Calmira LFN 3.32

This is the second release version of Calmira LFN. I have fixed a few bugs and corrected the icon shading function so now it looks better in version 3.31 and fixed two more bugs in version 3.32. Also, I've implemented custom window borders (through WM_NCPAINT) so now the windows look a lot more like Window 95/98 ones. To see what have changed since my first tests and Beta versions, see Calmira LFN Version History I am also putting here a the source files so everyone can download it and modify at will.

If you want to test my modified version, download it with or without the installer, and the source here.

If you are upgrading from a previus version or from Calmira II you may find useful reading README.TXT, as it shows how to make Calmira LFN think it is the first time it is executed, so it will install my new additional color scheme ("Calmira LFN Blue (HiColor)"). Notice that the color scheme won't be automtically selected.

    Things I still want to implement:

    As of 2007, I do not plan on working on Calmira LFN's source code any longer, but here are features I wanted to implement:

  • A tab in "Desktop properties" dialog for changing the screen saver;
  • Turning "My computer" and "Recicle bin" into special shortcuts, like "My documents", so they could be explored, like in Win9x; (this one would require major modifications in the way files and folders are managed)
