WE DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF IT... Yep, poor as feck we are! No covers in our set (looks around sheepishly, hoping no one remembers our dreadful attempt at "lovesong")... Unfortunately in New Zealand, bands playing their own songs don't get paid as well (if at ALL) than bands playing "covers" - ie other people's music (if I hear another renditition of "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" I swear I'll SCRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAM). So support local, original music. Don't go to a club and listen to a DJ play overseas records, go to a bar/pub whose band that night is playing their own music - orignated in their own minds, crafted by their own hands. Trust me, you are guaranteed to hear music that's different, inspiring, and even maybe sorta GOOD! There aren't any "talent scouts" in N.Z. - if you wanna record your songs, you gotta pay for it soley on your own. This may prove to be expensive - we've done some demo recordings and paid NZ$1500 for three songs. sOmE tHaNkS matt, boo, kiz, kez, jo, jeff, milly, bill, steve, mark w and mark r, richard b, nads, joie... probably heaps more - i'll kick myself in the arse later about missing you out... AND FINALLY - if you play music and get disenchanted now n then about your non-famous state and severe lack of funds and encouragement - dont give up. we're here cos we love to write and play music, right? anyone who says they play music for money is shit. they should go join a boy band. just coz youre not playing a studium or arena packed full of drooling fans, doesnt mean that your music is crap. the best bands and the best music arent in the charts (c'mon - have you SEEN/HEARD the charts lately?!?!!?) nor are the best songs heard on the radio, - the best music of all is being played by YOU. and you goddam know it! |

WHERE TO HEAR US... "Night of the Vampire" tongue in cheek song about local goth scene. Available on "SOLID GOTH HITS VOL I", released on Club Bizarre Records, 1999. ARE WE FAMOUS? errrrrrrrr... been around 5 yrs, a few line up changes (mainly rhythm section - why? dunno...), played at heaps of gigs organised and promoted by Club Bizarre; Played at Pothic Gunk in Wellington, New Zealand.
