Recording of Mudi breed dogs by owners is now available with the FSS. Application forms are available via download through the AKC's website: www.akc.org (or) via these AKC webpages directly: http://www.akc.org/insideAKC/masterform.cfm#Registration
(or) or through the AKC Customer Service Department at 919-233-9767 Please follow the directions carefully provided on the application form, and send only photocopies of the dogs pedigree with the application form to AKC. FSS Fee Schedule: First time FSS recording for one
dog
$35.00 Mudi's that have FCI papers from an acceptable foreign Kennel Club such as MEOE (see the AKC website for the complete current list) (or) UKC registration papers, will be eligible for recording with the AKC FSS. The Mudi you wish to record using FCI registration papers or UKC registration papers must have at least a sire and dam on the pedigree. No full 'B' or 'R' dogs will be accepted. Anyone can register a Mudi with the AKC FSS program. The owner nor the Mudi must live in the USA. As long as the Mudi has acceptable registration papers, the Mudi is eligible to be registered with the AKC FSS program. Multiple sires, frozen, fresh extended and fresh semen are able to be used from foreign and domestic studs that are AKC FSS registered if they live in the USA or registered with an accepted foreign registry such as MEOE if they live in Hungary. Special forms and fees apply. Pregnant bitches are also allowed to be imported and registered in the AKC FSS program. Special forms and fees apply. Litter recording is available to previously AKC FSS recorded parent Mudi's only. The litter must be born in the USA to be eligible for recording. The Mudi will not be able to enter any competitive or conformation events at this time. 150 Mudis with 3 complete generation pedigrees recorded in the FSS, a national breed club with members in at least 20 states and an approved standard are necessary to meet the requirements to enter the companion dog events of agility, obedience, tracking, and with special permission for the breed asked of the AKC by the AMA, herding events as well. When this level of recording requirements
are completed, Mudi owners and enthusiasts will be notifed via this
website
and the AMA yahoo group. As of
10/3/2005: 6 Mudi's have been recorded in the AKC FSS, 4 have 3
generation pedigrees. Please register your Mudi today. If
