This was a very big oppurtinity for us to utilize the One week Holiday
of Chinese New Year . So, We had decided to go Langkawi Island , Malaysia
.
This is a small and
beautiful Island of Malaysia .

This is a Malay Language which means that " Welcome to Langkawi " .Langkawi
, island of legends , beckons beach lovers and shoppers alike.A small History
about Langkawi .
Langkawi being one of
the 11 districts in kedah got its name from the two words " Helang " and
" Kawi " , Which means eagle and marble respectively , as they were
found in abundance centuries ago .
Places of Intrest which we had visited in Langkawi :-
Seven Wells :- Located at Burau Bay , on the slopes of Mt. Cincang , these 91 meter high seven level waterfalls are truely spectacular and you must see this .
Pantai Pasir Hitam ( Beach of Black Sand ) :- This is located at 19 KM from the main city Kuah , As the name indicate the sand of this Beach is Black in Colour which contain iron oxide . This beach is also the first landing place of the Siamese prior to their invasion .
CHOGM Park :- This park is located at the main city of Langkawi , Kuah .This park was built to commemorate the histroric Commonwealth Heads of Goverment Meeting ( CHOGM ) in Malaysia in October 1989 and is designed in the shape of CHOGM logo .
Pulau Payar - Marine
Park :- This is also called as Coral Island . You have to take boat
for going to this Island it's takes around 3 hour from Langkawi Island
and it is in south of Langkawi . It is coprising of Four Islands and their
surrounding waters, this is a sanctuary for a multitude of Marine life
. Here the water of this beach is so clear that you can see the fishes
very clearly from outside . This is a very good place for Diving and snorkeling
and also for other water sports .
We had spend a full
day here and enjoyed a lot after seeing a lots of colourful sea fishes
.
Pantai Cenang Beach :- This is a very beautiful beach for Sun Bath and water jetsking , Parasyling and a lots of water sports . Our Motel was near to this beach so, we had spend a lots of time on this Beach . In the night also you can enjoy the life of PUB and Disco at this Beach .
Langkawi Crystal Sdn
Bhd :- You will find very beautiful Crystal work here for sell and
also for exhibition . The factory will tell you the whole process of Crystal
work .
Crocodile Park :- You will see a lots of Spices of Crocodile . Also there is a two show of Croodile which is most enjoyable .
Lagendra Park :- This is located at the heart of city Kuah . This has extensive garden area designed to recreate the famous legends of Langkawi . Attraction include lakes and story telling mounments .
Temurun Waterfall :- This is very surprising that when we had gone to see this Waterfall we found no water at the fall . This is located on the edge of the rainforest and accessed by the short treck through the jungle .
Underwater World Aquarium :- This is also a very attraction of Langkawi . Here you can see Gaint Groupers , Sharks , Moray Eels and various other school of fish as you explore Asia's Largest Aquarium .
Laman Padi :- Laman Padi is nothing but the Rice Fields which is Langkawi ecotourism attraction.
Egale Square :-
Langkawi once upon a time was known as eagle island therfore today it has
a landmark of a 52 feet eagle standing sea facing at the Eagle Square .
