ADAPT is the nation's premier grassroots disability rights group with over 5000 members in 40 states. ADAPT is an activist organization which mobilizes thousands of disabled Americans to demand an end to the discrimination against and segregation of people with disabilities. ADAPT seeks to change discriminatory policies such as institutional bias in the nation's medicaid community.
ADAPT Montana is actively working to:
Get
people with disabilities freed from institutional settings and returned to
their communities with the support they need.
Assure
that local places of business and public accomidation are accessible to all
citizens, in compliance with the ADA.
Organize
persons with disabilities and their allies to demand the civil rights accorded
to all Americans, and put and end to discrimination and segregation on the
basis of disability.
