Welcome To TorontoDogs Email List Homepage!

At Toronto Dogs, we hope to create a discussion forum surrounding all issues regarding dogs living in Toronto and surrounding areas. It is meant to be a fun list, full of information ranging from local news, general dog issues and alerts to help support our neighbouring communities. We hope to help dog owners in the area find quality vet care, training, dog walkers, dog parks, feed supply stores, catalogues, groomers, events, rescues  and many other services and products not limited to these.

New members are welcome to ask questions. We want people to make connections with friends, neighbours and businesses making life in the Toronto area easier and more fun for dog owners. We also want to create a forum where responsible dog ownership and education is encouraged.

This is a non commercial list, however we are not against any business owners participating and signing their business in their signature files. We believe actions speak louder than words and that a business owner can network with possible clients by helping out as an act of good will. We neither condemn or endorse any products of services offered. There will be absolutely no selling of dogs through the list. And we will not tolerate breeders with loose ethics.

This list is open to anyone who lives in the Toronto or Greater Toronto Area who are interested or are owned by dogs. Those not living in the area are welcome, but the discussion will be geared to the GTA, although words of wisdom from other communities are welcomed.

No flames or petty squabbling will be allowed, however lively discussions are allowed. The Toronto area is a diverse place to live, so we ask members to respectfully disagree with others opinions if they feel inclined to do so, however to keep it on a mature level. Discussions will be moderated at the moderators discretion. Anyone found breaking the rules, will be warned once and then be removed. They can reapply after 30 days and their applications will be at the discretion of the moderators.

While topics do wander from the original topic at hand, we do request that people try to keep it dog related. If it is found that a discussion about something not dog related is taking up too much list time, the moderators will step in.

We want a fun discussion list where people feel comfortable asking questions without condescending remarks. It's a lighthearted environment and we want education to be our main focus. We ask that you enjoy and please be patient as the list goes through it's growing pains. We will try to address questions and concerns about the list as soon as possible. Most importantly, have fun, ask questions and grow in your understanding of the dog community.
