Songs

Welcome to my collection of P/K song lyrics

There are happy songs, sad songs, Tom songs, Harry songs. It's just amazing how many slashy songs are out there...

On this page, I'm hoping to catalogue some of the 'Tom and Harry' songs that various people, including myself, have found. As far as I am aware this may be the only P/K song lyric archive on the net. You've probably noticed they're not in alphabetical order, this is because all the new lyrics get added on at the end to save me work, and to make new lyrics easier to find if you've visited before.

You Make Me Breathe

This song is by The Mission from the 1992 album Masque. I've always thought of it as echoing Tom's feelings about himself, and for Harry, as they are portrayed in so much of the fanfic that's out there. It could even fit a possible relationship/breakup with B'Elanna, with Tom only discovering his true feelings afterwards!

You Make Me Breathe

Like A Child Again

Another one by The Mission, again from Masque. I feel this one's also a 'Tom' song, at least it makes me think of him and his feelings.

Like A Child Again

Sanctum Sanctorum

This song is by The Damned from their 1985 album Phantasmagoria. I find this song makes me think of one story in particular, called 'Timed Out'. Apart from saying it involves a character death, I don't think I should say anything else about it. It's a P/K story, obviously.

Sanctum Sanctorum

Tonight Is Just For Us

This is a folk song by Marian Bradfield from her 1994 album Tonight Is Just For Us. It's also available on the Folk Compilation CD Celtic Woman which was released in 1996. This song kept on going through my head when I was writing my P/K story 'One Year Of Love'. I feel the song is curiously appropriate to the canon I used in that story (which is available on this site!), although again it would fit in with a Tom/B'Elanna break up. Whatever way you look at it, I think this is a 'Harry' song.

Tonight Is Just For Us

Heaven Knows

This song is by The Mission from the 1995 album Neverland. I could *not* get it out of my head so I wrote a P/K story based around it! This one I feel is both a Tom *and* Harry song.

Heaven Knows

Eternal Flame

From the album Everything, Eternal Flame is probably the most famous song done by the Bangles. It stayed at the top of the UK charts for weeks in 1988.
I recently heard it again and it struck me as a wonderful P/K song. Just imagine Tom singing this to Harry, late at night, when they're alone together. Mmmm.

Eternal Flame

High

I've been fighting a losing battle with this one for a while. It's by the Lighthouse Family from the album Postcards From Heaven and is only one of at least three slashy songs from the same album...
I think it's perfect for a P/K relationship that has developed after Tom broke up with B'Elanna (traumatically). This is definitley a 'Harry' song (IMHO).

High

Friends and Lovers

This is what I think of as the ultimate P/K song, it's just perfect.
The song's by Gloria Loring and Carl Anderson, and I have to thank Joanne for sending me this or else I would have remained completely unaware of it!

Friends and Lovers

Mellow Doubt

This Song's by the Teenage Fanclub, sent to me courtesy of Trudi.
It really makes me think of the thoughts that could well be going through both Tom and Harry's heads when perhaps they are thinking about where their relationship could (or maybe should) go.

Mellow Doubt

Everything I Own

Apparently this one has been done by all sorts of people; from Bread (David Gates wrote it) through Olivia Newton John and Boy George to 'N Synch.
Christopher, who sent it, thinks it's a breakup kind of song. I think I have to agree, it's certainly very poignant.

Everything I Own

Now That I Found You

This one's a country song by Terri Clark (written by J.D. Martin, Paul Begaud & Vanessa Corish) and Anita, who sent it, thinks it's perfect for Tom to sing for Harry.

Now That I Found You

To Love You More

This is another one that was sent in by Christopher, who thinks it may make a good wedding sort of song. It's by Celine Dion, from her 1998 album Lets Talk About Love.

To Love You More

Save Yourself

Amirin sent me this, saying it was an angsty post 'Chute' song and that she could see both Tom and Harry doing different parts, so that's the way it is here. It's by Stabbing Westward (which seems curiously appropriate).

Save Yourself

Feed Me With Your Kiss

Here we have another sent in by Trudi. This one's by My Bloody Valentine, and she feels both Tom and Harry would do different bits of this one too.

Feed Me With Your Kiss

You Had Me From Hello

This one's by Kenny Chesney, and was sent by anne. I agree with her in that it brings up definite mental images of the episode 'Caretaker' for me too!

You Had Me From Hello

My One True Friend

I love the words of this, it was sent by Annie who didn't know who sang it at the time. The version that I found was by Bette Midler.

My One True Friend

The One

I think it was Christopher who sent this, it's by the Backstreet Boys. And call me what you want, but I think this is a 'Harry' song; again it reminds me of 'Caretaker' and season one in general.

The One

Love Never Dies (part 1)

I've loved what I could hear of the words of this song for ages, but it took me a long time to find the lyrics. It just screams P/K at me :-) Love Never Dies is by the Norwegian based ebm outfit Apoptygma Berzerk (there's also a part 2 and 3).

Love Never Dies

Everything You Want

Asuka, who also finds relationship songs, suggested this one by Vertical Horizon. She says the song just spoke to her of the P/K relationship.

