Welcome!
Feel free to put any of this stuff on your own site, or use it as you see fit.

Geocities blocked FTP access to free accounts, and there's no way I'm paying for a crappy geocities service, so everything's being moved to Fortunecity. Everything's still here, but I can't update so if you want new stuff go here: http://members.fortunecity.com/anapan8/cv/ I suggest you update bookmarks and stuff too since I don't think geocities will last too long with their new policies.

Sprites:

Alucard Re-Rip Properly done this time. The outline is there even.

Carmilla Minus the big skull thing, cause it's not really that cool and wouldn't be very playable. Sound files are in the main(small) Rondo sound pack with car_ in front of them - gotta love her death whine.

Misc 3 Minor characters from Rondo and SNES Drac-x, pictures of christopher, animations, etc.

Richter Re-Rip WOW! Unused moves?!? Why would they take out the sweep kick? Why doesn't he use the punching forward powerup? Well, they'll be in CVO, that's for sure.

Solieyu A complete SOTN quality set of the gameboy Castlevania's Soleiyu by Sonic Reaper. Injured frames will be added soon.

Chronicles Rips Some stuff I ripped from Chronicles. Original Simon, Arranged Simon, Mirror Creature (Evil Simon), Misc ingame gfx

Maria's Spells From NITM (still uncolored), also the flame Shield data from SOTN which I'm pretty sure is the same as her water dragon summon.

Sounds:

Rondo Sound Effects Found a convertorfor Rondo ADPCM format because I wanted the sounds for Carmilla. Most of the sounds in the game are here (sort them by date to find out how they were grouped, I guessed on the sample rates because they were all different. Probably over 1/2 are wrong.

The last of the Rondo sounds. This is a 3 megabyte file. Don't download it unless you really want it. It only contains dialogue for when you save characters, and if it's downloaded too much my account on geocities gets disabled for an hour due to bandwidth or something

Sounds from SOTN's common file these are in the big wave file zip further down the page, but I probably guessed the wrong sample rate for them or something, I guessed again on these ones, but hopefully I guessed right this time, and labeled them better

Maria's sound files From NITM

MISC:

New PSX fix Paint Shop Pro Selections. I used these to get the Richter and Alucard rips listed above. I'll explain what I did later

Byteflip Utility SOTN's graphics are Nybble Swapped, so it doesn't help with that, but if you run the Rondo of Blood ISO through it, you can view some of the background tiles in Spriteview

PSX Sound converter utility by the Hitmen (look up "Hitmen PSX" on google). Use this on .VB and .VH files from the PSX cd to get wave files

PSX Multirip Use this on the .PAC file on the Chronicles CD to get graphics. You need a TIM viewer to view them. I reccomend Susie with a TIM Plugin (Will post a link later)

PCM Convert I used this to rip the Rondo of Blood sounds. It made an 80 megabyte wave file out of the ISO, but there were sound effects in between the huge blocks of garbage static. The command line I used was "pcmconv -ir8000 -or8000 -if 9 -of 4 dracx.iso converted.wav"

Maria's fixed sprites from NITM. Thank Sonic reaper for the hard work of fixing them.

A couple left-over Maria pieces. I'll fix these up, and add colored versions of the spell effects here once I get the colors for them.

Axe Lord From Rondo of Blood - by SR

Skeleton Warrior Ditto

Ripped sprites from SOTN of Alucard   (updated Mar 17)   Read notes2.txt

More Alucard sprites. Updated Aug26 - Bible sub-weapon added

More Alucard sprites that were needed for Castlevania Online.   Notice that I found a new way of ripping big animations that results in a cool animated gif file :)   (July 31st)

More Alucard sprites Jump Kick, Alucard shield, sword slash ani, Super jump frames, Bat Transofrmation (updated aug26)

Even more Alucard SpritesDouble-jump (Thx to Sonic Reaper). I'll be adding the last of the Sprites in his set to this Zip file.

