okay. how should i boil it down? let's just say, apolo did good at the world cup in russia. first he wins the 1500m and advances with the men's 5000m relay:
"ST. PETERSBURG, November 29, 2002 - Apolo Anton Ohno (Seattle) finished in first place in the men's 1500-meter competition on the opening day of this weekend's short track speedskating World Cup competition.
Ohno skated a time of 2 minutes 20.034 seconds in the final to edge Korea's Hyun-Soo Ahn, who finished with a time of 2:20.100.
Ohno, Gray, and Smith combined with Shani Davis (Chicago) to win their 5000-meter relay heat with a time of 7 minutes 12.562 seconds. The team will compete in the semifinals tomorrow."
then he goes and wins the world cup:
"ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, December 1, 2002 - Apolo Anton Ohno (Seattle) captured the overall men's title at this weekend's short track World Cup competition.
On Sunday, Ohno captured the men's 3000-meter competition and placed second in the 1000-meters.
In the men's 3000-meters, Ohno skated a time of 5 minutes 10.544 seconds to edge out Korea's Hyun-Soo Ahn (5:10.828) for the win.
Earlier in the day, Ohno finished second in the 1000-meters with a time of 1minute 34.611 seconds. China's Jiajun Li captured the event with a time of 1:34.477.
Ohno's two podium finishes on Sunday, combined with his first-place finish in the 1500-meters on Friday, gave him 89 points in the weekend's overall standings. Li finished second with a total of 76 points."

hey all (or those that are still left). i can't say i've heard anything about apolo lately. only one thing--teen people. he's in the november issue of teen people with nelly on the cover. i hope you didn't know that already. then i'd feel dumb.

just a little update about the apolo tapes: due to circumstances beyond our control (psst...college), we're going to have to make the deadline for checks on september 15, so please stop sending them by then. if we receive any past that date, we'll let you know and either return or void the checks for you.
anyone have any apolo pics to share and stories to tell, lately? email 'em to us, and i'll put them up. (i know cyd has some, right? hehe.)

apolo was in sioux falls, south dakota yesterday to promote the opening of the new scheels (i honestly have no idea what that is...yes, i am dumb, shutup). one of the radio stations interviewed him, and they had a little game of "who has the biggest thighs?" it was between apolo and the radio announcer...so we all know who won. he also signed autographs and took pictures with the fans. (thanks cassie for the news!)
if we can get some transcripts of the interview, we'll try to put it up.

okay, thanks to tiggie and ohnozone.net, we know that apolo will be at the indiana state fair on tuesday, august 13th. he'll be at the voice xtreme air show in the marsh grandstand, signing autographs and such. the show begins at 1 pm. for the rest of the details, go here or check ohnozone. okie? go and bring us back some pictures...please?

boy, it's quiet in here, isn't it? okay, so two months is a long time. i can smell the mold...
excuses first: IT'S NOT MY FAULT! REALLY! all four of us were on vacation after we graduated. i was in china for over a month. i actually just got back about two days ago. between the heat and the pollution, and the fact that all the net cafes in beijing were closed....ehehehe...
and the other three were in hawaii. tanning. surfing. having waterfights. mmmhmm...don't ask me what THEY were doing. psst...slackers. hehe.
okay, so now that i've gotten that over with, give us some time to get back on track. i have no idea what apolo's been up to lately. i have umm...one new picture from women's si that you probably have all seen already. but i'll put that up anyway. oh! i did see the w magazine with apolo at the airport. not that that helps...but yeah, september's coming soon. hopefully, we'll get to see apolo on the ice again. he'll wake us up, i'm sure.
and kare and i have no intentions of letting this site fade into cyber oblivion, not yet. not unless she gets married and i move to tibet. yeehaw. it's good to be back. will update in a couple of days and revive what i can.

the july issue of w magazine should be out today. try the bigger bookstores if you can't find it. it's a fairly large magazine.
lots of thanks for your many kind comments about the radio interview. we are proud to say that we went to prom (with dates and all), passed our exams (hopefully), and graduated.
word is, apolo will be competing again in september. three months, folks. that's not that long of a wait. here's the link to the speedskating schedule, if you're interested.
