What we are
|
Austin Copwatch is a community based volunteer organization that keeps an eye on the police in an effort to defend the rights of the people, to prevent and discourage police brutality and harassment, and to work towards police accountability.

What we do
|
Copwatch volunteers spend time walking the streets, observing police and witnessing/ recording police interactions with citizens on camera, videotape, audio-tape, and/ or paper. We also advise people of their rights and listen to their stories.
