Our Family was blessed with three little miracle's Kassandra was Born on January 22,1996, now ten years old she is very healthy and very little problems medicaly. Then a few years Later we had Dakota Rai she was born July 26,2002, for the first year she was very healthy not expecting anything to go wrong. Boy we were in for the shock of our life, 12 days before her first birthday it was found that she had a rare bone tumor in her leg ,they told us at first there was no way to save it to perpare for her to come out of the operation missing a leg. During the operation we waited and wondered what it was going to be like with a child who was very happy and full of life to find she had no leg and could not run and play like the other kids any more.Thanks to a wonderful doctor and a few operations later Dakota still has her leg is able to run and play like most kids the only thing is she gets tired easy . Then Along Came John-Robert Eugene he was born December 22.2004. To our suprise he was born with a rare condition called Trisomy 13 ,He was rushed to another hospital that had a Neonatial intersive care unit, when we finally got there he was hooked to monitors and leads it didn't look good but to this point we still was not sure what he had we just new he was ill. well on day 6 he was only on heart monitors nothing else but when the doctor came i know it was not good . the blood work showed Trisomy 13 The doctor looked at me a said take your son home and watch him die , plan his funeral he will never live past 6 months ( the commmon cold )would probally kill him ,but he would never do anything and he was sure he would never have any kinda life at all. It was a very hard thing to do but we brought John-Robert home the next day, after 7 days in the hospital. For the next 6 months i woke up everyday wondering if today was going to be the day we lost out baby boy . To the suprise of many he is still with us today he is now working on 17 months old,he is legally blind and is in a wheel chair but he is working hard on getting head control and wanting to walk he is making great imporvment everyday . John-robert has only been hopsitalized for extra finger removal on each hand and he has had two eye operation for glacoma and on April 28 he was taken to the hospital for unknown reasons finally they said the reason was he had a asthma attack and he had signs of aspiration but we are doing a little better now and thanking God for everyday day he has given us with our little miracles.
