ROYAL AWARDS & MEDALS
The Royal Awards and Medals, after given the blessing by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak, shall be awarded to the subjects and peoples who has done good deeds to the State of Perak in priority and also Malaysian from other States. The purpose of these awards given are :-

(i)         To recognized the deeds and honour by the receiver, whether he or she is a government
            servant or a commoner.

(ii)        To recognized the heroic deeds of the bravery given by the army personels and also the
            commoners.

(iii)       To award medals for the Defence Personals, the army, police and also volunteers in the armed-
            forces.

AWARDS CATEGORIES :

The State Awards that will be given to the individuals mentioned above due to their excellent services
to the State of Perak in priority and Malaysia in general, is as follows :-

(i)        
Darjah Kerabat Di Raja Yang Amat Di Hormati.
           
( The Royal State Award of the Royal Family )

(ii)         Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Perak Yang Amat Mulia Cura Si Manja Kini.
           
( The Royal State Award of His Highness Cura Si Manja Kini )

(iii)        Darjah Kebesaran Taming Sari Negeri Perak Yang Amat Perkasa.
           
( The Royal State Award of the Bravery Taming Sari Negeri Perak )

(iv)       Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Perak Yang Amat Mulia Mahkota Perak.
          
( The Royal State Award of His Highness )

(v)       Pingat-Pingat Kebesaran.
          
( The Medals of Honour )

The receipient of this First Degree Award is only subjected to 30 receipients only and the receipient shall be given the title of Dato' Seri.
(ii)        DATO' PADUKA CURA SI MANJA KINI  ( D.P.C.M.. )
The receipient of this Second Degree Award is only subjected to 70 receipients only and the receipient shall be given the title of Dato'.
(iii)       PADUKA CURA SI MANJA KINI  ( P.C.M. )
The receipient for this thrid category is subjected only to 100 receipients.
The COLLAR for the First Degree Award is designed with the State Emblem that embosed with the
Royal Weapon, which have eight edge stars and a circle enscripted in
Jawi with the word IDRIS SHAH

For the First Degree Award the STARS have eight edges which is in silver plated and shadowed, with a
diameter of 8.9 cm. In the centre is engraved the picture of the Royal Emblem and written " KEPADA
ALLAH BERSERAH "
( In God We Trust ). The SELEPANG (a cloth wears across the body) wears with the award is normally in stripes colour of White, Dark Green and Yellow. The width of each colour is
not constant as each award has its own colour matching given.

For the Second Degree Award, there are no COLLAR but the STARS are the same as the First Degree Award except for the size in which the diameter is 7.6 cm instead. The badge (LENCANA) of this award is also the same except for the size which is much smaller that the First Degree Award,

The Award for the title Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini  (P.C.M.)
.is much more defined than that for the award for the title of Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak ( D.P.M.P.). Although these two awards are of the same ranking, the selection of the receipient in the award of Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini is more selective as it involved in the much better quality services rendered by the individual.
DARJAH KEBESARAN NEGERI PERAK
YANG AMAT MULIA CURA SI MANJA KINI.
( THE ROYAL STATE AWARD OF HIS HIGHNESS CURA SI MANJA KINI )

Listed below are the State Awards for the awards to be given to be recognized by the State of Perak in
particular. The Awards are categorized in three main categories and each category has on certain
numbers of awards to be given out. The categories are as follows :-

(i)       
SERI PADUKA CURA SI MANJA KINI  (S.P.C.M.)
DARJAH KEBESARAN TAMING SARI
NEGERI PERAK YANG AMAT PERKASA.
( THE STATE OF PERAK AWARD OF BRAVERY OF TAMING SARI )

This new Award has been given the name 'Darjah Kebesaran Taming Sari Negeri Perak Yang Amat
Perkasa' and designated into six standards categories and specially for the members of the Armed
Forces and Police serving the state / country. With this new Award specially designated for them, as
such they're not entitled for the other Awards which is 'Cura Si Manja Kini' and 'Darjah Mahkota Perak'.

The Award for 'Darjah Kebesaran Taming Sari Negeri Perak Yang Amat Perkasa' is divided into six
categories as follows :-

(i)       
DATO' SERI PANGLIMA TAMING SARI  (S.P.T.S.)

           The receiver of this Award is limited to 10 personel only and enjoy the title of Dato' Seri
           Panglima, and bestowed only to Army Officers from the rank of Lieutenant General upwards
           and the Police Forces from the rank of Deputy Chief of Police (Timbalan Ketua Polis Negara)
           upwards.

(ii)      
DATO' PAHLAWAN TAMING SARI  (D.P.T.S.)

           The receiver of this Award is limited to 30 personel only and enjoy the title of Dato' Pahlawan.
           Only bestowed to Army Officers from the rank of Brigadier General to Major General, and the
           Police Forces from the rank of Deputy Superintendent.

(iii)     
PERWIRA TAMING SARI  (P.T.S.)

           Limited to 75 personel and bestowed to Army Officials from the rank of Major to Colonel and
           the Police Forces from the rank of Deputy OfficerIn-Charge to Deputy Superitendent.

(iv)   
  HULUBALANG TAMING SARI  (H.T.S.)

           Limited to 100 personel and awarded to Army Officials from Second Lieutenant to Captain, and
           the Police Forces from Inspector to Deputy Superitendent.

(v)     
KESATRIA TAMING SARI. (K.T.S.)

           This Award has no limit in the numbers given and awarded to Armed Forces personel from the
           rank of Sargent to Waran Officer and the Police Forces from Sargen to Sub-Inspector.

(vi)     
PERAJURIT TAMING SARI.  (P.T.S.)

