Please help! I have been laid off since the end of January, and have not been able to find work. I have been working odd jobs, mostly framing houses, and daily labor on the days I don't have work. My wife works in an office for most of the day, and cleans cars and houses at nights and weekends. In May of 2001 I graduated with a double major in Applied Physics and Computer Aided Manufacturing Technology and a minor in Applied Mathematics . I put myself through school working as a welder and production coordinator for a company building special purpose bridges. I was laid off the Wednesday after the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. My emphasis during my Physics coursework was Computerized Data Acquisition used to automate data collection and analysis, as well as providing logical control in repetetive machine operations. I have never been a beggar, and have worked as hard as I could to support my Wife and our three sons (15yr, 13yr, 2yr). I pay my bills as they come due, and try to be as thrifty as possible, but I never seem to be catching up; We just get further down in debt.
