C.B.G. MIGNOT Some information on this well known French editor

THIEL Mr. Thiel was an eminent collector - editor who assembled and edited about 1300 Napoleonic flats (moulds). He started around 1930 taking over some moulds of former possesion of editors Biebel and Brandt. Only some years before WWII he started to "complete" Napoleonic (French) Army choosing subjects never edited with flats before or afterwards. He specialized in non-fighting units, as Napoleonic Post service, Service de Santé, Veterinarians, Pioneers (building a bridge), Cavalry watering horses, camp scenes of many different units , Musicians of many units, Craftsmen and beautiful staff units of Duchy of Warsaw and Neapolitan Army. Consequently, these figures are especcially suitable for dioramas.  Many of his flats have been edited using Cdt.
