About our new logo.........

Autism is often described as a "spectrum disorder". Most people will agree that autistics have varied abilities and disabilities. I've heard many people say "If you know one person with autism, then you know one person with autism."

Truth be told, people who are considered "neurologically typical" are an equally diverse bunch. However, most (I think) would consider themselves to be on a different spectrum and I suspect many autistics would agree with that. It would be a dream come true if someday people wouldn't spend so much time trying to make everyone fit into a category and we could all
just be wonderful as we are.

Until that day comes, my hope and my mission for FACTS, is that we'll be a comfortable place that sits squarely in the middle with flexible edges . ("Square peg" pun intended)

Some are easier to pick out than others, but if you look closely you can probably tell which "spectrum" each colored band came from. I hope you don't spend too much time at it, though, because then you miss the beauty of how it looks all mixed up.
