Alberto Cobo has discovered a great opera, Laura y Don Gonzalo, by the leading Spanish composer Ramon Carnicer. This constitutes the first Spanish modern Opera with libretto in Spanish. Ramon Carnicer was the teacher of Barbieri, Gaztambide, Saldoni y Hernando (these were the precusors of the zarzuela), among others.
Maximo Lopez was the first organist of the Spanish Royal Chapel. Alberto Cobo has realized the first edition of the complete works for key and fortepiano. Also, he has made the first edition of an unknown work, probably his main work, and the first Spanish modern zarzuela, El disparate o la obra de los locos, The absurdity or the work of the crazy men.
