| Okay, now before you get on me about this, hear me out. A lot of people hate the 80s, for obvious reasons. Many people say it was one of the worst decades we've had. That is wrong. There were many cool things in the eighties. And here they are. |

| Cartoons Okay, you have to admit that the 80s had some of the best cartoons that will ever be seen on this planet. Maybe not the best acting, but most of the other things were good. They had morals, and were actually for kids. None of this alluded adult crap that's in almost any cartoon I see. And they didn't suck your brain dry. Most cartoons today are just funny, or just stupid, and there's no point to it. Kids just get stupider and stupider watching them. So, I thank the 80s for having great, character building cartoons that helped make me the person I am today! My favorites, that I remember, were Thundercats, He-Man, Silverhawks, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Music Ha, just kidding. It sucked, for the most part, anyway. A couple of good songs here and there. And it did influence a lot of stuff. But, over all, it could have been much better. Next subject, please. Us That's right. Us. If you're reading this, you were either made in the 80s, or grew up during them, or both. So, you can't dis them, because you're part of them. Be happy. I am. Movies The 80s had some great movies. It had some terrible ones, too, but many were awesome. Like Star Wars. Many people hate it, but I like it, although I haven't officially seen them. The movies were great, and had a whole different feel to them. Besides the stupid clothes, you can tell an 80s movie just from the feel of it. If any of you know any good 80s movies, e-mail the titles to me, and they'll get put on here. Toys Along with the early 90s, this period of time had the greatest toys. Today's toys are mostly for show. The action figures were the greatest. We had play sets. Remember those? You don't see those anymore. And for those of you who didn't know, they(I don't remember the toy company) rereleased several of the He-Man toys. So, check them out. The toys were great, and we had so many. I don't remember a lot, so, if you do, e-mail me. Clinton and "W" weren't President Two of the biggest idiots I've seen in a long time. Okay, Clinton needs no explanation (although I have to admit there are days I'd welcome him back). W might. He just looks like a little punk kid to me. You can so tell his dad was the president. And so you all don't get up in my face, I didn't like Gore either. They both just look stupid. And it's not because W is southern. He just looks like he's empty. Kind of like Pinnochio. Or a teddy bear. Finally, Saturday Night Live and MTV were better. I'm sure you all have noticed how much these two "shows" have degraded over the years. SNL is boring. MTV is nothing but a big money popfest. They claim to show heavy, hardrockin', for real bands. But that music sucks, and is getting all popified now. And what happend to the videos? What can I say about SNL? It was much better back in the day. Wayne's World, how I miss thee. |
