Long Live the Republic!
With the gracious permission of the People's Government, The Diocese of Baracao was established by the Apostolic Communion in August of 2002. Today the Apostolic Communion in Baracao stands as voice for the masses and as a place of solace and spiritual renewal for those who labor and toil.
  Mission San Salvador
Mission San Salvador is the pastoral center of the Diocese of Baracao and the scene of liturgical celebrations both lively and devotional.  The Eucharist is offered here each Sunday by the Cardinal, himself, who has adopted the Diocese of Baracao as a personal prelature. During the week, lay men and women lead prayer services here and preach the word of God. In the evening, candelight devotions are held in the mission with outdoor processions a frequent sight.
  Apostolic Charities
When I was hungry, you fed me.
Apostolic Charities was established by James Cardinal Murphy in April of 2002 to provide aid and relief to the poor and suffering of the world. Funded by private donations and weekly collections, the Apostolic Communion has set about opening centers of relief in the areas in which it enjoys a presence. Among the services provided are homeless shelters, food pantries, garment collection and donation depots and rehabilitation centers.
Come unto me all ye who labor...
The Apostolic Communion stands behind the People's Government of Baracao in it's support for the rights of working men and women. After a difficult day's labor in the factories and fields, the Apostolic Communion stands ready to provide spiritual comfort and renewal to our nation's workforce. Our Lord and Savior, himself a laborer, invites you to unburden yourself of all of your cares and troubles.
...and I will refresh you.
Let's get together and feel alright!
Each weekend, Mission San Salvador holds a beach festival featuring live rock, blues, reggae and steel drum bands, a pig roast, a fully stocked bar and a bonfire for the refreshment and entertainment of the people. All proceeds go to Apostolic Charities. Every Friday and Saturday night, head down to the beach and get ready to party your ass off!
