Welcome to the world of Miniature Shorthorn Cattle. This registry was established to record and preserve bloodlines of animals who qualify by their characteristics and/ or pedigrees to be entered into the AMSR herd book.
There are 2 varieties of Miniature Shorthorns....Beef or Dairy type, with polled or horned in both. There are many unusually small ASA bred Shorthorns born every year, and now there will be a future and a market for them, that is profitable to both the commercial breeders and the fanciers in the Mini world.
There are also many animals "out there" that have all the desirable charcteristics with unknown pedigrees that can be registered upon photo inspection as an appendix registered animal.