Everything You Want

No Place That Far

Anita pointed me in the direction of this song by Sara Evans, saying it had been her inspiration for a couple of Post 'Timeless' stories. Having read the lyrics I can see why.

No Place That Far

You're My Best Friend

This is another one suggested by Anita, by Tim McGraw. The words make this a perfect P/K song and I have to agree that it's works best from a 'Tom' perspective.

You're My Best Friend

Touch You

I found out about this song by Celtus from ASCEML indirectly; Maggie thought the chorus made a good basis for a Challenge fic. Being the P/Ker that I am, it immediately reminded me of post 'Chute' issues (again). She very kindly sent me the lyrics in their entirety, and I *still* think it works as a post 'Chute' song...

Touch You

Born To Fly

Here we have another Sara Evans song, again sent in by Anita. And with a title like this, what else is it going to be but a 'Tom' song? I especially like the line about the 'brown-eyed boy'...

Born To Fly

Never Had a Dream Come True

Terranfem suggested this song by S Club 7 and this is what she said about it...' I feel this one is a Tom song that's full of angst where, even though he's married to B'Elanna already, a part of him is still very much in love with Harry. The one he'll never forget.' Awww. It does work though...

Never Had A Dream Come True

Need To Be Next To You

This song by Leigh Nash was sent by Joanne. I think it works equally well as either a Tom or Harry song but set earlier in Voyager's run rather than later.

Need To Be Next To You

What if I Said

Trekker 47 used this lyric in her P/K story 'Honor' (minus one verse that doesn't really fit). I'm posting it as it was used in that story as it fits in so beautifully with the P/K universe that she wrote. The actual song is by Anita Cochran and Steve Wariner off Anita's album Back To You.

What If I Said

Crash and Burn

This Savage Garden lyric was suggested by anne, the PKSP listmom, who said 'To me, this seems to be a Harry to Tom song;' just read the lyrics and find out why!

Crash And Burn

Follow You, Follow Me

I hadn't heard this song in years until recently when it was on the radio. It connected straight to the P/K bit of my brain (I have one in my head somewhere, I think). The song's by Genesis, from the Album And Then There Were Three.

Follow You, Follow Me

You're Gorgeous

This is by Babybird, and it was Q the Immortal who suggested it saying, 'The first time I heard "You're Gorgeous" I thought - that song is just so *slashy*, and wouldn't it make a great P/K song.' Obviously I agree as it's here...

You're Gorgeous

When You Say Nothing At All

This was suggested by someone on PKSP, but I can't remember who unfortunately. Ronan Keating did this as a solo effort and I think it *may* be from the film 'Notting Hill'.

When You Say Nothing At All

Sometimes When We Touch

Michael posted these lyrics to PKSP; he said that 'something just clicked' when he heard this after watching Voyager. The song has been recorded by all sorts of people, including the Denver Gay Men's Chorus which is the version that was included when I had the sample page. What can I say... I just couldn't resist it for a P/K song!

Sometimes When we Touch

I Was Born to Love You

Strangely enough, there are a few Freddie Mercury/Queen songs which scream P/K. This is the one that screams the loudest to me though... it's perfect.

I Was Born To Love You

Love of My Life

In contrast, this is a really sad one by Queen, and would be ideal as a Harry to Tom song, after a break up; regarding B'Elanna, perhaps? Even though it's so sad there is still an element of hope there...

Love of My Life

Lose Myself in You

Another song by The Mission, from the 1995 CD Neverland. This one is very much a Harry to Tom song. It's all there in the words...

Lose Myself in You

Unicorn

This one is definitely a post Chute song as far as I'm concerned. Though it would work for any emotional trauma from either Tom or Harry's POV. It's by Apoptygma Berzerk, off the 2001 CD Harmonizer.

Unicorn

Like A Hurricane

I love this song anyway, but the first verse is *so* P/K and early P/K at that. It makes me think of that first meeting in Quark's. The original song was done by Neil Young (I think) but the version I adore is by The Mission from one of their first singles way back in the late 80s.

Like A Hurricane

Miracles

Matt from PKSP suggested this one, it's by the Pet Shop Boys and is available on their Greatest Hits CD - Pop Art. It's a great song for either of our boys, but I think it's more of a Tom to Harry Song than the other way round

Miracles

Never Let Me Down Again

I was listening to Depeche Mode the other day, and I can't believe I'd never associated this song with P/K before. It's definitely a Harry to Tom Song, and funnily enough reminds me of the Episode 'Drive', but the innuendo in this... I love it! You can find the song on Music for the Masses or The Singles 86 - 98 CDs.

Never Let Me Down Again

It's No Good

Depeche Mode again! This one is a Harry to Tom song, but the slightly more assertive Harry we see later on in canon, or in my 'Devil in a Red Dress' Universe. You can find the song on The Singles 86 - 98 CDs.

It's No Good

Alone Again Or

To make a change from Depeche Mode, I ended up listening to a compilation of The Damned. It struck me how much this song makes me think of Harry; resigned, but still annoyed by Tom, and still wanting him. Poor Harry! The song is from the 1986 album, Anything.

By the way, unless expressly stated otherwise, all opinions are mine! Feel free to disagree :-)
