Background

Many high tech companies and internet startups in America face a shortage of technical expertise. To overcome the shortage, the US government has encouraged many people from oversea countries to work in the US. Many of them are Asians from India, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the Phillipines. There also exist other professionals which are not in the high tech field. Many have brought their families along and some have settled down permanently in the US. Gradually, they formed communities with substantial number of people. For example, there is a growing Asian population in the state of California and Texas.

Purpose

I have tried, in much difficulty, to contact other Asians (particularly Singaporeans) working like me in the US. I assume people from other countries feel the same way too. I have setup this website for 2 purpose :

Let Asians working in US contact each other, to find out more about how they adapt to the new environment.
Let Asians who wants to work in US find out more about the lifestyle here.

In order to realize the purpose of this site, I hope that you will recommend your friends to use the forums frequently. Any suggestions is welcome.
