The Alpine Plants of
New Zealand
Introduction:
This site is for those interested in the cultivation and ecology of these plants. I decided to make this website to introduce the fascinating plants that grow in the mountains of New Zealand.
My name is Ross and I live in Dunedin, New Zealand. Dunedin is a small city near the bottom of the East coast of the South Island. I have  graduated with an Honours degree in botany from the University of Otago. My Honours project was on the
photosynthesis of alpine plants on the Rock and Pillar Range. I have been cultivating New Zealand alpine plants for 10 years now.
In 2005 I won the Alpine Garden Society (UK) Sir William and Lady Lawrence Award for contributions to the cultivation and knowledge of alpine plants.
