Contest Rules - Both Boards
If you wish to hold a contest:  You need to send this 'application' via OE-Mail to either Spax or PhiPhi stating the following:
Username:
Date:
Contest Idea:
Running Time:
Prizes:

The running time may be no more than 2 weeks in length, and no less than 1 week.  If your contest application is denied, then you may ask to have it re-instated into the others for the next time around.  Please only send your application once, however.

Only creative contests will be accepted.  No 'Draw me in a kitty suit' or "Draw the most perfect circle" contest ideas will be accepted.  They must be creative, and well thought out.

Any user notified by OEMail that their contest has been accepted will need to respond to their moderator no more than 48 hours after the application being accepted, in order to track who is winning.  If your prizes are not given out a week from the contest ending, your contest-applying abilites will be suspended for a minimum of a month.  You may only hold
TWO contests per month, and apply no more than 4 times.
The Basics-
What is Oekaki?

Oekaki is a loosely translated version of the word 'doodle' in Japanese.  It is an online java-based graphic program that lets you draw in a web browser to send to a main site.  To get to the drawing program, make sure you have an account, and click on the 'Draw' tab, and choose your program.

What is a Mod?

'Mod' is the typical term for a moderator of the Oekaki.  They're here to help make your experience a little more enjoyable, and keep the boards under control.  They have the powers to suspend accounts, give immunity on automatic deletions of unused accounts, take/give away draw access, and delete or restore pictures.  The Super Admins even have the power to delete accounts, and permanently ban users.  They're an elite group of spam-fighters too!  Make sure to listen to what they have to say, no matter if you disagree or not.  The moderators are only trying to make it easy on everyone!

Okay, so who are the moderators?

We currently have a total of 15 moderators.  They were chosen by the site and oekaki owner, Athey based upon their leadership skills, time at the boards, and general user-friendly-ness.  If you wish to become a moderator, do NOT ask for it.  Only those that the other moderators see fit will be chosen.

The Rest of the Information:

If you'd like even more interaction with the Oekaki, please register and make an account on
The Official Bakaneko Forum.  There is even more fun things to do on there, as well as plenty of people to chat with!  Post your artwork, talk about video games or music, and even get something translated into/from Japanese!  They've got everything you need in a forum, as well as some basic rules and awesome moderators!

Any user suspected of breaking a rule will be subjected to punishment by the moderator that sees/detects the offending action.  Such consequences could range from a 2 day draw-access loss, to an account suspension of up to 2 weeks.  Moderators will generally give you a warning before taking any serious action.  Please make sure to check your OEMail inbox often.  [Click on the Mailbox tab on the webpage to get to your OEMail inbox to write/check/read OEMails]
