX) present in the glpFKX operon in E.
coli....(I will add some details of the research relatively soon...)
I am currently employed at MUGLA UNIVERSITY.
