CAT-BASHING CAMPAIGN BACKFIRES

Children suffer - People die.

From its beginning in 1989, the Australian cat-bashing campaign has cost and continues to cost Australia a great deal. It is now clear the campaign against cat owners and their pets is having some grim consequences.

You see the campaign has been very successful. Australia’s cat population is rapidly falling. Dogs are replacing these pets. Australia now has, on average, 3 dogs for every 5 homes .

Shocking dog attacks are now common but continue to increase.

Children are being psychologically traumatised and disfigured as a result of an ill-conceived scheme to protect wildlife.

Ironically, aside from theories, there is no proof that cats pose a significant threat to wildlife and there are no endangered animals in our cities.

Common sense tells us that if you prevent cats from hunting, you also prevent them from controlling vermin. As a result we are now over run by rats and mice in both our homes and Australia’s grain fields. This was not the case in 1989. Vermin cause food poisoning.

Some of the animals that environmentalists are protecting from cats are very dangerous. Cats kill snakes so now snakes and snake attack has become extremely common. Other species are now in overpopulation, as their primary predator has been made impotent. There was no research done into what would happen if a predator near the top of the food chain were removed. This is very strange science.

This ill-conceived scheme has the support of some of Australia’s most senior government departments. All three levels of government have passed cat control laws.

Children are impressionable and are being encouraged to hate cats. This propaganda is breeding a generation of cat haters. This will result in more pet dogs and more dog attacks.

Cats are all but harmless to humans, they play a vital role in pest control and for many animals are essential in population and disease control amongst species.

If protecting wild animals results in shocking injuries to our children, vermin plagues and snake attack then the cost is too high.

Wake up Australia.
