Philadelphia has become a city of murals. One of the more popular ones is this one created by Meg Saligman in 1999, to be found at the corner of 13th and Locust Streets in Center City East. (And - no - that well-positioned automobile is not an extension of the work.)This mural and roughly two thousand of its mates are coordinated by the City's Mural Arts Program, which started as a way to redirect the artistic talents of grafittists.
