Our carriage house awaited our arrival in June. Trees blown down over the winter had graciously missed our little jewel.
The first order of business was putting up insulation, vapor barrier, and then drywall. We put the house up in four weeks. Insulating and drywalling took about four weeks in itself.
The next order of business was to get the hot tub up and running. This is a cedar hot tub heated by an external chofu stove, built locally in Haines.
Finally, siding completes our little home in the woods.
Next year, we hope to begin building the big house. Just look at the view!