Ripped sprites from SOTN of Trevor   (Updated [and finished I hope] to include Duck, Duck Whip, Duck Throw, Knife, Holy Water. Sept. 4th)

Unfinished Maria sprite rip. These haven't even been renamed or sorted.   I'll be replacing this with a new and improved version very soon.   It's only the first meeting so far...

Full Maria sprite rip They need alot of work to be fully useable, but I don't have time right now. I think I'd really need to play the game to know exactly how they're supposed to be used. Also, many of them are horribly scaled to match Saturn's different Aspect Ratio :P

Richter Sprites jump, duck, death, injured, flame whip powerup. (updated aug20 - some backflip frames)

More Richter Sprites Almost all of them ripped now.

Second-to-last Richter set. A few more. There are messy/imperfect ones in this set which will be fixed (hopefully) next time.

Bloody Zombie sprites my first enemy rip,   also for Castlevania Online.   Updated August 2nd   (ani.   gif of walking)

Regular Zombie also to be used in the online game.

Bat Sprites no death animation yet.

Paranthropus Sprites All but death anim. (update, falling skull sequence, and part of death)

NOSE DEMON!!! coloring not 100% perfect, and needs assembly, but should be all there

Slogra Sprites Ripped from the Saturn game that contains only mutilated character and boss graphics. Fix isn't 100% (I think)

Galamoth Like the Slogra ones, these are from the Saturn game, and the fix probably isn't prefect. Recoloration is as perfect as I could get it. read the text file for details.

Backgrounds to be used in Castlevania Online   (updated Aug 22 - What may eventually be all the paralax layers in the opening room   = 25/942 map blocks)

Miscellaneous rips.Mostly useless ani gifs and stuff... Updated Sept. 4th - Skull Knight (uncolored, scaled and unassembled)

Misc. rips #2 Mostly damage/death effects, and other ingame special effects. Updated Aug 26: Door anims

All the Inventory Icons in SOTN including relics.

Preview of the rendered intro for Castlevania Online.

Some Rips of Grant and Sypha. This is not a complete rip.

Ripped Sounds from SOTN   (almost all of them) but many in the incorrect sample rate.   4 Meg file!

Wave files used by the zombie trio.   These are present in the zip file above,   but not in the correct sample rate.

A few sounds from my wave files collection that might be useable for the zombie trio   (since they don't have enough in SOTN to make a full game).

Every word that exists on SOTN for playstation   (I was hoping for a secret that nobody has found yet,   but I guess this proves that there aren't any...)

Castlevania SOTN font that I made.   It's just the one used in conversations and the start menu.   Not nearly as interesting as I thought it would be.   Maybe I should do a NES one...

Castlevania 3 font version 2 I took my own advice and made another NES font (the others weren't CV related). I'm happy to report it actually is more interesting than the SOTN one :). Maybe I should do a SNES one... (updated sept4 - new version)

Rondo of Blood font Turns out the SNES games' fonts are generic, so I did a Rondo of Blood font instead. Next one...?

Castlevania Legends font Boring. I think I did all the interesting raster Castlevania Fonts. I still have to look into the N64 games. Maybe that tiny one from Circlevania?

Generic font from the NITM Saturn CD. Fairly close to the tall generic font used in SOTN (except that one was nice and antialiased)

Castlevania 3 True Type Font Just the CV3 Font above painstakingly vectorized to integrate into Graphics Programs and stubborn computer systems that won't accept raster fonts.

Animated Cursors. Only Alucard Running   (much too fast) and the Ghost Familiar so far.   (Update: semitransparent version of ghost added)

Graphics and sounds for Jump&Bump remake.

A SOTN Ripping Tutorial at the request of TTI and Blitz.   If you use this, please share your rips with everyone so homebrew game authors can make us more Castlevanias.   I think everyone will agree that there's not nearly enough (Castlevanias that is) :)

Blaze Screen Saver with a few cool CV pics to set on fire.