           This Award has no limit in the numbers and awarded from rank of Private to Koperal for both
           the Armed Forces and Police.

The
COLLAR for this Award is the KERIS, the LEAF GARLAND  and the royal seal STARS.

THE STARS MEDAL for the (i) and (ii) degree is the same in shape and designed except for their sizes. The STARS are of eight edges and coated in silver, diameter of 8.9 cm. (7.6 cm. for the (ii) degree) and
having border line in red in which in the middle is white in colour. The Keris 'Taming Sari' is embosed and on its sheath is written the word in jawi "KEPADA ALLAH NEGARA". On the top of the edge is embosed on it the sword 'Cura Si Manja Kini' and with the Royal Seal Stars on it.

The MEDAL is carved and made from silver, in the middle is red in colour and embosed on it the 'Keris Taming Sari'.On its top is the white ribbon design made of silver and engraved with the word 'Darjah'. The medal is worn on the neck with the
COLLAR which is 5 cm. in width.

The
SELEPANG (a cloth worn across the shoulder and under the arm) is in the colour of white, yellow and green. The width of the SELEPANG for the (i) degree is 9.5 cm. and the second (ii) degree is 8.9 cm., with the colour width being balanced.          
DARJAH KEBESARAN NEGERI PERAK
YANG AMAT MULIA MAHKOTA PERAK
( THE STATE AWARD OF HIS HIGHNESS MAHKOTA PERAK )

This Award is divided into Four categories as follows :-

(i)  
SERI PADUKA MAHKOTA PERAK  ( S.P.M.P.)

This First Degree Award are normally bestowed to those who have given great contribution to the State after some period of time and who has great influences and responsibilities to the State. This Award is limited only to 50 receipients and for such it is an honour for those to receive this First Degree Award.
This First Degree Award is classified as the utmost honour for those who were to received them and it carries the title of
Dato' Seri (Sir Excellency). It is normal for those who have received the Second Degree Award (D.P.M.P.) to be given this First Degree Award (S.P.M.P.) after some period of time.

(ii)   DATO' PADUKA MAHKOTA PERAK  ( D.P.M.P.)

This Second Degree Award is limited to 100 receipients and normally bestowed to those who has high position in the society and also has contributed to the State with honour. To qualify for this Award an individual must have great influences in their respective position for the good of the State. The receipient of this Award carries the title of
Dato' (Sir).In the case of a civil servant (government officers), to qualify for these Second Degree Award, one must be in the Group Division 1 in the Civil Services and have achieved at least the rank in Category 'F'.

(iii)  DATO' MAHKOTA PERAK  ( P.M.P.)

The receipient for this Third Degree Award is limited to 175 persons. To qualify for this Award one must contributed to the State an achivement in their respective jobs or works, but not necessary to have a great influences as requiered in the Second Degree Award, but can be classified as unique, in the sense that a person who has achieved successfully in a specialized field or a heavy job and proven success in the years of his/her carrier. For those served in the Civil Servants, this Third Degree Award is given to Government Civil Servants in Division 1, and those who are in the position not lower that Category 'G'.

(iv)  AHLI MAHKOTA PERAK  ( A.M.P.)

This Fourth Category Award is limited to 450 receipients and bestowed to those who have served well and achieved successfully in their respective jobs in the State. For the Civil Servants, they're qualified in Division 1 (normal category) and those Government Officials in Division II and specialized in certain fields.

For the 'Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Perak Yang Amat Mulia Mahkota Perak', the
COLLAR is the same design as 'Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Perak Y.A.M. Cura Si Manja Kini' except for the jawi lettering inscription with the word 'YUSUF' and also, the STAR have diameter of 7.6 cm. and motto written "TAUFIK KEPADA ALLAH'.

The
SELEPANG worn together with this Award is in balaced colour of white, yellow and black with its width in different sizes according to each Award categories.

For the Second Degree Award, there is no
COLLAR and the STAR is 6.4 cm.in diameter and the BADGE is same as the STAR except the size is slightly smaller than the Award which is much higher category.

(ii)     Pingat Pekerti Terpilih. ( P.P.T.)               -       No Limit in Numbers

(iii)    Pingat Jasa Kebaktian  ( P.J.K. )               -        No Limit in Numbers
         ( The Medal of Honour )

(iv)    Pingat Lama Perkhidmatan  ( P.L.P.)        -        No Limit in Numbers
         ( The Medal of Long Services )


The terms and conditions of the receipients for the above medals is as follows :-

(i)      PINGAT KEBERANIAN HANDAL  ( P.K.H.)

This Medal can be given to anyone who has contibute, to the State of Perak, a heroic deed which is of great status and achivement and putting him/her life in great danger for the State.

(ii)     PINGAT PEKERTI TERPILIH  ( P.P.T.)

This Medal can be given to anyone who has contribute, to the State of Perak, a great  achievement or good deed to the State.

(iii)    PINGAT JASA KEBAKTIAN  ( P.J.K.)

This Medal can be given to anyone who has made contribution to the State other than heroic deed, that is an individual who has contribute his/her work to the State with special skills, helping the society, and of good behavior and given as an example to the society.

(iv)    PINGAT LAMA PERKHIDMATAN  ( P.L.P.)

This Medal is given to anyone who has served and been loyal to the State of Perak for at least 25 years of services to the State. His/her achivement is proven with his/her own accord and loyalty in carrying out his/her duties during their term.of service. and can be of an example to the others.
AWARD FOR NON CITIZEN.

The Awards to be given to any individual who is not the citizen of the country will only be given the Awards as The Grand Order.(kehormat).
