Unfortunatly, Ivan deployed to Afghanistan a week after our wedding, but we are together, both on paper, and, most importantly, in spirit, and that is the most important thing.
He is my Knight and I am his Supergirl, and we are perfect for each other. This deployment is only bringing us closer together, and I am even more in love with him now than I was at our wedding.
If all goes according to the plan, we will be together again for Christmas for two weeks, though he won't be home for good for quite a few months after that. But it's ok. He'll be gone a year, but what's one year to the rest of our lives?
