Alto Saxophone

Alto Sax
[ Home ] Introduction ] Search Page ]

Altosaxhorn is a site dedicated to the Alto Saxophone, its (the alto's) short history, and, of course, the Beuscher Aristocrat.  Of course I don't mean this to be an all-inclusive site about the alto saxophone, but I hope that someone somewhere will learn some new and interesting fact about the saxophone after surfing through my site.

On the following pages you will find information about the history of the alto sax, my thoughts about the Buescher Aristocrat, a listening page on which you can find links to music on the web, info on the different models available to the player who is searching for a sax, an entire page all about the Buescher Aristocrat (unbiased), and some advice about going used or new when buying a sax.

If you couldn't tell, I own a Beuscher Aristocrat "B" model.  I feel that, though it isn't the prettiest horn ever, it plays wonderfully and has been great to me.  This is not meant to be a propaganda site for the Aristocrat; I simply want to talk about this hidden jewel that many people overlook when looking for a horn to add to their collections (or start).

However, this site is only in part dedicated to the Aristocrat Alto.  It is, as I have stated, a site about the Alto Sax in general, and that is what you will find information about on my site.
