| From Sheherazade’s taleof the “1001 Nights” comes this saga of a little boy who sets out to sea in search of adventure. His journey takes him from islands ruled by man-eating birds to haunted deserts, from castles that appear once every hundred years to marble kingdoms. Whit his friends Ali Baba, the raven Sheila and the ferryman Aladdin, Sindbad fights against awesome giants, warring midgets, fire-spewing dragons, demons of ice, fire and oil. But thanks to his courage and quick mind, Sindbad conquers all the evil spirits in Arabia and restores the raven Sheila to its original form – a beautiful young princess. |
| Video: Die Bildqualität ist hervorragend. Keinerlei Pixel. The video quality is excellent. No pixilation at all. Audio: Klar genug. Clear enough. Subtitle: Die meisten Sätze sind korrekt übersetzt und zeitlich abgestimmt. Das größte Problem sind hier die Änderungen der Namen. „Sindbad“ wurde in „Fatty“ (?!?) umbenannt und „Hassan“ in „Sam“. „Sheila“ wird hier mit „Sarah“ übersetzt, was aber die Schuld der japanischen Seiyuu r ist, da diese nicht in der Lage zu sein schienen, den Namen „Sheila“ korrekt auszusprechen. Manche Seiyuu sagen „Shela“, manche „Sera“… Die Chinesen wussten wohl nicht so recht, was sie mit dem Namen anfangen sollten. Fairly decent. Most of the phrases are translated and timed correctly. Totally understandable and mostly engrish free. Biggest problems were name changes. “Sinbad” was changed to “Fatty” (?!?) and “Hassan” to “Sam”. “Sheila” is changed to “Sarah”, but that’s the fault of the japanese Seiyuu, who weren’t able to pronounce the name “Sheila” correctly. Some Seiyuu say “Shela”, some “Sera”… I guess, the Chinese didn’t know, what to do with this name. |
