EASTER EGG FRAME

MATERIALS:
Small amount of crochet cotton thread #10 in pastel color.
Crochet hook # 7
Small piece of cardboard
Glue gun and glue sticks
Small piece of ribbon in matching color.
Rust proof pins
Flat piece of cardboard 
1 cup of sugar and ½ cup of water for the solution.

FINISHED SIZE:
4 1/2 “ of high

STITCHES USED:
Sl st, ch, sc, dc

SPECIAL STITCHES:

Beg “V” st: Ch 5, dc in same st.
“V” st: dc, ch 2, dc in same st.
Shell: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in same sp.
Picot: ch 3, sl st in sc.

FRAME:
Ch 66, join with sl st to first ch, be careful to not twist the chain.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc in the next 65 ch, join in first 3ch.
Rnd 2: beg “V” st, ch 3, skip next 2dc, sc in next st, ch 3, skip next 2dc, (“V” st in next st, ch 3, skip next 2dc, sc in next st, ch 3, skip next 2dc) rep 9 more times, join with sl st in 3 rd ch of beg “V” st.
Rnd 3: sl st to 2ch sp. (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 5, sl st in 5th ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, 3 dc) all in same sp. Ch 3, sc, picot, ch 3 in next sc (shell in next “V” st sp, ch 3, sc, picot, ch 3 in next sc) rep around, join with sl st in first 3ch. Fasten off and weave in ends.

FINISHING:
Wash the item in warm water and a mild soap, put it in a solution of sugar (for instructions see above) shaped in a flat cardboard wrap with plastic, secure the shape with rust proof pins, let dry for several hours.
Cut a peace of cardboard in the shape of egg in the size of the fist rnd (rnd of dc); glue the piece  of cardboard to the egg, be sure leaving the half of the egg with out glue for insert the picture, or glue the picture to the cardboard before glue the tow pieces together. Make a bow with the ribbon and glue to the egg.

SUGAR SOLUTION:
In a small saucepan put ½ cup of water and 1 cup of sugar, bring to the stove in low heat, until the sugar are completed melted, removed from heat and leave to cold.
