Hi there. In this simulacrum of a personal web page, you will find a tiny handful of resources I created during the three last years or so. The Mudding section contains a few helpful pointers to MUD admins regarding their liabilities in regards to harassment and illegal behaviour of their players.
The gaming section contains a few of the FAQs I wrote, most of them duplicated on several FAQ sites on the web. I hope you will find these useful.

Regarding the Mudding Section

This page originated from a couple of heated discussion on the MUDConnector's legal discussion forums. To make a long story short, the topics revolved around admin vs. player rights, legal recourse and Freedom of Speech.

After the usual flaming receded, the truly usefull stuff finally emerged. Despite the high noise / low signal ratio, some people, including famous Polly, Helena, KaVir and Avenger, brought up interresting points and started to hint towards existing material.

Being a former MUD immortal myself, and a non-American, I finally got intrigued enough to delve through the US legal stuff myself, collected some info and summarized it on a brief. The next step, of course, was to get this one hosted somewhere. Since I plan to maintain this document myself, it was only fair, I guess, that I hosted it myself. This gave birth to the present site.

Along with the legal brief, I hoped to add more topics covering MUD administration. In the meantime, however, and as is often the case with this kind of personal sites, I confess I lost interest. This site has thus become nothing more than the repository to the liabilities FAQ.

You will note that some of the material presented here presents the traditional bias of an immortal. If you are a player and wish to contribute or rebut, do not hesitate to mail me directly.
