THIS MONTH'S MAIN FEATURE:

The Fiftieth Year begins!.

Having survived my first year with type II diabetes is of course a major coup. Thanks to the great treatment I have recieved I am doing really well again and my fitness level is certainly being reflected in the very much thinned down Tony you meet these days. A seven day stay in Prague was a welcome break and an extremely good holiday. My best Swiss mate Dennis Speich drove me there in his mercedes,the ride was 8010km's over 7.5 hours duration. We stayed in a cheap but adequate 3 star hotel, the Hotel Espirit, on the outskirts of the city in the Karlin district. Transport was easy on tube and tram and a five day pass was also cheap. We ate well, drank well and toured the markets trying our best to avoid the throngs of other tourists that packed the city for the New Years Festivals. All told I shot some 400 pictures both in Prague and at the German technical museum at Sinsheim, which we visited on the way back. I'd like to say a big thank you to all who attended the 'party of the decade,' as one person described it,(a little exaggerated me believes!);you all made it a truly memorable occasion for us both. We have no plans for the band to continue at the present and I am now busying myself with web up-dates, my job, my fitness program etc. George is in discussions with some other musicians with a view to doing a German Language 'punk' band. He is of course a smitten 'Toten Hosen' fan. That's all I have to say for now. Of course further events and progress will be reported here in my little world.
