W. N. P. BARBELLION

Admired by H. G. Wells and Raymond Queneau, likened to Joyce and Kafka and hailed as the author of 'the greatest diary a man has written', W. N. P. Barbellion (1889-1919) is paradoxically a neglected figure, unknown to most readers and overlooked by most histories of English literature. The present website, consisting of extracts from my book The Quotable Barbellion, aims at rectifying this situation. Anybody interested in learning more about the man or his work is welcome to email me at bondhutton@aol.com.
