| > > About NFC IET National Fertiliser Carporation of Pakistan is one of the largest employers of qualified engineers particularly in the field of chemical engineering. In order to meet the requirement of trained manpower for chemical process industry especially in the Fertilizer sector, a Training Center was established in 1985 with the technical assistance of M/s. COSMO international Co. Ltd., Japan. To further diversify the activities of the Centre, NFC with the approval of Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan upgraded the Centre in 2994 and started graduate engineering classes initially in Chemical Engineering discipline and changed its nomenclature as "NFC Institute of Engineering and Technological Training". Degree programmes in Computer Systems Engineering and Electronics Engineering were introdeced in NFC IET in 2001, to keep pace with the world, meeting the demand for qualified engineers and trained workforce in the new engineering fields related to IT. The degree programs of NFC IET are affiliated with Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. Pakistan Engineering Council, the apex body to regulate engineering education in the country has recognised and accredited the Chemical Engineering Programme. It is expected that the Electronics and Computer Systems Engineering will also be accredited this year. |
