A Brief History of our Church

The church of the Brethren was founded in Germany in 1708 and were called “Dunkers” because of baptismal methods.
Church of the Brethren took it’s name at the annual conference in 1908.
We are, and continue to be one of the three “historic peace churches” in the U.S. today, placing the highest value on life and believing all war is sin.
Our church governs itself through a “Church Council” consisting of all members, each having one vote and being the final authority.

Outreach

·Visitation in homes, skilled care facilities, hospitals, the sick and shut-in, caring and sharing as the need demands.

·Responding to emergency and disaster relief, locally and world wide through various programs and ministries.

·Supporting through Christian Stewardship…
