Free software for PDA under Windows Mobile

Important notes

This site presents free programs for PDA with processor of ARM family. For the time present the site has no any special design and is simply a container giving a possibility to download the programs. All the programs are provided AS IS without warranty of any kind.

After download you can use the programs for free, but on your own risk and responsibility. Of course, programs were tested and have no defects that are known to the author. But the author has no any responsibility for possible damages and losses of any kind that could result from using programs. If you download a program from this site, install and run it, it means that you agree with the statement mentioned above.

Programs

Description of the programs and links for download are given below. Please note that every program is accompanied by "Readme.txt" file containing short user manual and user license agreement. The file will appear after program installation in subdirectory of AleksSoft directory corresponding to selected program. You should read this file before installation (using link in the table below) or starting program for the first time.

Pocket Ancestry Download Readme What is new V.1.10.1	Pocket Ancestry is a program that gives you a possibility to view genealogy information from the file in GEDCOM format. Not all the attributes of GEDCOM standard are taken into account. For the details please see program help. Pocket Ancestry runs under Pocket PC 2002, Windows Mobile 2003, and Windows Mobile 2005 in only portrait layout. Genealogical data could be displayed in various layouts: list of all the persons in data file, list of "patriarchs" (persons having great-grandchildren, i.e. persons, which have descendant tree with selected number of levels in depth - three levels by default), information about one person selected from the list, tree of all the ancestors or all the descendants of selected person, family of selected person, parents' family of selected person. User has a possibility to tune some aspects of program behavior. Screenshots
Time Zone Download Readme What is new V.1.2.3	This program is for travelers and all the other persons who need to co-ordinate their time in the current location city and the other – target – city. Being a plug-in to Calendar program, Time Zone changes appointment start time so that in current city it corresponds to the time of appointment in its "target" city, which will be selected by user. This correction provides correct displaying of appointment start time after setting of "target" city as current one in Clock program ("Start/Settings/System/Clock/Time"). Time Zone adds also supplementary text to Location property of the appointment. This gives a user possibility to see "target" city for the appointment and it's time in this city. Time Zone v.1.2.3 runs under Pocket PC 2002 and Windows Mobile 2003. This version is the last for mentioned operating systems. Screenshots

Modify And Call Download Readme What is new V.1.0	Modify And Call is a standard Contacts add-on for Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 2005 that allows to make the following kinds of calls directly from Contacts: USSD calls. Corresponding dial string will be generated by Modify And Call from template and phone number that is selected in Contacts. For example, template could define that the Phone should dial 110 then phone number selected in Contacts (suppose it will be +1(234)12345678) and service symbol "#", so that the whole dialing string will be 110+1(234)12345678# ; calls that use calling card data. Corresponding dial string will be generated by Modify And Call from template and phone number that is selected in Contacts. For example, template could say that the Phone should dial calling card number (e.g., 12345678), then make pause for 2 seconds, then dial PIN number (e.g., 0987), then make 4 seconds pause and at last dial the phone number selected from Contacts (suppose it will be +5(678)9012345), so that the whole dialing string will be 2345678p0987pp+5(678)9012345 . Program provides a possibility to tune dialing string generation using data of configuration file that will be installed to the program directory.

Tune ClearType Download Readme V.1.0	Tune ClearType is a program that allows to enable or disable ClearType by means of changing settings in system registry. It also allows to select (from existing in the system) algorithm used for displaying text with ClearType correction. Please take into account that the program was tested only for the iPAQ 3850+Pocket PC 2002 platform.
DelNotifQueue Download Readme V.1.0	DelNotifQueue is a program that allows examining content of system database "DB_notify_queue" and deleting unneeded records from that DB. User defines which records are unneeded. Database mentioned above contains records for every alarm or reminder set by the user. In some cases alarm or reminder deletion in Calendar program doesn't delete the record in DB_notify_queue. As a result you will receive sudden alarm. Deleting of such a record with the help of DelNotifQueue will correct the situation. Please take into account that the program was tested only for the iPAQ 3850+Pocket PC 2002 platform. Screenshots
