Tristan und Isolde
This drawing took forever for
Warble to create. The lines, the details; all of it, was carefully processed
before execution. With the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, and the
Beardesly style, we can see the line work that influences the drawing.
With this in mind, computer chips and other semiconductor designs are
formed here in the armor decoration. Warble wanted to present this in
lieu of nature and modern technology. Most Art Nouveau artists would scorn
this idea, but life is never one sided.
The theme is based on the famous
story, as brought forth by Wagner in his operas, and represents classic
romantic tragedy. Even though Isolde will drink the poison potion in agony
over her forbidden love to Tristan, they do get some mighty fine looks
at each other. This is their unification somewhere in their dreams... |