Game.com Pics of the discontinued SOTN game   (I believe these are all of the pictures of the game avalable anywhere)

Hi-color Gameboy Roms   (freeware);   These pictures work on a real gameboy,   or the emulator VisualBoy.

Seq2Mid Convert Playstation   .SEQ files to Windows MIDI format   (SOTN's Library music & Confession Booth bells).

Stupid AVI with dubbed SOTN sounds.

My failed attempts at creating Castlevania music in Mario Paint to enter into the summer competition at   www.zophar.net.   I debated putting these up here because they pretty much suck   (you've been warned).

Castlevania for PC. I decided to upload this because someone was looking for it a while back.

A wallpaper I made a while ago.   Nothing special, but it's got a Paranthropus and that's all that matters.

Well, you've all seen the littlest SOTN map ever, now prepare to be shocked and amazed by the BIGGEST SOTN map ever. This is only a preview (shown at 30% of actual).   The full version will be finished in roughly 13 years when I finish ripping every area of the castle.

Dracula's Curse: The Page Eric Roman's site. The largest repository of everything Castlevania 3, or Slogra related. Try reading through everything that's there :)
Castlevaniac While I'm at it, not enough people link to this site for the work that went into making it.
Castlevania Legacy VEP's page kicks ass, It contains the largest animated Castlevania Gifs collection on the net
CastleMania SkahottKun used some graphics from this page in his comics. "Shut the hell up, Richter." LOL.
Castlevania Creations Rand Belmont's RPG is coming along nicely. I'm a team member there so take a look.
Vic Rattlehead's COTM Site The best COTM site ever. Contains detailed info about everything.
Land of Benediction Good Vampire/Castlevania site. It's in Spanish, but it seems to be very complete.
Jaws-V soft These guys are remaking Dracula X on GBC, with Chibi SD graphics!
Pixelboy's GBC WishlistSOTN on GBC? Sweet! I'd actually rather see it ported to GBC really well than GBA
Peekin's Utils This guy made an excelent program called SpriteView that can view the NITM sprites!
Castlevania Online Looks like this might be the official Castlevania Online site for awhile. I made it, BTW.
My Homepage The online backup of my offline homepage. It's bad. don't go.

Today's feature presentation: A pictoral review of all the items in SOTN.
I couldn't help it, I had to see them all lined up so I made a quick 2 minute page. I probably should've had the items in each category sorted somehow other than alphabetical, but that would likely require extra thought and time.

And another update on my Saturn Sprite Ripping progress; I found a viewer for the sprite data! I don't know if it will work on all of the stuff, but it does work alot of it, I've added the viewer's homepage to my links.
Here's the settings I found to view the standard 16 color sprites used for almost everything: "4" - Linear (press twice), Palette: Grey, Block width/height=1x1, Tile Wrap 32+
All they need now is proper palettes

Another intersting thing, While trying to view SOTN Playstation graphics with it, I noticed that they're still coming out a bit garbled. I think it's because the data is Byte-Swapped (Big Endian/Little Endian).
I've just verified that the PSX data is indeed byte-swapped AND I found a way to fix it! - Update, it's Nybble Swapped, and the author of Spriteview is adding support for that to his utility :)
Playstation un-byteswapper selection Find the graphics you want on the SOTN CD using the sprite viewer (same settings as above). The graphics will look a bit garbled (spikes on the tops and bottoms). Now press Print-Screen, and paste the picture into Paint Shop Pro. Resize the image to 50% (maintain Aspect, Pixel Resize) and crop it to only the graphic view window (should be 256x176 or less after cropping). Next load the psxfix selection (Selections -> Load from disk). If you cropped to less than the full window, it will ask you if you want the selection moved, choose yes. Using any selection tool, drag the selection over 2 pixels to the right. The image should now appear correct :) You will probably need a screen shot so you can apply a proper palette to the picture. The Color Replacer tool works well for this (255 brush width is recomended)
