| Of course the question I always get is "why"? That's a hard one to answer. I saw my first 300zx when I was a teenager in South Carolina. From the beginning it was love at first sight! I vowed to one day own such a car! Well, the rest as they say is history. This example is the second Fairlady I have had the pleasure of owning. My first one was done up to respectable standards with the usual "paint, mag's & tweakl's". Being that the car was NA, I decided that I wanted to go for something with a little more "kick." So I decided to take a dive and purchased a 1991, Gunmetal Grey, TT, Manual 2+2. And that's where it started. Since then the car has become the passion, pleasure and money pit of my life. I keep telling myself that the first two far outweigh the last but my accountant disagrees vehemently!!! I of course reply to him that his "ride" ( a Porsche) is a $90,000 bucket of crap. That naturally is the answer to the "why" question. If you are going to spend money, time and passion on a car, at least make it a car that you can say: "I built this and it is the only one like it." |
