'Spiderman 5 has just released and its now the F430 Spider! First ever pics of the new F430 in town.'
The Spiderman Series
- Spiderman 1: *ing Ferrari 355 Spider (Red)
- Spiderman 2: *ing Ferrari 360 Spider (Yellow)
- Spiderman 3: *ing Lamborghini Murcielago Barchetta (Red)
- Spiderman 4: *ing Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (Orange)
- Spiderman 5: *ing Ferrari F430 Spider (Red)
Well, thats what I have started calling him. He has the best collection of cars in Bombay. Nobody can beat him. He spins the web just like its used to be spun. And that too only on weekends. Well if the Z3 wud have still been there, he wud be having 4 Spiders. Ok, agreed that the Z3 is not a Spider, but if a Ferrari Converible can be called a Spider, then why not the Z3. *
There was a time when Spiderman used to race along with his friends in the narrow Seven Bungalows lane. And race what??? The 355 Spider, the Z3 and the Yamaha Raptor 600. It used to be one hell of a race. Wheeling on the Raptor. Coming fast and skid-stopping just inches away from the Z3/355 would have got anybody's heart in his mouth. The popular race [if you can call it a race] is always between the Security car and Spiderman. You should see the way he drives to keep up with him. [GTO and Shantanu, you could take some tips from them abt driving the cars to their limits]. Then there are the usual Santro's, Pulsar's speeding behind him , [and sometimes even red Eliminators and purple Zens] trying to take a close look at the car.
But now the races have stopped. *Maybe Spiderman has become more mature and has decided not to race with lesser cars. And since there is nobody else who drives like him, he races alone. But now the 360 is not sounding good. And the 355 has become rare. The last time the 355 became rare, we thought that it was sold. Imagine waiting outside my building every Sat/Sun for *3 whole months and not seeing the Ferrari.
And then after 3 months, he returns. No, not with the 355. I was just about to leave my house. And my younger bro who had already gone down just 2 minutes before me came running and told me that I had just missed a 360 Spider. I was shocked. He told me that he just saw Sachin Tendulkar pass in a yellow Spider. I said what nonsense. That beggar was supposed to be given a red 360 Modena [not Spider]. We ran out of the building but then there was no sign of the Spider [and Man]. Then I realised one thing. The 355 wasnt seen for 3 months and now we see the 360 Spider. It has to be Spiderman. I told my bro "IT HAS TO BE SPIDERMAN." And I had made this guess just 2 months after the 355 stopped coming. We waited for an hour and then we hear it. It was the 360 Spider and the person driving was none other than Spiderman. I became very happy. He sold a Ferrari for a Ferrari.
2 weeks later [ Sunday], my bro left for church in the evening [5:30]. *When he just reached outside the building he seen the Spider and Man. Mass ended at 6:30 and my bro caught a rick on the way back home. And just 2 minutes after gettin into the rick, he hears it [the word of God/the Gospel......whatever you call it, its all the same]. But this time the sound is different from the 360. Its louder. And its sharp. And before he could put his head out of the rick to look behind it passes. *It was the 355. Spiderman had not sold a Ferrari for a Ferrari. *He had just added another Ferrari to his collection. And imagine the shock on my brothers face when he saw the 355.
A year back too, the 355 had become a rare phenomenon. And one day my brother gets a call from one of his friends saying that he saw Spiderman in a red SL500[can we call it a Spider please......after all its a convertible too]. So twice the 355 had become a rare phenomenon and both the times a new Spider was added.
Lamborghini steps in (two years back):
It wasn't a Ferrari. The next two cars were dominated by Lamborghini. The next car was a Murcielago Barchetta, a full four cylinder up compared to a Ferrari 360. The sound was exceptional, reminded us of the 355 with tubi's. The car is quite huge and is very intimidating.
Gallardo Spyder (a year back):
Wonder what happened next? The car was sent to Delhi, and replaced by another Lamborghini. The Gallardo Spyder. Orange. Sadly, it didn't have the wheels that we were expecting it'd have. All it has are the same old boring Lamborghini wheels that were used when the Gallardo (Coupe) was first launched about five years back.
The stepping down of model seems ridiculous, but most speculate that he may be "practical".
But whats practical got to do with it? Mumbai roads have been potholed-ridden ever since until now. And conditions seem to be improving. Over that, the Gallardo Spyder is around half an inch lower than the Murcielago Barchetta.
Hmmm.... so why??! Whats so practical about the Gallardo Spyder?! Its half an inch lower, so wouldn't it scrape the underbody more?!
The answer may lie in other details instead of just ground clearance. Such as wheelbase and length of each car.
The Murcielago is a much longer car, and has a very long wheelbase. Which is why it will scrape its underbody MORE than the Gallardo Spyder.
Another aspect is the convineint automatic roof.
Ferrari F430 Spider!
He's back! Back to a Ferrari! With the impressive lineup, you can be sure he's gonna take perfect care of this beauty. Blood red and in top clean condition despite the Mumbai downpour. And tradition has been kept up. Its stillll a Spider. A F430 Spider!
From a 8 to 8 to 12 to 10 to 8. Cylinders I mean. There are already two other F430's doing the rounds (one owned by Sanjay Dutt and the other by Dewan Builders), but this is one guy who has proper experience in these exotic cars and will drive it like its meant to be.
